(F.) Yin Shiratori x F. Reader

* Highly requested, Yin/(Y/n) Shiratori is the main character from my Insatiable series, and this one-shot contains spoilers for her character and motivations discovered in Prisoner's Conviction starting (but not ending) in Chapter 52. Read at your own discretion.

Also, whenever (Y/n) is referred to, it is talking about the female reader, not Ms. Shiratori.*

. . .

Before they had come, Yoeda High School was completely normal. It was just like any other public school with its ups and downs as well as its fair share of drama. But (Y/n) had never seen so much uproar over three people, and yet, the moment they showed their faces, the school's atmosphere changed indefinitely. And for the first month, she observed the transfer students with great intrigue, her boring life almost craving the star-struck feeling of seeing such inhuman entities.

Akari Otsu, a foreigner and the son of an extremely famous photographer with a status as the childhood playmate to the fourth prince of Vethela, was one such inhuman figure. People likened him to lots of animals, including a monkey, considering the way he would constantly jump fences and climb up the side of the building. (The principal very much despised him, particularly because of all the trouble he caused). However, the most common thing he was called was an elf, particularly because of his bright hair and his very odd connection with nature.

To (Y/n), however, the crazy wild child seemed more aligned with a werewolf. Though it was hard to admit, she had been stalking the three out of sheer curiosity. Quite a few times, especially during the full moon, she would see him running across the tops of houses and acting otherwise unstable. And though she hadn't seen him transform into some kind of hideous cursed beast, it was still on the table. Then again, with the photography club turning into his own personal fan club, it was unlikely one of them hadn't snapped a picture of that.

Then there was Narahashi Shiko, the youngest son of a famous local politician. People loved him, and the (h/c) haired girl couldn't tell why. Maybe it was because he was athletic and intelligent beyond his peers, or maybe it was because he was undeniably charming. He was often called a vampire by his admirers - of which, there were many. Mostly girls fawned over him, but he had a good share of male admirers as well for his half-sportsman-like and half-gentleman-like personality.

To (Y/n), though, he seemed off. He didn't ever really appear like he was genuinely happy to be surrounded by people that liked him. The vampire title made sense to her, considering he always had a clouded look in his eyes, whether it was actually malicious or not. Plus, with his duty as the head of the disciplinary committee, there were more than a few times when he was clearly targeting someone. Most of the time, it was Akari, the two mixing about as well as oil and water. It more or less affirmed the girl's hunch that the blonde was a werewolf against the bluenette's vampire-like self.

Then there was Yin Shiratori. There were a lot of rumors about her, especially since the other two flocked to her like moths to a flame. It wasn't just them either. She didn't even have to open her mouth and the entire student body became susceptible to her unspoken charm. Her beauty was ethereal, but it was more than that. She was beyond smart, able to ace any test with a perfect score, and always showed such kindness to other students. It was what earned her the title of "angel".

Rumors circulated about her, especially since she had transferred in with two incredibly popular males and appeared intimately close with them. Some people said she was the hidden princess of Vethela in order to explain how she knew Akari Otsu. Others claimed she was the daughter of a wealthy investor. But, obviously, most people just liked to think of her as an angel, enough for more than half of the student body to write her in for the position of student council president. She hadn't even been there a month.

Her fan club was under the radar. When she first showed up, the amount of admiration for her was so high that an informal club was created in her name. The school obviously wouldn't approve of such a club, but they always met after school in the cafeteria to talk about her. Rumors spread like wildfire that way. It didn't really matter what gender they were. The silvery pink-haired girl transcended the bounds of romantic interest, and the (h/c) haired girl was no exception.

She really did believe wholeheartedly that Yin Shiratori was some kind of angel. The idea was only encouraged once she began avidly stalking the three of them. Strange things happened wherever she went, and (Y/n) swore, at more than one point in time, she gave other people some kind of energy. If the angel ran into someone, they would immediately feel invigorated. Some wounds were cured, too, including a few scrapes the (h/c) haired girl had received trying to avoid Narahashi Shiko's gaze.

Even though the younger girl intended to stalk the three of them, it soon became heavily focused on the female. With every step the angel took, (Y/n) sucked in her breath, drawn in by her natural elegance. She understood why she was constantly surrounded by such beautiful people. It wouldn't make any sense otherwise. Either way, the younger girl was able to learn so many things about her the more she skipped class and dedicated her entire being to watching Yin Shiratori.

That day, she had followed her from school to a cafeteria. It was locally run by a very nice woman but the reason the silvery pink-haired girl was there was probably because Narahashi worked part-time there. (Y/n) had learned the two were childhood friends, but it was obvious they weren't just "best friends". A certain chemistry lingered between them, a push-and-pull kind of attraction. Though, the younger girl couldn't deny that she got a little giddy whenever Yin pushed him away.

"Comfy," the trust-fund blonde giggled, possessively holding onto the angel's arm and snuggling against her.

A spark of jealousy made the (h/c) haired girl kick at the wall. However, doing so immediately placed attention on her from the bluenette. He eyed her carefully with an indescribable gaze before returning to place hot chocolate on the table. Of course, since he had only put one down in front of his "best friend", the blonde threw a fit, hurling childish insults at the part-timer. That gave the younger girl a chance to sneak a bit closer to her angel, careful to duck her head down as she sat down at the booth behind them.

"You didn't order," the bluenette said simply, placing a hand on his hip.

"But you know what I want! It's always the same thing!"

The younger girl zoned out as the two began their common argument. Akari hated Narahashi's guts and the bluenette didn't love him. All the while, Yin would remain silent, quietly observing them as always. Her calm nature was something that the (h/c) haired girl couldn't get enough of. She was so mature, even when faced with the constant provocation of others. Squealing, the younger girl began to scribble the image of the angel down on her notepad for the umpteenth time. Occasionally, she would use the pages to write notes about her or those around her, but she preferred drawing the situations. It was just more fun.

As she immersed herself in her drawing of the loud-mouthed blonde and the irritated head of the disciplinary committee, she suddenly paused. A familiar face began to drag his feet into the cafe. Wordlessly, the male moved to the same spot he always sat at. For a while, his head hung there limp, his eyes unblinking. Then, with a rigid movement, he tilted his head, eyes staring wide at the three (Y/n) was following. He was like a zombie, but unless you were really looking for him, it was hard to tell he was even there, the male constantly blending into the background.

Struggling to recall his name, the younger girl sighed. She had seen him constantly lingering around, eyes fixated on one individual in particular. It seemed he was even more obsessed than (Y/n) was, and considering his inability to respond to others, it was insanely creepy. Of course, the younger girl was stalking her angel, but what the platinum-haired, beige-eyed male was doing was much more unsettling.

Even when a waiter came up to him, asking for his order, he didn't respond. Or, maybe he couldn't. She watched as the male opened his mouth, but it just hung there. He didn't close it, didn't move his tongue, didn't even try to speak. His eyes continued to peer at the individual behind the (h/c) haired girl without fail. Eventually, the waiter left, probably just as creeped out as she was, but he kept staring, eyes always trailing to Narahashi.

Trying to forget the individual (Shu, maybe it was?), the younger girl kept drawing, listening to the conversation between the three. She took extra time on drawing Yin, trying to make her as beautiful as possible. Obviously, she knew from experience she could never emulate her ethereal appearance, but she did her best, focusing extra hard. She was just waiting for her angel to open her mouth, squealing at the thought of hearing what was on her mind. It was probably something beyond her own comprehension.

"You look stupid in that thing," Akari commented, directing his comment to the smock his nemesis wore.

"Well, it is a uniform. I don't particularly get a say in it."

"It must be hard. You know, to not get an allowance."

"At least I know how to take care of myself."

"What's that supposed to mean?! Are you trying to say I can't cook?! I can cook! I can cook and clean and do all sorts of things! All you're doing is bringing a coffee from point A to point b!"

"Well, he looks good in the apron," Yin finally pitched in, given a grateful smile from the bluenette and a look of shock from the blonde.

"I-I'd look good in one! Better than him!"

"Yeah, but not that one. I'm trying to figure out whether a maid outfit or just an apron would look better on you."

Akari brightened up, very much pleased by her thoughtfulness. In his eagerness to prove he would be better eye candy in an apron, the blonde began to undress. He didn't get his second button off of his shirt before the silvery pink-haired girl stopped him. The blonde probably planned on stealing Narahashi's apron and wearing it nude as she suggested, but that would have gotten him arrested.

Yeah, (Y/n) knew something about her angel not a lot of other people did. She had a really filthy mind. Of course, it wasn't a deal breaker at all. The older girl just knew what she wanted, something that was admirable. The (h/c) haired girl's chest welled up in jealousy. She would have loved to be told something like that. She could just imagine her angel presenting her with an outfit like that. What a compliment!

The younger girl kept watching the three interact before Yin finished up her studying and departed. Akari trailed behind her as he always did, (Y/n) gritting her teeth. Truth be told, she thought of the blonde poorly. From what she had found, he was also a stalker, one that had followed her angel around for years, only just recently gathering the courage to meet her face to face. In her eyes, the younger girl believed she would be a much better companion than Akari ever would. She was just looking for the chance to replace him.

"Akari," the silvery pink-haired girl sighed, pausing in place during their walk back to the house, "Will you go run some errands? I think we're out of whipped cream."

"Sure, just let me walk you back and I can do whatever you want, goddess!"

"No, I'll be fine."

"Mm? You said - "

"What I said was that I like helpful boys. And you are helpful, aren't you?"

"Yeah, of course! I-I'll run to the store then! Just...stay safe."

The girl nodded slowly, watching for a moment as the blonde rushed off, the boy waving eagerly to her. Once he was out of sight, she began walking rapidly towards an unknown location, the (h/c) haired girl struggling to keep up with her. Of course, she put her all into it, able to keep an eye on her, but it took a lot out of her. Physical exertion was definitely not her thing, so when her angel finally stopped in the middle of a familiar alleyway, she panted heavily.

She thought she had done a great job of keeping her loud breathing quiet, but it seems that was not the case, because she soon had a familiar piece of scrap metal pressed to her throat. Finally, at last, she was face to face with the Yin Shiratori, the single-handedly most stunning person to ever grace the earth. With a glimmer in her eye, the girl began to grab at the weapon gently, inspecting it with immense glee.

"So this is it! Of course I knew how you killed your victims, but I haven't gotten a chance to touch this! Even if I did go into your room every now and again, I could never find it! Where do you keep it?!"

Yin maintained her calm composure, seemingly unfazed by the girls' words. It was like she already knew, which wasn't overreaching at all. She was always very aware of her surroundings. The (h/c) haired girl's angel probably realized it was her trailing her from the very first moment. Really, it was like seeing a legend in action, and despite the threat the girl made to her life, she couldn't help but feel all giddy inside.

"But don't kill me, okay? I know everything about you and you probably should kill me since, for all you know, I'll go to the police and - No, but, really, I just want to watch you! You're like an angel of death! Say, how did you know I was following you?!"

The silvery-pink-haired girl gave an odd look, but masked it quickly, as she was prone to doing. She was such a master with her emotions, (Y/n) thought. After all, even if she extremely despised someone, because she was able to act amiably with them no matter what, no one ever suspected her as their killer. That was what made her so prolific in her work. She could move on from target to target at the drop of a hat; a real professional!

Quickly, the (h/c) haired girl presented her angel with her sketchbook, showing her all of the different ways she had captured her image. From her cute, shy side to her bold way of killing, she had captured it all the way she saw it. For a moment, Yin was speechless, moving from page to page with great surprise. (Y/n) felt her heart beating quickly, far too quickly. She almost passed out from sheer joy.

"I'm a big fan of yours, Miss Shiratori!"

Suddenly, Yin's eyes glossed over as she recalled the past. That child had said the same thing with such a bright smile, coated in blood and with a knife in hand. "I'm a big fan, beloved! Won't you teach me more...?" Those words echoed in her mind, and, immediately, she softened while looking at the (h/c) haired girl in front of her. A genuine smile made its way on her lips and she elegantly held out her hand, (Y/n) quick to place a kiss on it before rubbing her cheek over it with absolute joy.

"I just love you so much!" the girl enthused, rocking back and forth on her heels.

"Do you?"

"Of course! I'd do anything if it meant that you'd look at me! I promise I'd be much better than that Otsu kid! He's such a brat, always making you - "

The girl trailed off at the smirk on the older girl's lips. With a shiver, she swallowed heavily, standing up straight as if possessed by the angel's beauty. She froze as she was suddenly pulled in close, the silvery-pink-haired girl placing her arms around her before coming dangerously close to her face. Become embarrassed and yet intrigued, the younger girl let a squeak escape her mouth, blushing brightly at the forwardness.

"Then kill him."

(Y/n) paused. She had always been under the impression that the older girl held the blonde close to her heart. And though she was right, she didn't understand the request. Asking her to repeat it once more, she received the same answer. "Kill Akari Otsu and you can take his place," was what she said, not a trace of sincerity in her words. And yet, still, the (h/c) haired girl nodded vigorously, beaming from ear to ear.

"D-Don't forget your promise!" she giggled, pressing a quaint kiss to her angel's lips before running off to do the task she was given.

Yin watched as the girl ran off, touching her lips mindlessly while bouncing the sketchbook playfully. It wasn't a moment after (Y/n) was out of sight did the older girl feel a hand on her neck, the girl not even needing to look up to see it was someone she held dear. He caressed her neck and placed his arm over her hips, pulling her to his chest. The cute (h/c) haired girl must have made him jealous, the male taking it upon himself to cleanse her mouth for her. Sighing deeply, he pressed himself to her, only parting an inch to ask a favor.

"Open."

She indulged him, letting the male slip his tongue in to properly clean her from another's touch. His envy was not something to be taken lightly, every action he ever made filled with his utter desire to completely possess her. Even while he kissed her slowly and thoroughly, he slipped his hand past her hips to grab at the sketchbook. That was when she quickly bit down on his tongue, the male stumbling back in pain as it started bleeding.

"It's mine," she said simply, the male's brow twitching noticeably at the ironic warning.

Her mask of coldness washed away as she turned to see his familiar face, the girl quick to push him to his knees. He obeyed though he could have easily resisted. The silvery-pink-haired girl then dug her fingers into his mouth to pull out his bleeding tongue, clicking disappointingly at him. He sighed as she asked if she had hurt him badly, ultimately dismissing the thought in favor of something more concerning for him.

"You didn't kill her."

"No, I didn't. She was...cute."

"...Remind you of someone?"

The girl smirked, remembering her favorite kill. Though there were many, it was that platinum-haired boy that she had taken the most pleasure in killing. And even after he had died at her hands, he remained with her always. She just saw the same beginnings in the (h/c) haired girl that she did in him. Perhaps it was because of nostalgia that she was acting unpredictably, or perhaps she wanted to see if she could do any better despite her predictions. After all, no matter what, Yin would only love the strong.

"So you sent her after that brat? He'll kill her. There was no point in letting her live when - "

"I'll decide that," she affirmed, squeezing the male's tongue painfully despite knowing it would never elicit a reaction from him, "I just liked her is all."

"...Right."

The two waited in silence, waiting and waiting for the result. And when the winner had been decided, the blonde returning to where Yin had left him coated in blood, she gave a bittersweet chuckle. Of course Akari would come out the victor. She walked back to him, surprising him greatly. He beamed and swooned, fawning over the angel-like girl, and like always, she smiled and praised him for his loyalty.

In the end, the only thing that Yin had left of the girl was the sketchbook she had left in her possession. She gazed through it for a few days, pondering what could have been if she were perhaps a bit smarter or a bit stronger. But it didn't matter. On the seventh day after her death, the silvery-pink-haired girl threw the book into the fire and watched it burn, piece by piece. The angel smiled as it provided warmth, only to let out a small sigh. It was a shame. She was cute, but...

"You must not have been strong enough."
