Chapter 20 : Reunited
The Next Day
De'Mario's POV:
Yesterday was a good ass day, I must say. Do I feel bad for setting up a married Man? No, because he let me do it. They had a good time and surprisingly wasnt nervous to talk to each other. It was like they were already together. Trey kept singing n shit. Had her laughing and smiling the whole time. Im happy to see Sandra like that, shes done so much good to me and Shawny that i wanted her to atleast find someone who would do that good to her. Trey also needs him a woman who respects him.
I'm done playing match maker for now, though. Back to my life, I heard some shit popped off. RJ gave me a call earlier talking about he was sorry about what happened at the club but there was some shit said that I need to hear about. Today we gone chill at the mall while he tell me what's up. I dropped Shawny off at her parent's house cause he said she it's something serious. I hope it's too serious cause I really don't need any drama in my life right now. It's irrelevant to my life.
Right now, we're at the food court eating. He ordered some nachos and Im eating some barbeque chicken. Mall food is nasty asf, but I can't even purp on this chicken. This chicken good as life. Got me licking my fingers and shit. I gotta whole wash my hands when Im done cause I know my shit ain't what's up. RJ explaining everything that happened from the time I left to call Shawny to the time Fitz took me home. If I tell that this is some crazy shit, this is some crazy shit. He said no one speaks of that night anymore which I think is wrong.
Regardless If the shit that was said that night should have been said or not, you have no choice but to bring that shit to light. Jaee have some explaining to do because you don't just go around fucking you niggas best friend and have the nigga raising his friends baby. That's fucked up. If it was me, I would've punched that bitch in her fucking teeth. Won't be able to talk the shit she do now. She shouldn't be talking cause the bitch got skeletons walking around this bitch like it's normal and think nobody can see them.
They was talking that big boy shit about me when I was on stage too. Like I said, they should be carefully. I think they truthfully forgot that they work for me. If I wanted, I would have them dealt with on spot. I suggest they rethink the shit they thought they were doing. Rico, Devin, and Eric all have one last button to push and Im clapping niggas in they sleep. Rico can get it while he awake since he can't see that the shit we playing ain't a game. I'll murk his whole fucking family and send him pictures.
RJ: "D, they got a video." He blurted out. He wiped his face and hands with a napkin and threw it on his tray.
Me: "What video?" I asked. He sighed and thought for a moment.
RJ: "Of you and Cassie a few years back at the club. She was, you know, giving you da chewie and then letting you hit it from the back... With no condom." He added and I froze.
Me: "Df you mean they got video? Who took it?" I complained.
RJ: "I dont know," He shrugged. Just when I was going to respond, a female who I thought was Shawny walked up to us and I looked at her like she had four heads. "Hey, La La how you doing, girl?" RJ got up and hugged her. She was mocha color mixed with caramel and she had pretty green eyes to be a black girl. She looked just like Shawny and I had to know why.
Lala: "I'm doing good, just came from LAX. I've been driving around all morning and my mom isn't answering my calls or anything today. I saw you and was wondering If you seen her or Dee Dee." She explained. I couldn't stop staring at her face, it's her face that's got me going crazy.
Me: "I'm sorry, Can I ask you something?" I blurted interrupting them.
LaLa: "Sure," She said hesitantly.
Me: "Are you related to De'Shawn Smith?" I asked.
Lala: "No, my maden name is Hill." She shook her head. "I do have a sister named De'Shawn, though. That's who I'm looking for actually. I haven't seen her in like twelve years." She admitted with a giggle and I don't know why but something made me smile about her saying that.
Me: "Well, that's my wife." I said.
LaLa: "Wife?" She asked. "RJ, my sister got married?"
RJ: "Yeah, like two years ago." He said getting up and throwing his tray away, I did the same.
LaLa: "Well, it's Nice to meet you." She smiled and we shook hands. "I'm La'Shawn, your sister in law. But you can call me LaLa."
Me: "I'm De'Mario, but you can call me D." She giggled and smiled.
Lala: "Aww, that's cute. D and DeeDee." She laughed. Yeah, she sure is Shawny's sister. "Dee Dee got tha D!" She giggled. Me and RJ joined in.
Me: "Yeah, she sure did." I smirked.
RJ: "She even got two in the oven to go with it." He added and LaLa gasped.
LaLa: "Oh, my God, she's pregnant?!" She squealed.
Me: "Yes, ma'am." I smiled proudly.
LaLa: "Woww, so she's having twins like my mom?" She asked.
Me: "Yupp, the twins will be almost two years older than them but yeah. You'll have two brothers and sisters and two neices and nephews." I explained.
Lala: "What are you having & what did my mom name the twins?" She asked.
Me: "I don't know what we're having." I shrugged. "But your mom named the twins Son'Mona and Mary'Ann Sallie. Two girls." I replied and she smiled.
LaLa: "Those are all my dead relatives names." She looked at me. "That was beautiful." It was quiet for a moment while we walked out to our cars. She took a breath to speak but her tears nearly muttered her words away. I instantly pulled her into a hug because it seemed as though it was Shawny.
Me: "What's wrong?" I asked. She sniffled as I wiped her tears and looked at me with glistening eyes.
LaLa: "I've been looking for DeeDee all this time and it's like she's been on vacation. I bet she doesn't even want to see me again. For all I know, she hates me. I didn't even get to say goodbye when she left." She wiped away her tears.
Me: "No, trust me it's not that at all." I reassured her. "It's alot more to that, that she may not feel comfortable telling but just know she never meant to hurt you or any of your other brothers and sisters. Shawny's been through a lot. I think now's a great time for her to finally reunite with the family she left behind."
LaLa: "Does she know that Daddy died a year or two After she left? I had to hurt up and get custody of them before they got lost in the system." More tears fell from her eyes and at that moment, I felt real regret and guilt fill my soul.
I killed her pops and caused her to basically become a mother. Even though he wasn't the greatest man in the world, I still robbed her of her childhood because of the shit me and Shawny were in. I know she wants me to answer that question and almost certain that she will bring it up when we get to the house but some things are better left unsaid. I looked at RJ because he knows exactly what we did because he helped. He walked her to her car and I got in mine. As I pulled off, she followed and we all left to Ray and Nicole's house.
Once we make it there, it was a minute before we decided to get out and walk to the door. LaLa looked nervous and walked inside the house behind me. Shawny smiled once she seen my face and gave me a sweet kissed before hugging me tightly. LaLa started to tear up because how invisible she was probably feeling. No one noticed that LaLa had walked in and really wasn't paying attention until I said something.
Me: "Baby, Someone's here to see you." She looked at me until I moved.
LaLa stood in plain view for Shawny to see her and I swear to you it was the saddest moment ever at that point. Her facial expression changed to a deep wave of something that can't be described. It was so sad that I wanted to cry. Shawny didn't know whether or not she should hug her, smile, cry, scream, jumps, pass out, she just stared blankly with tears in her eyes and her mouth wide open as her hands covered it. She hesitated to speak but Im sorry was the only words she could get out.
LaLa: "Last time I seen you, I was 16." She started. "I'm 27 now." She whispered before bursting into tears and hugging Shawny. They both cried together and I rubbed Shawny's back as she rubbed LaLa's. "I missed you, Sissy. I thought I'd never see you again."
Shawny: "I missed you more," She blew a breath of sadness but tears still fell. "Don't say that, I would've found you."
LaLa: "Then why wait?" She asked with glistening eyes.
Shawny: "La-"
Nicole: "Don't stress your sister out, La'Shawn." She interrupted. "Come on, and eat."
LaLa: "I just want to know why you never came back to check on us. You didn't even call or text. When Daddy died, you didn't even come to the funeral." She narrowed her eyes at Shawny and their mom Nicole. Shawny and their mom froze. Tension grew and Ray walked in noticing the stranger in his dining room.
Ray: "Who dis?" He asked and LaLa turned to look at him nearly scaring the shit out of him. "She-"
Shawny: "Dad, this is my Sister La'Shawn." She introduced them.
Nicole: "John's daughter." She added. His jaw clenched at the name of his enemy being spoken. He probably then could see the resemblance. "Lala this is my husband Ray."
Shawny: "My real Dad." She added. LaLa looked at her with confusion and almost with hate. I don't think it would be a good time to tell her that we're responsible of the death of her father.
LaLa: "Oh, so that's what it is. You don't think you're part of the family now that you have your real father in the picture? Dad raised you and took care of you like you were his own. You couldn't even show up at his funeral but have the audacity to sit here and call this dead beat ass nigga your father?" She growled.
The time bomb in Ray and Shawny were ticking. I can tell Shawny was offended because of the background she has with that John nigga and Ray was upset because she disrespecting him in his own house. I was quiet as those two glared at LaLa and Nicole looked frightened as to what might happen next.
Me: "Honestly, I understand this is a issue between yah, but my baby is pregnant and Im not finna have no complications because of the past. If you know what I mean." I blurted out and sat Shawny down in the chair.
Shawny: "Believe what you want but John wasn't a father to me. Stop trying to make it seem like we lived a perfect life and he didn't despise me one bit." Shawny spat.
LaLa: "No one, despised you. You just wanted attention because you thought you were better than anyone else. You didn't care for us, you even used to beat us when we were kids but Dad stopped you from doing that." She yelled and Shawny couldn't fight tears anymore.
Shawny: "What was I supposed to do? I was young, I was only doing to you the way I was taught. And of course he would stop, you were his kids. You wanna know how he stopped me?" She narrowed her eyes at her with so much hate that it made me scared. I don't wanna hear this shit, she'll make me wanna kill that nigga again.
Me: "I said stop it!!" I shouted startling everyone. "Shawny, just Shut up. You're making me upset and stressing yourself out." I said sternly.
Nicole: "LaLa, you can't blame her for anything that your father did. I think you owe her an apology." She said sternly.
Ray: "Nah, she good. Just know that my daughter grown or not, will never call another man Daddy in my house. I may not have raised her and it's really not your business but you must have forgot that you're not my daughter. You're that niggas daughter, in my house, talking shit about me and mines. If it ain't nothing wrong with that picture to you, you tripping." He shook his head and rubbed Shawny's back. "There's alot of shit that you don't know and you're upset about it. The things you don't know can hurt you and If I seen you on the street not knowing that you were related to my wife or daughter, you'd probably be dead by now."
RJ: "LaLa, I think it's best If you just drop it. There's no good in this subject, trust me." He warned her.
Me: "Yeah, I suggest you listen to him." I advised.
LaLa: "Why? What is it that you're not telling me?" She asked.
Ray: "Some questions you don't ask about certain things. That happens to be one." He avoided.
Nicole: "Let's eat. Forget about all this shit and kiss and make up. Y'all working my nerves." She set the food on the table. "Whos ever staying, sit-down. If you ain't, then leave. No more of that nonsense in this house." She demanded.
Everyone did as they were told and it left an awkward stare upon everyones especially LaLa's face. This is going to be a bumpy rode for a while.
Me: "How is your eyes green?" I blurted.
LaLa: "Umm, contacts." She laughed and everyone joined in because my random outburst is what broke the tension. Surprisingly, suddenly everyone was on good terms. "Oh, I almost forgot. My husband and kids are waiting in the car for me." She got up and rushed out the door to get them. She walked in with a Latino guy and girl who looked around Maria's age and then a mixed little boy who looked about 5 years old. "This is my husband, Latrell Arenqui, his daughter Valentina Arenqui, and our son Lavonce Arenqui." She introduced us and they stayed for dinner.
