Every Anime Has a Beach Episode
"What was the name of that beach you wanted to go to, (Y/N)?"
Your (e/c) eyes turned up from your book to look at Soap across the room. "I was thinking Porthcurno. I saw it on Poldark and have been itching to go ever since," you said.
He chuckled. "You always were a romantic," He mused. "Alright, I've got a beach house rented for this weekend; it's a big place so we could have separate sides of the house to ourselves if we want."
"Only if you want, I don't care either way."
Price popped his head in through the open door of the barracks. "Did I hear something about a beach house?"
You and Soap both exchanged a glance and looked back at the Captain. "Is that alright?" you asked.
"Oh, of course," he replied. "I just heard the idea and thought it would be a great idea for some team bonding."
Soap looked unimpressed but you liked the idea of having everyone together. It was just for fun, wasn't it? "Let's do it!" you said. "There are plenty of rooms for everyone, aren't there?"
Soap looked flustered. "Well, yeah, but I mean-"
"Got a problem, Soap?" asked Price.
He sighed, hanging his head. "I was hoping this would be a vacation..."
The Captain smiled. "It still is."
The crash of the azure waves on the warm sand made your heart pound a little faster. The ocean sounded so powerful; that out let you play in its shallows and explore its depths was beyond thrilling.
Ghost, however, didn't take a moment to drink in its complexity before charging headlong into a massive, curling wave, disappearing in a burst of white sea foam. His head broke the surface again with a laugh. "Ah, haven't been swimming in water this warm in ages!" he said, laying his head back to float on the crest of the next wave.
"Beats the Bering Strait, doesn't it?" you replied. You laid on a towel on the sand, relishing the sunshine on your skin. You could hear more footsteps on the ground, disappearing in laughter and a crash of waves. The atmosphere simply felt happy, and you couldn't help the smile on your face.
A shadow fell over you and you sat up, turning around to see Price behind you, his shirt and a towel thrown over his shoulder. You were glad you were wearing shades because he would have seen your eyes widening at the sight of his muscular frame. "You're standing in my sunshine, Price," you teased, finally finding the words to speak.
He looked down at you, tossing the towel and shirt to the sand beside you, and smiled. "Oh yeah?" You reeled back and he scooped you up in his arms. "We'll come here, there more sun this way."
You frantically pried yourself against his broad chest. "No... No, Price! Wait!" He waded into the surf and swung you into a wave. You were dizzied by the rolling of the water, but you came up again with a gasp and swept his knee, taking him down beside you.
"Hey now!" he said, coming up to the surface.
You smiled devilishly. "You threw me, I get to get you back!"
"Is that so?" His hand groped around under the water before suddenly throwing something at you.
It was squishy and hit you directly in the face. You scrambled to get it off and saw that it was a fist full of seaweed. He laughed at you and you threw it back, missing him completely. "Nasty!" you whined.
He treaded closer to you and put an arm around your shoulders to give you a side hug. You hoped her wouldn't notice your heartbeat getting faster. "Alright," he said. "I'm sorry."
You poured at him playfully. "I'm not sure if I forgive you yet... you'll have to convince me."
Price smirked down at you. "Oh, yeah? And how might I do that?"
"(Y/N)," he sighed later. "I love the idea bonfire, but I wasn't expecting to sing acapella with an ukelele in front of everyone to gain your forgiveness..."
You grinned devilishly. "Those are my conditions," you said.
He grumbled to himself and strummed the instrument quietly, sour notes cutting the team's ears. Price positioned his hand on the neck and drew a pleasant chord from the strings, humming to himself. Though he knew it was cliche, he decided to sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, which everyone else joined in to sing as well, making him feel less self-conscious.
The only person better at singing than him was Roach, but you hardly seemed to notice. Your eyes were focused on John, and you could feel your heart skipping. Did he even know how charming you found him? Did he have any idea how exciting he was to you?
And he thought the same about you, noticing you watching him intently. His chest felt warm and his mind felt pleasantly fuzzy thinking about you, like he'd had a few drinks on a lazy weekend.
He strummed a wrong note and choked, but the others kept singing. Price finally stopped and they all laughed. "C'mon, Price, you were doin' so well!" cheered Soap.
Price shook his head with a chuckle. "I guess I lost my train of thought," he admitted. "Let's see where I left off..."
It was late and everyone was turning in for the night. You were walking down the hall to your room when you heard footsteps behind you. Price was there and you started. "Oh! What are you doing here?" you asked softly.
"Just wanted to say goodnight," he said. He looked down and let the fabric of your sundress between his fingers. "I've never seen you in a dress before, it looks nice on you."
You smiled at the floor. "It's very confortable," you replied. "If nothing else, it's practical..."
John's hand glided along your jaw and when you looked up, his blue eyes were gazing deeply into yours. You didn't wait for him to pull you in and pressed your mouth against his. He hummed contentedly and wrapped you in his arms, one of his hands gently grabbing locks of your soft hair. He could still smell the sea salt and fresh air on your skin.
You grasped at his muscular back and shoulders, feeling his ribs expanding underneath in deep, excited breaths. He shivered at the feeling of your nails grazing the definitions in his arms and you smiled.
He pulled away for a breath and rested his forehead against yours. "You're intoxicating, you know that?" he whispered.
You giggled and kissed his nose. "That was nothing," you purred. "I Can show you more if you follow me..?"
A spark of intrigue joined in his eyes and he eagerly followed you into the room with another kiss, closing the door behind you.
BlissfulTien thank you for the request!
