The Next Day

Rahul decided to make an announcement about his wedding at the office. During lunch hours, he had noticed that many of his colleagues were out, so he planned to return during regular working hours. He walked into the main office, cleared his throat, and drew everyone's attention. "Aheem, aheem," Rahul said, his voice commanding attention. "Please say honestly, who here has a crush on me?" he continued. "Be honest! I'm not going to scold you or resign you or anything... just raise your hands."

To Rahul's surprise, 15-16 girls raised their hands. He was taken aback by the number of admirers and thought of Suhani's words: every girl must be having a crush on you, but I am very lucky that I got you. He smiled to himself and then addressed the room. "You know, someone told me a few days ago that every girl must be having a crush on me, but I'm very lucky that I got Suhani. If one of you had said it before, I might have been with you. But I'm sorry to break your hearts, girls, as I've found someone for myself. We're having an arranged marriage." The room erupted in cheers. An employee asked, "What's her good name, sir?" mnRahul replied with a smile, "Ms. Suhani Sharma... she's a doctor." "Congratulations, sir!" the employees cheered.Rahul added, "I'm throwing a party tonight. You're all invited, and yes, Suhani will be present too. Again, everyone is invited! See you guys at 9." He returned to his cabin, feeling a deep blush spread across his face as he realized he was really getting married. (Yes, our chocolate boy was feeling quite shy.)

He ran his fingers through his hair and texted Suhani:

Idk...tell me the timing!

Yeaa, I am free, but idk about emergency cases...

That's totally fine babe.

Suhani
But whyy you are asking this?

Actually I just came back in cabin after announcing that I'm getting married. So I planned to throw a party tonight!

TIME SKIP AT 9!

The house was bustling with activity as guests arrived, including some of Rahul's colleagues. The evening was set for a lively celebration, but Rahul was clearly waiting for someone special. As the door opened and Suhani walked in, Rahul's jaw dropped, as usual. But it wasn't really his fault—Suhani was so stunningly gorgeous that anyone would be left in awe. She walked in gracefully, her presence lighting up the room. Rahul couldn't take his eyes off her, clearly mesmerized by her beauty.

Suhani walked up to him and raised an eyebrow playfully. Rahul's jaw dropped as he said, "Ek din aap yun humko mil jaayenge, phool hi phool raahon mei khil jaayenge maine socha naa tha..." Suhani blushed, her laughter light and contagious. "Why are you laughing? I spoke the truth!" Rahul said. Suhani teased, "Who said you're lying, babe?" "Now stop being so beautiful!" Rahul added. Suhani replied, "I can't help it, Mr. Raichand. By the way, where are Mum and Dad? Vihaan and Vani? Chachu and Chachi?" "Breathe, honey, breathe!" Rahul said. "They're getting ready." "I don't care... I'm going to Vani's room!" Suhani declared. "Babe, please don't go!" Rahul pleaded. "The guests haven't arrived yet! I'll get bored... let me go!" Suhani insisted. Vihaan appeared, adjusting his blazer as he came downstairs. "Bhabhi, come on, you don't need to go anywhere." Suhani smiled and gave him a hug. "Vihaan, you're looking so handsome."

"You're looking gorgeous too, Bhabhi. Where's Uncle, Aunty, and Ami?" Vihaan asked.Suhani explained, "Actually, Krish Bhai is arriving tonight. They're at the airport to pick him up. They'll join us after 10." Darshil arrived just then. Suhani touched his feet and greeted him. "Namaste, Chacha." Darshil grinned. "Ah, match made in heaven." "Chachu, c'mon, don't tease us," Rahul said. Darshil laughed, "Joru ka gulaam... abhi se." Piyush chimed in, "Shut up, Darshil... he just doesn't want us to disturb them!" Darshil winked. "Oh yeah, Vihaan, don't disturb them. Go irritate Vani." Vihaan nodded and went off. With everyone else occupied, Rahul and Suhani found a quiet corner. Suhani asked, "What are you looking at?"Rahul gazed at her fondly. "My ardhangini." Suhani grinned. "You're wrong... soon-to-become-ardhangini." "Ek hi baat hai," Rahul replied. Suhani teased, "Then you and the monkey are the same animal, aren't you?" Rahul laughed, "Then you're marrying an animal named monkey, but people call him Rahul with love... and I'll be even happier if you become my bandariyaa."Suhani giggled, "Bade mazaki hoo tussi, bade mazaki hoo." "Ye joke tha?" Rahul asked. "Tha to," Suhani replied. "I don't like jokes," Rahul said. "I don't like you," Suhani shot back. "Oh really?" Rahul asked, feigning surprise. "Hannn," Suhani confirmed with a smile.

Rahul pulled her closer through her waist...

"You really don't like me?" Rahul asked, pulling Suhani closer. "No," Suhani replied, her voice wavering slightly. "Still?" Rahul questioned, tightened the grip around her waist "N-...no," Suhani stammered, feeling her resolve weaken. Rahul pulled her even closer, their lips just an inch apart. "You don't like me?" he whispered, his breath warm against her skin. "N-..." Suhani began, but before she could finish, Rahul leaned in and gave her a soft peck on the lips. The sudden kiss left her breathless, her heart racing as she longed for more, but she forced herself to stay composed. "Tell me?" Rahul asked, his eyes searching hers."No," Suhani said, pushing him away playfully, and started to walk towards the kitchen.

Rahul watched her go, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. He touched his thumb to his lips, noticing the faint red mark from Suhani's lipstick. He rubbed it off, still smiling to himself.In the kitchen, Suhani gulped down three glasses of water, trying to steady her nerves. Her mind was racing, not because of the kiss, but because her past had suddenly collided with her present. She realized she couldn't keep her past hidden from Rahul any longer; he deserved to know.

After half an hour, Suhani emerged from the kitchen. The house was now full of guests, and the party was about to start. Suhani walked over to Rahul, intertwining her fingers with his. They exchanged a meaningful glance, both aware of the unspoken thoughts between them.The party kicked off with lively music, food, and games. People were dancing and enjoying themselves when suddenly, the lights went out. A spotlight illuminated the couple, signaling the start of a couple's dance.
