Three Weeks Later

Ulric said he had a surprise for me. I had my eyes covered with a bandanna as he left to his tent to grab something and I waited at mine. I didn't expect it coming, he just out of know where said he had a surprise and blind folded me.

I heard him come back over and he sat in front of me, "Okay, take it off." he said.

I reached up and quickly slid down the cloth to see two big brown bags in front of me. My eyebrows furrowed together, "What is this?"

He pulled one bag towards me, "Just open and see." he said. I pulled the bag onto my laps and peeked inside. I found a purse, a bunch of makeup, books, some hair things, some music of singers I grown to life, and a pair of sandals.

I chuckled, "Ulric-wow thank you." I said since it was allot of stuff I liked. "How'd you pay for this-"

"Aeriela, it's rude to ask how much things are." he said. He pushed the second bag over and I chuckled, opening the bag up to see some clothes inside. I squealed loudly because I love getting new clothes. I pulled out a few pair of jeans and some really cute shirts, "You'll be starting school tomorrow and girls should always get a few new outfits. According to my mom for my sisters."

I held the white flowy top with lace on top, "Feels like my birthday but with better gifts." I put the shirt back in the bag and leaned over, pecking him hard against the mouth. "But you know didn't have to spend your working money on me. I didn't make that money myself."

"I think putting up with me is allot of work." he said, making me giggle. He reached into the first bag and pulled out a book, "How about your read this book to me?"

I read the title, "Anna and the French Kiss? Is it good?"

He laughed softly, "I don't know but the lady said it's good to read for girls your age. Come on, read it to me."

I groaned a little, "I don't know, the book a little bigger then the one hundred page books I read and their mostly for children."

He crawled over next to me, "Come on, I believe in you. Only way to get better is to get out your comfort zone." he said, placing the book on my lap. I stared down at the book for a moment unsure until I picked it up. We laid back in the tent as I slowly read out loud the book. I hated reading out loud and I had to pause allot to sound words out. It wasn't easy but it wasn't impossible. It was hard in the beginning but I spent many hours with a 'tutor' reading and doing simple math problem. I'm scared of math because she said it get harder.

I was nervously tugging at the hem of the flowy white top after I got out of the car. I could feel my heart racing in the school parking lot where there wasn't as many humans as there was around big yellow cars called bus.

Mat got out of the car and I turned to face her, "Mat, I can't do this. I wanna go back-" I tried to go around her and go back into the car but she grabbed me.

"Oh no! Aeriela, it's gonna be alright." she said, placing her hands on my shoulders and gave me a small smile. "Don't worry about it, just sit in class and pay attention to the teachers. Don't be scared, you're a brave girl. School is no big deal."

"Did you have an awesome time in school?" I asked.

"Eh. . .my high school experience will be different from yours." she said, making me scoff. Ulric came over next to me and took my hand in his. "I didn't like any of the kids I went to school with until the last half of the year after I met Killian. Relax, it's gonna be great and you'll be with many pack kids from Nate pack. I hear even one of the was from a Rogue family in your grade. When lunch comes, you'll be in the same lunch as Ulric."

I groaned, "There's still to many humans."

"You'll do great. You've been with the pack long enough to control yourself." she said before hugging me tightly. She took out her phone and held it out to Killian, "Take a picture. Show Clyde and Sofia how exciting Aeriela is."

"Uh Alpha Matilda, she doesn't look very happy." Ulric said, taking the phone.

She put my arm around my waist, "Smile." she said. I forced a big smile on my face and she chuckled, "Don't make it look so fake. I know school sucks but you might actually like it."

We both smiled at the camera of the phone when Ulric took a picture and Mat took her phone back. She gave me one more last encouraging hug before she got back in the car and the driver drove away. I turned to Ulric with a concern look on my face, "I'm gonna make a fool of myself."

He chuckled, "How about I walk you to your homeroom class?"

Ulric put his arm around my shoulder and lead me towards the school building. I held my bag close against my chest and avoided looking at the humans teenagers who eyed me a little. I lowered my bag down and licked my nervous lips.

When we walked into the building, I felt suffocated with so many kids around. Ulric slid his hand down my mind and we beezed our way around the others. He asked me about my schedule and map on the back of the school. He looked down at it, "Sophomore is on the east wing of the first floor. Hmm, we don't even have to go up a pair of stairs. See that sign, that's east wing." he said as we went over and went into a long hallway.

I looked around and saw many humans are their locks with friends. Allot of them were talking and telling about their summers. The lockers were a light blue color and the walls were white. I was able to look in some of the rooms to see desk and chairs everywhere with some people inside of them already.

Ulric pulled me over towards a locker with an E36 on it, "This is your locker, meaning no one else uses it." he said. He showed me how to put the code in but I felt a pair of eyes on us. I looked up across us to see some humans girls looking at Ulric and talking about him. I breathed heavily out my nose and I stepped towards them. Ulric noticed and he quickly grabbed my arm, pulling me back, "Hey now, relax." he said.

I glared them for a moment, "Dumb human girls." I mumbled as I turned back to Ulric. He showed me how to use the locker again and it took a few tries until I got it covered. The locker was empty with a few stickers that I see allot of cars. I turned to face Ulric pouting, "I guess this is where you leave me."

He reached out and took some of my red hair in his hand. Front strains of my hair was pulled back and my long red hair hung down in waves. "You're gonna be fine. Try talking to people but make sure it's not anything about wolf stuff. Like about your favorite singer or how excited you are for school."

"But I'm not."

He chuckled, "I know, I meant to say hate it. Lots will agree with you. You're first class is that room right there," he said, pointing at a room with the door opened. He leaned down and pecked me hard on the mouth, "Goodluck. I'll see you at twelve." he said. He gave me a big hug and I didn't want to let him go but he put his hands on my waist and pulled me away. I pouted him and he cup my cheek for a second before walking away.

I watched him until he turned the corner of the hallway. I bit my lower lip as the hallway was getting more clear from student and I hesitated before walking over towards the room Ulric showed me. I walked into the room where lots of kids were talking and being loud. Many were sitting on top of desk and messing around.

Maybe I should just go. Yes, I should just go back to the camp site and be happy there. I started to turn around when an older woman came over, "Do you need help finding a class, Aeriela?" she asked.

I turned around, "Uh. . .how do you know that's my last name."

She smiled, "Alpha Nathan made sure you were in my first class. I'm Mrs. Rudy." she lowered her voice a little. My eyes widen a little since I hadn't expected her to be wolf. She was maybe in her late twenties with short dark hair and big round brown eyes. She held her hand out towards a student desk, "Here, you can sit in the front."

I moved over towards the seat and sat down. I awkwardly stared down at the desk, not sure what to say since I had no one to talk to. No one from the pack with me. I don't have Mat or Ulric with me so I felt alone.

Two girls came over, one of each side of me, and the girl with chestnut color hair reached down towards me. She took some of my hair, "Wow, what bright orangish-red color you have. Is the drapes down there red to?"

"Huh?" I questioned, looking up at her confused.

The other girl chuckled, "Are you a fire crotch?"

"Your boyfriend pretty cute." the first girl said.

I pulled away from her touch my hair, "Yeah? Well he's mine."

Both of the girls giggled, annoying me since I don't know what was so funny! The girl leaned down towards me, "Not if I do anything about it."

I tilt my head up, "I suggest you move your piss smell breath away from me." I said pretty loudly, making the room quiet down and soon they started laughing. The girl face redden up and she looked pretty darn pissed.

"Hey now, what's this?" Mrs. Rudy said, walking over. "You two go back to your desk in the back now."

Both girls glared down at me before walking away. Mrs. Rudy gave me a 'behave' look before turning around and started the class. She made us introduce each us, starting with me. I was first to go and I felt so awkward speaking out loud, "Uh, hi. I'm Aeriela Vaughn."

Mrs. Rudy smiled, "Alright, you're next." she said to the kid beside me.

I don't know how many times I was asked if I was a 'fire crotch' which I still don't understand what it means. School was so weird since I had to ask if I could use the bathroom. Actually I had to ask I could do anything other than sit there and listen to the teacher. I followed some students to the 'cafeteria' and I grabbed a blue tray that they were grabbing.

My back got stiff as we got into a line where the food was and not to much of the stuff looked good. I grabbed a cheeseburger, water bottle, and some gross looking fruit that came out of a can. I came up to a cash register and the old human lady behind it said $2.25. I reached behind me to get the money Mat gave me and I handed her the five dollars. I looked around the lunch room for Ulric but I couldn't find him.

I did see Rascal and he was walking over towards a table full of kids. They seemed to not let him sit and reject him from the table. He walked over towards another table where I saw Luna at and they both talked to each other.

The lady gave me money back and I put it in my pocket. I held the tray against my stomach as I beezed around the teenage humans. I walked over towards where Rascal and Luna were. They looked up at me for a second before Rascal pulled the seat out, "Join the rejects." he said.

I sat the tray down and sat down. I looked behind me at the other table where pack kids from Alpha Nathan pack was. They all looked at us with looks like they didn't like us and I turned my head back around to look at the other kids.

"Why don't they like us?" I asked Rascal.

Rascal rolled his eyes, "They're apart of the Rogue families that rejoined the pack and we're Alpha Matilda pack. We're rejects."

"So much more different than what we're use to back in our old packs." Luna said, rolling her water bottle around. "I'm putting up with because of what Alpha Matilda did for my father but it's hard to make big changes."

"This isn't Alpha Matilda fault." Rascal said. He pushed the tray away, "This whole school is stupid. We need our own territory, our own school. We shouldn't be sharing things with other packs. My first shift is in two weeks, I want a real home. Our own woods."

In the corner of my eyes I saw Ulric and I turned my head around to see him paying for lunch. I saw a few girls around him though talking to him and he was talking back to them. I made a low growl in my throat with jealous and my hands ball into a tight fist.

"Down Aeriela." Rascal sarcastically said. "He's just talking to them, chill."

I turned my head back to them quickly, "Why does he need to talk to them? Their stupid human girls."

Luna shrugged, "Ulric just a friendly person. He talks to everyone."

"He shouldn't be around other females. Males yes but other females no. Ulric is my boyfriend and means he shouldn't only talk to me." I said.

"Honey, it doesn't work that way." she said. "Boys need freedom and it's not like he's doing anything seriously wrong. You're coming off as a crazy girlfriend. You should know Ulric isn't exactly boyfriend material, he likes to mess with allot of girls minds. He was a big player back in Massachusetts. It's hard to tame players."

I scoffed, "We're wolves though, our rules are different." I said as I quickly got up and walked over towards Ulric. I walked over towards him and put my hand on his chest, pushing him back, "Hey." I told him.

He smiled down at me, "Aeriela, hey. This is Amanda, Sarah, and Lacey. Their some girls in my grade. Girls, this is Aeriela."

I found it kind of weird how he told me they were some girls from his grade but just told them my name and not who I was to them. It was a male job to let other females know he's taking or I'm his. "We should go back to our table. Leave them alone with their kind." I said, confusing them but I didn't care. I took his hand, "Come on-"

He pulled away surprising me, "Chill, Aeriela. It's called being friendly to people."

"We don't need to be friendly with them, their not one of us." I reminded him because he clearly forgot. We don't hang out with humans, we're to different from them. I forced a smile, "Ulric, come on. Rascal and Luna are waiting." Ulric stared at me annoyed for a moment and I lowered my head as I stepped away, "Fine. . .hang out with them." I said as I turned around and started to walk away.

He grabbed my hand, "Aeriela, just relax. It's no big deal."

I pulled away, "I'll see you at the table when your done being friendly."

Hi guys! I just wanna say before you think Aeriela being to clingy i just wanna remind you she isn't use to modern tame relationships and that fact she never been in one before. Wild Wolves are territorial creatures so to her she feels like she needs to 'protect' what is hers. Yes, she is being clingy but she needs to learn how to not to be.
