part one - vi.
Mat
I was helped into the large room by Killian was holding my arm. I heard voices of many Alphas but many of them hushed as soon as I came into the room. I scoffed, "Oh don't get quiet just cause I showed up." I sarcastically said.
"Mat!" I heard a familiar female voice and I quickly recongized it even after all these months. I saw a figure of a girl come towards me with dark hair before she wrapped her arms around me. Melinda hugged me tightly and free my arm from Killian so I could hug her back. "You look so good." she said, chuckling.
"I wish I could see what you look like." I said as the hug broke. I could see her only a little, she was very blurry. I knew she was wearing some blue off the shoulder top with dark jeans. Her long dark hair was hanging down straight. "I didn't expect you to be here."
"I knew you would come so I had to. It's feels like such a long time." she said. "I heard what happen, I'm sorry."
I shrugged, "I'm still alive, just eighty-five percent blind." I sarcastically said. "Serious though, I'm dealing. Everyone alive and safe, that's all that matters."
"Yes." I heard a voice. "That is the imporant thing."
I cleared my throat, "Alpha Alaric." I said, nodding my head in respect.
I was met with a bunch of other Alphas. Allot of them I have never even met and won't remember their name since there is fifty-one Alphas in one room and most of them were men. It was hard to make converstation with men who knew what they were talking about when I was just an eighteen year old girl and I feel so dumb at the moment. I wanted to join in on those converstations but I didn't feel like I belonged in that group.
I was glad when it start. I sat down at the table in the meeting room of a hotel were all told to go to. It was in the ballroom and my back chilled at the thought of a possible another attack. But the ballroom of an hotel was big and the hotel was owned by Wolves. Nate promised they have high tech security and nothing like that massacre at Alpha Alaric party last year will happen again.
"Would you like anything to drink?" a female waitress ask—I could smell her being a wolf.
"Uh, big glass of vodka?" I jokingly asked and Killian hang tighten in mine. I forced a smile, "Kidding. Ice tea please."
The lights were turned on, leaving me completely blind until large projector was turn on and shown something on the white flatten draps and I couldn't see what was on it.
"What was found at the scene were these. A bunch of needles with Belladonna in the syringes. They were also taking blood simples." Nate started.
"Why isn't Alpha Matilda doing this?" an Alpha spoke. "It was her pack that was attacked."
I growled, "Do I look like I'm in any way to present this?" I asked. "I'm almost blind, I can't see what's on the drapes."
Killian cleared his throat, "She had asked Alpha Nathan to talk at this meeting. She helped him get it all started up though."
Nate continued on with the meeting with the other Alphas that were homes to America. He spoke loud and confidant. He told them what I wrote down what happened and some of the others members on what they witnessed. I told them about the human Hunter Shane and the man name Faulkner.
"They took interest in Alpha Matilda." Nate said. "They noticed that she is different from the others. When her eyes shifted color and since her eyes don't turn a golden yellow color they shot her."
"In the eyes?" another asked in amusment. I stiffened up and my hands roughly balled into a fist. Killian put one of his hands over one of mine and held it.
"The Hunter shot her in the eye because it was where he pointed. I don't believe he intended a certain place. That isn't imporant, her having wild blood caught their attention." he said.
"It doesn't matter, our bloods are the same." an Alpha said. "Only difference is she's just stronger. Nothing about her and our blood is different."
"I said caught their attention, I didn't say they'll find anything different from yours." Nate said with a slightly hard tone in his voice since he also has wild blood in him.
"So we have no clue on who they were." an Alpha said, finally getting to the point that we don't know anything about them! Finally, someone smart. "There haven't been Hunters since our kind went into hidding hundreds and hundreds of years ago. We turned into stories and legends. The only humans that know about us are the ones we paid to insure our secret is kept."
"This is a scientist who were trying to find." Nate said. "A man name Faulkner. He must have paid these people to come find Alpha Matilda pack."
"Who were hidding in your woods." I heard a familiar voice. "Because she has no home for them."
"Isn't the point, Alpha Lincoln." Nate said. "The point is—they were attacked and managed to come out alive. A scientist is out there who has our blood and our secret is gonna be exposed."
Lots of fighting and agruing happened on what should be done. Everyone agreed to investage on the humans that had been trusted with our secrets. I hated all of this crap and I wish I was just back with my pack.
"If we are investiaging humans now, it should be every single one of them." Alpha Lincoln said. "Alpha Matilda, don't you have a human teenage friend back in Oregon?"
My lips pressed together roughly, "Yes? I have known Emily for a long time though and how she came to learn of us is not my fault."
"I am only asking." he said calmly. "I see it as my role as Alpha of Oregon to check up on her."
My blood quickly went cold at the thought of Alpha Lincoln around Emily. My hands pressed against the table and I growled, "You stay away from Emily. She has nothing to do with it."
"How are you so sure about that?" he asked.
I scoffed, "She sixteen! I doubt she just randomly told any scientist about us."
"Well sometimes you just don't know people like you think you do." he said, making me dig my nails into the wood.
"I agree." I said.

I lowered my hands, "They tried killing me in there a bunch of times with their words." I said. Killian, Nate, and Melinda were all sitting outside of a cafe. "Allot of them took turned grinding me."
"Their assholes." Melinda said. "They like picking on young Alphas. You just prove to them your not dumb like they think you are."
"Brave of you to come here with us." Nate said. "Knowing the history of your father and Mat."
"My relationship with my father isn't the best as it use to be." Melinda said. "Before I made him bring me here, I haven't talked to him in over a month. Allot of things are coming out, things I didn't know about my dad. My mom having a hard time getting divorce papers."
"Isn't easy when your dad is Alpha." Killian said.
"Right." she said, sighing heavily. "My mom gonna have many years fighting with him before even making arrangments on who gets what. Wolves divorces aren't easy. At least she's very healthly now to be able to do it."
"Your mother wouldn't be Alpha if they did, would she?" I asked.
"No, my father will still be Alpha." she said. "Things back in Oregon are getting rough. Money and everything. He is still greiving the lost of Marco. He's having a hard time moving on."
"Marco was his child, his only son." I said. "His hier."
"And I lost my brother." she said coldly. "My twin brother. Losing him is like losing apart of my soul. We shared a womb, we grow up close together until Marco met Blue. Allot of people lost a relative that night. My father isn't being an Alpha. He locks himself away in his study, he ignores his pack members, and he becoming weak. He is very skinny now. He has to think about his pack."
"It'll all be fine." I said, reaching my arm out and rubbed her shoulder. "Suprisingly, I miss you Melinda. Strange not fighting back and forth with you."
"Hmm, I have really changed my way allot." she said. "I grew up allot when I was out in the wild. When I look back, I realize how childish I had been and wish I could go back to slap myself. Trying to get in yours and Killian way—it was wrong of me. I guess I just didn't want to be left."
"Past is in the past." I said.
She breathed out heavily, "I guess I'll just be a lonely lady for the rest of my life."
"Oh don't say that." I said. "You'll find someone to who'll wanna be with you."
Melinda snorted, "Doubt it. I ruined my reputation when I ranaway to be with Aydin. No wolf—not even a divorced one—will want to be with me. I been getting into allot of charities and doing some social evants to make my name good but it's gonna be awhile." she said, sounding bummed out.
I felt bad for Melinda since this is wedding season for allot of young wolves. Melinda probably should be married by now with a kid on it's way but because she was tricked by Aydin and ranaway her reputation isn't very good right now. She has a long time to work on her reputation thanks to that idiot.
"I have a solutation." Nate suddenly said. "I'll marry you."
My eyes widen and Melinda scoffed, "Ha-ha, Nate. Very Funny."
"I'm being serious." he said, sounding serious also. "I need a wife, an Alpha female. And you need a husband. Come on, lets me serious. You know you won't be able to find a husband in this lifetime."
"Nate, dude." Killian said coldly.
"What?" Nate asked. "I have no time for dating and it saves me from the high pack members introducing me to their daughters. What do you say, Melinda?"
"Nate, stop kidding around." Melinda said. "It's not funny."
"Does it look like I'm laughing?" he asked. He cleared his throat, "I may have—" he sounded awkward and hesitant to speak. "Thought you were pretty since I moved to Marchand when I was seventeen."
Killian laughed, "Is your face turning red, Nate?" he asked, making me grin. I couldn't believe where this is all leading to. Nate leaned over and hit Killian to shut up. "Aw, I see wedding bells. Mat, Melinda blushing to!"
"Shut up!" Melinda hissed coldly.
"Ignore him." Nate said. "Melinda, you know we both don't have any other choice really. I won't make you do anything, I just need a wife. You need a husband and your father would agree to it since I'm Alpha of Texas."
"Is that really your prospsol?" I asked sarcastically. "'I'm the Alpha of Texas.'" I mocked him.
They ignored me though.
"You're also the Alpha is wanting to bring in Rogues." she said. "I maybe agree since I am spending my life alone now."
"He'll agree, trust me. Blackmailing is easy for me. It's not like you don't know me anyways and I'm sure it'll be better than spending your life alone. I'll give you the wedding you want, big or small. I'm willing to spend the rest of my life with you. We're both crazy anyways. " he said. "How about it, Melinda? Wanna get married?
Melinda was quiet for a moment with nervousness since even I knew this was out of expected. I'm sure she just came to come see me, not get engaged.
"Okay, yes." she breathed out. She giggled, "Yes Nate, I'll marry you! I mean, as along as Mate agrees to be my maid of honor."
My eyes widen again as I brought my hand up to my chest, "Me?"
She giggled, "Yes you. We been through allot together and I want you to be in it. Come on, don't make me beg."
"Ew, don't want that." I said, chuckling. I breathed in heavily, held for a moment, and breathed out, "Sure, why not? I mean, I don't know if I'll be an awesome one but I'll try. Now one more things."
"Hmm?" both Nate and Melinda said.
I brought my left hand, wiggling my fingers, "You need a nice ring on your finger so when my vision is better, I can see it sparkle. Where's the nearest jewlary store?"

When I smelled Nate come near us, finally arrving at the plane I breathed out in relief, "Thank God, I know your still alive now."
"Oh come on, I beat Talaus. I could take Linoln." he sarcastically said.
"He looks a little tired." Killian told me. "Like he has been fighting with a sore looking top lip. How'd it go, Nate?"
Nate breathed in heavily from his nose, "Fine. I mean, yeah he was kind of pissed because I hadn't come to him to ask. I reminded him a few things and Melinda fought with him. It took some time before he just agreed to let us get married. She'll be arriving with her mom in two weeks to come live. They can start planning it when they do."
"Aww, that's great." I said, chuckling. "And how unexpected, Nate."
"I am that kind of person, remember? Always dropping a bomb on someone."
"Oh come on, Nate." Killian said, chuckling. "How long have you been in love with her?"
Nate clicked his tongue against his teeth, "Well I am close to being nineteen soooo—two years."
"Well you seemed to make her happy." I said. "She seemed to be happy to be getting married, I'm sure she spent her childhood imaging her wedding day like any normal little girl."
Aeriela
I walked into Ulric room where he was laid on a bed sleeping. Harley was next to me but she quickly went over next to him and took his hand, "Ulric? Ulric, wake up." she said.
Rascal went over to her, "Hey, stop it. Let him rest. He just got stitches sewed into his head. Let him rest."
Harley frowned but nodded and put his hand down. She lifted her head, glaring at me before she came over and pushed one of her fingers into my chest, "I heard this was your fault, you freak." she coldly said, making me narrow my eyes on her and my lips pressed together tightly. I breathed out heavily from my nose but she didn't get scared. "I heard you pushed him and that's how he hit his head. After he helped you out so many times."
Rascal grabbed Harley arm, "Hey, stop it."
I stepped towards her where our noses almost touched, "I didn't push him, he tripped."
"Why don't you just go back to where you came from?" she asked, looking at me like I was something hideous. "No one wants you in the pack."
Not controlling my anger, I reached up and grabbed her hair. I pressed her chest front into the wall and she cried out but I ignored her, "You think you are better than me? No! My uncle always told me about pack girls like you. Spoiled little pups who don't have to do anything. You are lazy. You are nothing but a pretty face. You are nothing else—"
"Aeriela." I heard Ulric, making me freeze. "You're loud voice woke me up."
I let go of Harley and quickly went over by his side. I glared down at him coldly and he sat up slowly. I grabbed his head and moved him forward so I could see behind where there was a hairless spot and there was 'stitches' in his head. I breathed out in relief before I let go of him and he sat straight up.
I soften my eyes, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to get hurt."
"It's okay, I know you didn't." he said. He brought his head up behind his head and groaned, "Great, I'm bald."
"Not all the way." Rascal said, coming over and sat down on the bed. "Just where you've been hurt. This is what hats are for."
There was a knock at the door and a woman was at the door. She was a pretty woman with long curly hair pulled up in a ponytail. She had nice olive tan skin and she had features of the people had when I was with Uncle Ramses and we went to Mexico.
She smiled, "Hello, I'm Doctor Cortez. I have came to check up on you Ulric." She walked over towards him and Rascal moved away so she could see Ulric. She checked the board with paper in her hands, "Hmm, you gotten such a nasty cut on your head. You must have such a big headache."
"I won't die, will I Doctor Cortez?" Ulric sarcastically asked.
She smiled, "Call me Anneliese. No, you will be alive for a long time. Don't worry, Ulric."
A lady came in with a metal tray and handed it to Anneliese. A needle was on it with some other stuff. "What's that for?" Ulric asked, looking at the needle.
"We wanna make sure you haven't caught anything when you hit your head on the tree. You never know, always wanna be safe. Don't you agree?" she asked.
She took the cap off and the needle wasn't long. She wrapped something around his arm and a vein appear. Ulric closed his eyes as his face stiffened up and turned his head away. She drew the needle close to his arm and she was about to prick his arm with it when two more people joined the room.
"Ulric," Killian breathed out. Anneliese pulled the needle away quickly as Killian came over. He looked behind Ulric head, looking at his stitches. "Jeez. Well thank God your alright."
"Are you his cousin?" Anneliese asked, smiling at Killian. "We were waiting on you."
"Yeah, I am. Sorry, I wasn't here when this happen and just got back not to long ago. Are you his doctor?" he asked.
She nodded, "Yes. I had just came to check up on Ulric and take blood sample just in case to make sure he hasn't caught anything. I'm Doctor Anneliese Cortez." she said, holding her hand out towards him. He quickly shook it before turning to Ulric. "Of course, if it's alright with you if I may. It's best to make sure there wasn't anything in the dirt or maybe a metal around."
"Oh uh—yes, of course." he said, moving away and Anneliese continued.
