Pt.2

Starts from where the last chapter left off.

Dawnpaw pushed past Coldstare in a rush, desperate to get back to her family.

She found her parents and Snowheart leaning over a body, Dawnpaw's whole being started buzzing. Numb.

She walked over slowly, her eyes glazed over, she noticed the body was breathing.

But it was her brother, he was mostly covered in blood, she could hardly recognize her best friend.

Duskpaw heard voices, the voice didn't sound at all like he'd imagined. No starry, smooth voice that would transfer him into StarClan with ease.

This was an urgent voice, he couldn't tell if that was the ringing in his ears or something else crazy.

Wait, it sounded like 'fake dup', that's not a real thing? It's not, right?

He needed to figure out what was going on, he cracked open his eyelids, only to see a red tint covering his vision.

He immediately started to freak out, his fur started to poke out in all different directions, but it was heavy with a thick liquid.

He blinked rapidly, willing the red away, he gazed with glassy eyes upon his mother, father, and sister.

Everyone let out a collective sigh of relief.

Dawnpaw watched and listened closely as Snowheart examined her brother, blood started to coat the beautiful she-cat's white paws. Her brother's blood.

Snowheart started mumbling incoherently, something about shock, or concussion.

Dawnpaw just zoned out and watched.

Her brother looked so small, surrounded by cats twice his size, colored red with blood.

"Dawnpaw, do you know where the poppyseeds are?"

Dawnpaw just looked at the medicine cat and nodded slightly, she walked into the shaken but still intact medicine cave.

Dawnpaw scanned the small holes in the cave, searching for the pocket filled with poppyseeds.

Dawnpaw's attention was caught by the white silk, cobwebs, she grabbed as much as she could, just in case. She then spotted the poppyseeds, grabbing an extra pawful, she hobbled out of the cave, managing to keep all but a few strings of cobweb on her short trek.

Once the materials were delivered, she was asked to sit with her bloodied brother, to comfort him.

She tried.

            //////////

Duskpaw felt like his head was stuffed with feathers, or moss, or pebbles, he couldn't tell, probably because he felt like this.

His gaze was still too hazy for his liking, he couldn't see a threat.

He couldn't hear one either, his ears were still ringing.

And his nose, helpful as ever, was still not working right.

Snowheart kept telling him to stay awake, it was getting pretty annoying, he wouldn't say that out loud though.

Sorry the chapter is shorter.

Hoped you enjoyed :)
