It was around midnight, everyone's asleep...or so I thought. I was up filling out paperwork for bring a new agent. I was writing to my book light when I heard a noise. It was Steve. He was rummaging through the fridge. "Hungry?" I ask catching him red handed. "Oh, hey Cait. Why are you awake?" he asks closing the fridge door. "Work." I say in response. "Can I talk to you?" I ask. "Uh...sure" he said. I walk over to the freezer and reach all the way in the back and pull out two Ben and Jerry's ice cream tubs and I grab two spoons. I hand Steve one and a spoon. "Where did you get these?" he asked. "They're Clint's secret stash" I say quietly. He laughs. We start eating and I say "So I'm your little girl?" I re-ask from earlier. "Yep. As long as you stay that height" he says playfully. "So does this make you my 'dad'?" I ask. "I guess so" he says scarfing down his Chocolate Therapy flavored ice cream as I eat the Tonight Dough Starring Jimmy Falon flavored. "Cool." I said. "I heard about this thing....umm..it's at a local place. There's a daddy daughter dance next week and I was wondering if you could take me." I say preparing g myself for a big no lecture. "Sure" he said. "I'll take you" "Thank you so much! I love you dad!" I said realizing I called him dad. "I mean Steve" I correct myself. "I love you too" he said in response. He went to his room and I went to the couch and continued my paperwork. I put on earbuds connected to my iPhone and put on Circus by Britney Spears and Drag Me Down by One Direction and Suit and Tie by Justin Timberlake. I have a big day tomorrow!
