A bit later you and Daniels had to stop snuggling because Pierson came. You didn't want to imagine what he'd do or say if he'd caught you guys. He'd probably even kick you out of the platoon. The others were clearly happy for you but they were still in shock.

"What are you guys doing?" Pierson asked, sounding more like a statement than a question.

"We're doin' lookout, sir." Daniels answered.

"Mhm. You better be." Pierson gave a dirty look to the group and walked away.

You rolled your eyes. "What's even the point of him doing that?"

Stiles shrugged.

Zussman sighed. "I can't believe it. It finally happened. L/N and Daniels. Hmph." He smiled.

"I know, right! It's about time it happened." Aiello agreed.

"What do you mean?" Daniels asked.

Zussman looked at Daniels, giving him a look of 'Come on, you know what I'm talking about.'

"He means it was so, so obvious that you liked L/N. You were always blushing around her and all nervous. Plus, when Pierson sent someone to go get her, you volunteered." Aiello explained.

Daniels blushed. "I-I— Was it really that... obvious?"

You couldn't help but giggle.

"Hey, L/N, don't act like you're all innocent either. We knew you liked him the second you came to this place." Stiles smiled.

The group, except Daniels, nodded. You widened your eyes at them and blushed. How do they know all this? Damn. I must've made it really obvious.

"But hey. All that got them together. And at the end of the day, that's what matters. They both got what they wanted which was each other." Zussman spoke.

"That was so cheesy." Aiello laughed, a few seconds later causing all of you to laugh as well.

"Hey, it's getting kind of dark out. Should we head inside and prepare for tomorrow?" You asked, looking at the sky.

"Yeah, you're right. We should go before it gets later and the sergeant gets angrier." Stiles agreed.

You and the group headed back to your bunks. You were about to walk in yours then saw Daniels. You decided to stop him and spend a bit more time with him alone while you could.

"Daniels." You smiled.

He looked up at you. "Hey." He smiled softly and walked up to you. You grabbed his hand and went to the back of the bunks, not wanting Pierson or Turner to see if they came out.

"You okay?" He asked, placing his hands on your waist.

"I'm okay. I promise." You giggled. "I just wanted to thank you. I... I never thought that, especially during a war... I would have anyone to motivate me. But now I have you. And I never thought that was going to happen either."

Daniels looked into your eyes and smiled. "Agh. I love you, L/N."

"I love you, too, Daniels." You smiled.

He kissed you again, and you wrapped your arms around his neck. It was so easy to fall into his kisses, either because you loved him so much or because he was just an amazing kisser. Almost a minute later you both stopped. You looked at each other.

You smiled. "Alright. Go get ready. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, tomorrow." He smiled back. "Goodnight, I love you." He whispered as you guys walked back to the bunks.

"I love you, too. Goodnight." You blushed.

You walked into your bunk and took a deep breath, then heard a quick knock at your door. You opened it and there stood Daniels. You were about to speak but before you had the chance, Daniels picked you up.

"Aah! Hah, hey, what're you doin'?" You asked Daniels, giggling.

He looked up at you. "I don't wanna leave you." He frowned.

"I don't want you to leave either. But you have to. You have to get ready for tomorrow. It's gonna be dangerous." You frowned with him.

"That's what I mean. L/N, what if something happens and I end up losing you? I don't want that to happen. I want to be with you. You make me so happy." Daniels explained, putting you down and sitting on your bed.

"Daniels. Listen. That won't happen. I'm going to be okay. We're going to be okay. Don't worry about that. But— If it makes you feel any better... You could spend the night with me." You smiled.

"I'd love that." He smiled back.

"Okay. Hopefully you'll still have time to prepare tomorrow. Now let's get some sleep." You said.

You got prepared to sleep as Daniels was on the bed behind you. The bed wasn't very large, but still big enough to fit the both of you. You closed your eyes and felt two arms wrap around you. You knew it was Daniels and smiled. This is actually really nice. Wow. He's actually— I can't believe it. I'm so happy!

The next day.

You woke up in the same position as you fell asleep. Daniels was still asleep. You turned around, trying not to move too much.

"Hey. Daniels." You whispered.

He moved and gently opened his eyes. "Hey, baby." He smiled.

You smiled and widened your eyes. Woah— He just called me— AAH. "Hey. Good morning!" You greeting happily.

"It's a good feelin' wakin' up to you next to me." He confessed.

You smiled and laid your head on his chest. He started running his hands through you hair.

"We gotta get up. But I don't want to, hehe." You chuckled.

"I know. We do." He groaned. "I mean, we can do it later. Hopefully."

"You're right! We will have time later." You got up from the bed and walked to Daniels' side. "Listen to me, okay? Nothing bad is going to happen, Daniels. Nothing is going to happen to me, or you, or our buddies. I promise. I'm not going to let it because I care about you too much to make you go though that."

"You... You're right. Thank you, L/N. Alright then." He sighed. "Let's go. I gotta get ready." He hugged you. "I love you."

You hugged back. "I love you, too." He felt so warm.

You and Daniels walked out and saw Stiles, Aiello, and Zussman waiting outside of their bunks, which were along the same hallway as yours.

"They live!" Stiles joked.

"Yeah! I wanted to see L/N for a bit longer so I ended up spending the night with her, heh." Daniels explained.

"Understood. You gotta get ready though, you're one of the only people not ready." Aiello mentioned.

Daniels nodded and headed into his bunk to prepare. You had a practically permanent smile on your face. The boys looked at you.

"Aw, would you look at that. Don't they both seem so happy with each other?" Aiello smiled.

"Mhmm. Almost makes me want a girl to love and appreciate." Stiles joked.

Everyone nodded and you giggled.

"You'll get one soon, Stiles, don't worry. All of you will." You assured.

They all smiled. Stiles looked as his watch as gasped.

"It's 03:57, we're leaving soon. Let's get ready to meet up." He hurried back to his room, as did all the others.

You knocked on Daniels' door then peeked in. "Hey. It's time to go, you ready?"

"Ready. Let's do this." Daniels smiled.
