La tierra más fértil y rica de todo México.

Vengo del estado dónde

la verdad y la razón de ser,

no faltan.

Because if you are from Veracruz,

You know what is like to live

in Veracruz.

Y si eres de Veracruz,

You know of the "every Mondays",

Donde la bandera recibe sus honores,

For Its significance, Its history.

Por aquellos que lucharon y sacrificaron,

Y no solo por Veracruz, también por México.

Y se that it is not only Veracruz,

Most states of Mexico do it.

We do it with our white uniforms,

We do it to our heart's content.

We fight among classes and grades,

Just to have a chance to do the honors.

Y nunca falta aquel grupo de personas,

Annoyed to come out and do formation.

Just to pay patriotism to our Roots,

To the land that conceived us and raise us.

Raise us to be the person we are,

The person we wish to be,

The person we will chose to be.

Y eso es algo que nos distingue.

Muchos otros lugares del mundo lo hacen.

¡Yo vengo de Veracruz!

De la Cuenca del Papaloapán.

Yo vengo del Sur de Veracruz.

Y si eres de otro estado Mexicano,

Tu Veracruz, no sonará igual

A mi Veracruz.

Vengo de la feria de acentos,

Del tianguis de los Lunes.

Vengo de la tierra Jarocha.

De los Lunes en que la gente de la sierra,

llega al municipio por las compras,

los pagos, los retiros.

Vengo de esos y tantos Lunes,

De cuando regresas a tu casa

From the streets without semáforos.

De las calles que cruzas aunque el carro venga a 20 pasos de ti,

De las esquinas y tienditas llenas de gente hablando joyas pérdidas.

Y yo no se if it is,

Náhuatl,

Totonaca u otra,

Pero son unas de las personas más humildes que puedes conocer.

I come from Veracruz,

but I come from a small area.

Vengo de un municipio.

Vengo de Playa Vicente Veracruz.

I don't come from the city,

I was not raise with your definition of

LUXURY.

But I was raise just fine.

My PICDA teacher once said,

"If in your house Tortilla, Beans and Rice don't go missin, you are RICH"

Because México is not rich enough,

No country is.

México is poor on love,

humildad, humanismo, respecto and above all

México is poor on its security.

I may not come from the city or the capital,

But I don't need to live there to tell you the truth.

Veracruz may be so rich,

Veracruz may be beautiful,

Veracruz may be your place of tourism.

But...

Veracruz is not safe,

Veracruz is no joke when crime is brought up,

Veracruz is not a place for the future generation.

I know the truth

You should know it too.

Porqué donde hay cantos y bailes,

Arpa, Jarana y festejó.

Hay velorios, llantos y 90 días.

El grupo que va tocando,

behind the death.

Porqué donde hay educación,

También hay gangs.

Donde hay juegos de las atrapadas,

También hay juegos de balazos.

No vengo de tu cuento de hadas,

No vengo de lugares perfectos,

Solo vengo de un pequeño municipio

Llamado Playa Vicente.

Because where there is happiness and smiles,

There is pain and sorrow.

Where there are fireworks,

And all kind of artesanal things,

There is blood and levantones.

I come from Playa Vicente,

I come from Veracruz,

I come from México.

I come from a place like yours,

But I come from a place that has gotten me here,

Where I stand with you all.

Vengo de Veracruz,
