41- Drop the Act, Will You?
"Frank, you alright?" The Lucky Rabbit asked once again. The doctor nodded.
"Of course. There are just some... Arrangements being made at the moment, concerning our devil friend."
Oswald sighed, scratching behind the wolf's ears with no intention of stopping at the moment.
"Is something wrong with him?" The rabbit spoke, his voice laced in concern.
"Well..." Frank shook his head to the side swiftly. "Something... Happened."
It was at that exact moment the wolf seemed to respond to the voices in the room, no matter how quiet they really were.
"Hmm... What time is it?"
Oswald rubbed his eyes as Frank answered.
"Seven in the morning. We can get started once I go get you two something to eat..." The doctor went to stand up in his chair when Boris answered,
"Actually... I'm not too hungry. Can we just start?"
The doctor shook his head. "No, you need something in your system. If not something heavy, then I can get you fruit."
Oswald nudged the wolf at Boris' expression. "C'mon, you should eat something."
The wolf gave in. "...Alright..."
Frank smiled faintly. "I'll be back."
Boris watched the doctor leave before sighing, resting his head back on the rabbit's stomach. "Dad, I'm not... Very hungry... seriously..."
"Well, what kind of parent would I be to just let you starve?"
"..."
"Exactly. Come on, you'll only be hungry later. Besides, you might just need to eat for testing reasons."
Boris snuggled tighter. "'Kay, Dad..."
Oswald grinned a bit. "Don't be going back to sleep. He'll be back soon."
"...I'm not sleeping... Just resting my eyes..."
The rabbit snickered. "Right, right." He pat his head.
'Precious.'

Doctor Andrew scrolled through the pages of context in which an old... Friend sent him.
Name: Bendy
Creator: Joey Drew
Species: Demon
Age: ?
Reactant to blue: Inner bleeding(?)
Reactant to orange/anxiety: Well enough. Had an issue with brother, perhaps it was for the reason the glass was dark on the side of which he was looking in. It appears the demon has a strong connection to his wolf brother.
Issues: Anger management(?), Ink drips continuously, cannot speak.
Power(s): Heartbeats, Ink puddles(?)

Andrew sighed and stepped away from his computer. He still was left with little to nothing more to know about this toon.
Shelly entered the room sporting a pale colored blouse. "All right Andy... What are we going to do right now?"
The doctor did not take the time to look at her. "I'm not sure... I've been gaining information from a fellow doctor about Bendy. I have some files now."
The fox nodded. "Well, we've got six days left, now. Six days to help him."
Andrew nodded. "Yes yes... I know... We've got another dose of something new. It has not been tested, though. Should we give it to him?"
Shelly stepped over. "What should it do?"
"It should strengthen his voice, granting him more control over this speech problem of his."
The fox's eyes hardened. "Any side effects?"
"N-not that can be presented without testing. And we have no time to test anyone else."
Shelly pursed her lips, and folded her arms. "We can try it out. But not a huge dose, got it?"
Andrew nodded.
"Then let's get this going."

Bendy was awoken from footsteps approaching further away. The heartbeats obviously belonged to the fox and cat, and so the demon perked up right away.
It did not come as a surprise when the cat waved him to follow. Bendy followed quietly, but edged away a bit from the fox when she stepped beside him.
"It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you again." Her voice was soft, and sounded almost alien to the demon. When Bendy thought of Shelly, he was brought back to the collars and hateful comments. Of course she had a reason to hate him, but that did not make it okay.
Still the demon flinched. His horns eased side to side a bit, bringing him every sound around the three toons. Doctor Andrew paused at a door, and slipped a card inside, granting him access.
The doctor entered first, and then waved the ink demon to come in. He obliged, stepping in with hesitant thoughts.
There, to the far side of the white room, was a heavy locked door, which was full of liquids in test tubes, and even instruments which looked painfully sharp.
Bendy stepped closer, eyeing a desk with a computer, files spread around, and pages filled inside bound notepads. He then peered at a glass door near where Doctor Andrew stood, who was fiddling with something out of his vision. But he could hear a clink of glass, and the small breaths the feminine fox inhaled and exhaled, behind him.
The demon stood still, awaiting instructions. He did not know what they were planning to do with him, but he felt as though he would be safe.
'Glass. What is filled with glass? Liquids. Like ink. Wait no, something else. Blue stuff. Blue stuff, oh no-' the demon fretted inside his head, clasping his hands together out of worry. 'He wouldn't give me that blue stuff, right? Please don't say it's gonna be the-'
"Bendy?"
The demon was ripped from his thoughts. "Huh?" He looked up to see the doctor holding a blue liquid, scaring the demon to take a tentative step back.
"It's alright! This is not the same vial you had taken back with Doctor Frank."
Bendy eased a bit, still uneasy with seeing that harmful liquid.
"This has been altered, and technically a different thing altogether. This will do the opposite as the blue vial prior, which will help you in a way."
"...W-what kinda way?" the demon spoke, still eyeing the vial.
"Well,we have two to try. One has the ability to clear up some of your throat, which may grant some more power to speak. This one however," he held it up a bit. "will do something else. It will work on you slowly but surely. This has the chemicals to keep your powers at bay, which means they might be dulled if you so desire."
'Ah right,' the demon thought bitterly. 'I had lost control before...'
Shelly stepped closer, and Bendy was startled when she placed a hand on his arm. The demon jerked it out of her grasp and side stepped away, uncomfortable. What he did not notice, however, was the item in which she held.
"This will help you," the fox said. But the demon still felt uncomfortable. He hated this woman... because he hated her cruelty.
The demon heard the doctor open the door and wave this down. "That will not be necessary, Shelly. Bendy is strong... He won't need pain relievers. Besides, he won't feel anything."
Bendy's spines flared up a bit, on edge with uncertainty and many, many doubts.
Frank gestured for the demon to come, and with heavy shoulders the demon complied, and stepped inside the room. Frank then stepped closer, and held another syringe. Except this one was not a needle, and instead it was one to push out and swallow.
"I changed it up for you... Open up, please." He raised his arms.
The demon nodded, and opened his mouth and closed his lips over it, and got a full taste of the liquid. The liquid itself tasted terrible- but he would rather take this nasty stuff than a piercing through unstable skin...
He swallowed, and Andrew moved back out, sealing the door.
The demon squirmed. Even after the doctor left he squirmed, and sighed. He now awaited and felt a clenching in his throat as he cleared his throat with watering eyes.
And just like that, his throat cleared. The demon breathed slowly, trying to wrap his head around what that liquid was supposed to do.
A hidden intercom blasted softly.
"Try to speak, Bendy." It was Shelly's voice which blasted. The demon's horns ringed as he thought aloud, snippy.
"Well maybe if you stopped demanding me like those asses-!" Bendy stopped, eyes wide. His voice did not glitch, and it was not hurting at the moment. "M-maybe if you..." The demon stopped, feeling a slight fiery tingle. "...Dang it..." he muttered, and stopped talking, slumping on the wall with disgust.
"No no, this was a success! Can you talk once more?"
The demon hissed quietly at the wall. "Why not just shock me already?" His voice crippled. "It's what yer best at." he slid down the wall and landed on his rump, holding his head in one hand. "Act all you want..." He had his experience with something like this. Joey had changed, or so he thought. This fox was just another Joey Drew... Someone to cringe at. Someone to hate. "But... Drop the act, will you?"
The door opened to the fox.
"Ever heard of change?" She paused. "Because you're looking at one right here."
The demon growled lowly. "It was sudden, don't ya think?" his right hand's clawed hand clamped onto his leg with force, and began to lightly trickle ink. "Well I don't buy it!" he yelled, echoing inside the room.
"Look, I know we don't like each other but what you don't understand is that I'm trying to help you." Shelly huffed and held another liquid. It held half a syringe this time, which the demon thought was odd. It also contained a needle, much to his distaste. "Give me your arm." She stepped closer, and the demon hissed once more. Finally she got tired of this and lunged forward, grabbed his wrist and jammed it in. The demon cried out a bit at the intrusion as the clear liquid seeped through his inky veins, until the sound of everything became duller and duller...
Until all his senses were snatched away.
The fox sighed, not knowing of the problem, and marched out the room.
Bendy slumped to his side, and began to cry in confusion. The cold floor was all he could feel. He could not see, he could not hear. The demon could only whimper and cry, frame shaking. Frank peered closer into the cameras.
"Bendy?" he spoke into the speakers. He watched the demon tremble as a thought hit him like a brick. He opened the door and ran in, whiskers twitching as he got to his knees. "Bendy? Bendy can you hear me?"
Bendy could feel two hands shaking him as he croaked. His horns were rattling, but he himself could not even hear them. He could feel the vibrations, but not the sound. It was a deeper vibration, and therefore a deeper noise.
"C-can't," the demon shuttered. "S-see..."
Doctor Andrews jumped up. "Shelly! He lost his senses!" His tone was panicked, and a bit higher pitched as the demon's inky horns caught this and noted it.
'Something's wrong.'
The demon held his head and took in deep breaths, pressing his dripping forehead onto the cool floor, craving the feeling of something at least. He was oh so very confused, and he could only hear his thoughts.
Swimming around like fish in a bowl...
Swish, swish, splash.

To Be Continued...
Oh geez- I'd been working on this chapter bit by bit for about 3 days. Sorry it took so long...
____
It tis 6:45 in the morning as I write this.
I'm too tired for all these names. ;-;
Also sorry if it didn't seem as good this chapter, because I kinda got frustrated and kept adding more and more. It didn't turn out as good as I had hoped. I literally just figured out the ending less than an hour ago. *clicks* Noice.
