Snailkit and Ashkit no longer have kittencough!

Cloverkit has passed away from kittencough. Harmonyleaf stares silently at Nectarnose as he says a few lazy words at the vigil and returns to his nest with a bored yawn.

Harmonyleaf is grieving. She has only one energy a moon till it lifts.

Harmonyleaf can't cope with how Honeykit keeps asking when Cloverkit is going to come back.

Smokekit, Fernpaw and Cardinalkit have developed whitecough. They have one less energy per moon and it will take one herb to attempt to heal them.

Webpaw is out gathering herbs with Melodicpaw and Duckpaw, watching as Melodicpaw awkwardly explains that no, that isn't catmint, Duckpaw, that's grass, but thanks for trying anyway, when he heard the crunch of footsteps in the frosted grass behind him. A black blur tackles him, but before he can fight back, he realises it's actually a very happy she-cat with fluffy black fur and one of her eyes the same green as his. She proudly announces that she's his sister and asks to join the clan. Webpaw, ignoring the giggles of his companions, is, of course, skeptical, but after the rogue incident, the clan needs more warriors. So he takes her back to speak with Speckledstar.

Pinebreeze has joined the clan!

Duckpaw stares out of his normal spot in the apprentices den, watching Cricketkit drag Willowkit and Melodicpaw into her game. He bitterly wonders why everyone else gets to be so happy, with their stupid alive parents, while he has to be rotting miserably like this. Though, he supposes, he's almost a warrior now. He can't lie around forever. And there are things he can do to honour his parents, who are surely watching over him, like requesting a warrior name to honour them (although Duckcherry did sound a bit silly) or naming one of his future kits after them. Either way, they aren't... gone forever, he supposes. He'll see them one day. And he can't spend his whole life in his nest. He drags himself out of the den, walking over to join in Cricketkit's game. Duckpaw is no longer grieving!

Watching Willowkit play with Cricketkit, it's like something in Wingwater's monotonous, dreary routine has finally shifted for the better, and he silently vows to protect this kit with his life. Third time's the charm. Wingwater is no longer grieving.
