|Felix's POV|

"See Bran" holding my nephew in my arms, Bran is one of the twins Fallon's and Liam's had. Before the apocalypse, Fallon found out she was pregnant with the twins. Brandon aka Bran and Eleanor aka Ellie. We give them formula since none of the females produce breast milk. Demetri and Violet adopted them "your Aunt Dani, she likes making decisions without informing me. Expect that to happen if you are into women in the end, expect them to hide or evade the truth"

"And you" Demetri comes over taking Bran from me "need to talk to Dani...don't be mad at her. We didn't know the trip was going to be as long as it was"

"You could have" crossing my arms "ran back and informed me so I could have joined"

"What good would that have done?" He asks me "you would have worried yourself to no end, don't say you wouldn't have because you would have. Go talk to her"

"Where is she?" I ask

"She's visiting the horses" he tells me, right. The horses, one of breeds of animals that we've kept. One of the good things about Carrington Estate is how large it is, we've got over about twenty horses and eight foals.

Leaving the room rushing to the stables, I find Dani with Amy one of the horse races and experts. Amy came to stay with us because she and Dani knew each other from the time Calanthe had her coven stay in Heartland, Canada.

Amy came with her grandfather Jack, her daughters:  Lyndly age five and Tanya age three months, also her niece Georgie. The others in her family weren't so lucky because they got caught with the virus and ended up needing to be killed after coming back. Amy and her family help take care of the horses, we are very grateful to them.

Dani and Amy look my way when I enter "Hey" Dani smiles "how's the twins?"

"Good" nodding my head "Amy? Could I talk to Dani for a moment?" She nods her head looking between us before leaving.

Dani walks over "What's wrong?"

"I was worried sick, your still part human and we don't know what this virus could do to you" taking her hand "when you didn't come home right away, I felt like my world stop. Not in the good way"

She bites her lip "I'm sorry I made you feel this way...I knew I was safe with Demetri but" nodding her head "if you want to stay by my side when we go out on runs, I'm okay with that. I don't mean to make you worry or anything"

"Your okay with me tagging along?" I ask

She nods her head "As long as it calms you down and makes you feel much better, than yeah"

"Good" pulling her into my arms "after a thousand years I just got you, I'm not losing you now because of some stupid virus" I know if I didn't meet her I'd be one of the many vampires who killed themself.

Yeah there aren't many cold ones left because once this apocalypse hit, it was like something went off in the vampire's brain and they were like "No, I'm not living another thousand years or however many more to watch humans fuck things up like they always do"

We hear a commotion and leave to see this unknown woman with short brown hair "Are any of you" she asks from atop her horse "Lori Grimes?"

"No" shaking our heads "what's going on?"

"Her son has been shot" our eyes widen "her husband Rick is with my father but your friend Shane and my friend Otis need help in getting some medical supplies and to ask a Dani or Demetri"

"I'll to" promising my mate "you go get Lori, where is Rick?"

"My farm" she tells me the address "just come with" it'll take took long to saddle the horse right now given how on edge she is.

"Go find Lori" I order Dani and Amy who is here worried "Amy, get one of the horses saddled for Dani. She and this"

"Maggie" she answers

Nodding my head "They will bring Lori to where Carl is, I'll go" leaving them, I know Dani and she'll help in the more dangerous situation. No, I'll handle the dangerous situation right now.

Rick and Shane were taking Carl out hunting, plus that girl Sophia last night took one of the horses since she wanted to ride one. She's never ridden a horse before so we don't know what was going through her mind. So Rick and Shane went out to find her, Carol wanted us all to go looking and Calanthe said only Rick and Shane since we all needed to stay back and look around the perimeter to make sure it was secure.

It takes me mere minutes to arrive to the farm, the humans gasp looking my way when I enter "Holy shit" Shane shakes his head looking at me wagging us finger "you need a bell"

"What happened?" I ask

"I accidentally" this big obese sized human with warm beige skin, greying hair and brown eyes explains "shot him. I meant to only shoot the deer but the bullet went through the deer and into the boy" going over to the boy, I do an initial exam checking the site and if his abdomen is tender. After many years you get bored. I became a surgeon in all the surgical fields, why? Because I got bored and was curious.

"I'm a trained surgeon" looking over to Rick who looks shocked "I need to perform surgery" looking to the unknown old man with the guy who shot the kid "do you have any surgical supplies?"

Shaking their heads no "No, but the high school might" He tells me

Standing up "Where's the high school, I'll go and get what is needed"

"I'll come with" Shane volunteers along with the guy who shot the kid.

"No" shaking my head no "I know what to get and what the stuff looks like, do either of you?"

"I use to volunteer as an EMT" the big guy nods his head "I know what to look for"

"You stay" I order "the walkers won't be as likely to attack me" looking at Rick who looks like he's lost a lot of blood "Dani is bringing O Neg" knowing her, she'll be bringing blood "don't worry" placing my hand on his shoulder "I know what to do"

"Please" he begs "save my son"

It takes about three minutes to get to the high school. Looking around this place I see that it has walkers everywhere, wow...then again why should I be shocked? Shaking my head, I make a run for it to the one vehicle that should have what I need. The walkers stay as far away from me, Demetri and any cold one vampire because we smell like nothing to them.

After I'm done raiding, I hear something that gets my attention. Finding the source of this crying inside of the school, I find a walker trying to get into a closet. The crying is coming from in there.

Decapitating the walker, I make sure not to get any blood on me or the medical supplies. Opening the closet, I find three little children. A little boy about six, a little girl about three and the boy is holding a baby. They all share similar facial features but only the little girl has red hair while the boy and baby have red hair.

I notice they don't have anymore food and their stomachs are rumbling "Don't hurt us" the boy pleads "please"

"What are your names?" I ask

"I'm Jamie" he introduces himself and his siblings "this is my sister Julia and our sister's baby Katherine" I notice that the baby looks to be a newborn, looking around there's a bunch of blood on the desk. Looking back to them "do you have any food?"

"Come with me" picking the children up after adjusting the equipment, the boy holds onto his niece. Running out of the school through one of the windows, I hold the children close.

Making it back to the farm, Rick and Lori look my way along with Dani "Felix?" Dani asks "where did those children come from?"

"Found them in a closet" looking to the old man along with that Maggie "their hungry, the baby needs formula"

"We've got something" the old man nods his head "this way children" he motions for them to follow him, I nod my head when they look my way.

Looking to Rick and Lori "Is Carl still asleep?"

Nodding their heads "Good" going up to the room, I get everything ready. His parents come in "trust me, neither of you want to be here"

Dani appears "Felix knows what is he doing" she motions to the blood bags on a chair "for Carl"

When I leave the room, Rick and Lori look my way along everyone else minus Dani  "Your son will make it" they sigh relieved "you can be by his side"

"Thank you" Lori hugs me then Rick, once their gone Dani comes in with the baby smiling at me.

"What?" I ask

She shrugs her shoulders "Just thinking" about what? She knows I'm not a mind reader "Why don't we adopt these kids? I mean they need a family"

"Really?" Looking over to the two kids who are asleep on the couch "I didn't think you'd be up for it right now, given how being a parent is a huge responsibility and you wanted to wait a hundred years"

"Changed my mind" she shrugs her shoulders "so?"

"Alright" nodding my head "I'm up for it as long as you are"

"I am"
