My eyes soon fluttered open, when I heard the soft sound of Silver squeaking and sobbing...something that I had grown accustomed to since he was my son, as I started to sit up I noticed that the spot next to me was empty. A soft growl escaped my throat at that damn jackal sneaking into my sleeping space just to kidnap my mate.

The twitching of my ear when I heard the soft serenade of someone singing coming from the playroom, at first I thought it was one of those nanny bots, but the voice was too gentle, and organic to be from one of them. I quickly got out of bed...not bothering to put on a t-shirt, but summoned one of my chaos energy guns into my hand, I doubt it was one of those prisoners that we held captive on the Death Egg, but it was then I'll be sure to put them out of their misery.

But my eyes only widened before they softened at the sight that was in front of me, the moment that I opened the door.

Sonic had cracked the window blinds open just by a little bit, to let the natural light of the moon and sunshine into the room, in his arms sleeping peacefully with his thumb in his mouth was Silver.

Sonic was just humming a soft lullaby to our son, as he was just sitting by the window. Our son had to have been fed and was just snuggling closer to his warmth. His emerald gaze shifted over to me, as he just smiled at me...I...I've always seen that smile whenever he was in his holding cell. But seeing it now when he wasn't behind bars. It just caused my heartbeat to quicken in pace.

"Sonic?... What?"

The black hedgehog called out as he stepped over to the broken hero, the blue hedgehog...who had a tired experience on his muzzle and only lifted his head to look at his warden. He only motions his head down to the sleeping hoglet in his arms, as if to say that the tiny creature caused him to wake up earlier than normal.

The black hedgehog only softened his expression as he just scooped up his tired rival, and began to carry him back to bed...he was kind of glad that it wasn't the prisoner that was trying to kidnap his son, just so they had some blackmail so that he was going have to help get the other prisoners, escape...the blue hedgehog rested his head into his warden's chest fur, some soft purring starting to escape his throat...as he just felt his eyelids start to feel heavy, only for them to shot open again when he felt his hoglet start to snuggle closer into his body.

"Tired?"

"Yes, Master...I-It's been heard sleeping alone in my cell."

The blue hedgehog responded, the black hedgehog just climbed onto his back with his rival in his arms, he only angled himself so that his rival was still resting against him. Taking his rival's legs he pulls them to his lap, he leans down to plant a kiss on his rival's forehead and ear getting some passionate purrs from his obedient rival.

"Do you get sleep with Infinite?"

The blue hedgehog only glances down at his son, before back at his rival...his ears only tilted back, slightly as he didn't know how to answer that. He rarely got moments like this with the Mercenary, it had always been aggression and pain from the jackal. But after those moments the jackal would show a side of tenderness, and comfort...a feeling that the blue hedgehog had gotten used to over the years. But he had been able to have peaceful night sleeps. Even if the pure exhaustion caused him to pass out after the harsh intercourse.

If anything it was only a matter of time before he ran out of birth control. And he found himself in a situation like he was when he was pregnant with Silver. If anything those pills were always mixed into his food, whenever the Doctor's Robotic assistants were in charge of feeding him. Once a month.

The blue hedgehog only let out a soft breath, when he felt his rival's nails trace over the deep gashes that were on his sides, some of them from the Life Form, and others were very obviously done by the Jackal.

I felt my body being shifted...my legs were resting at my Master's hips as he just pulled me closer to his body, Silver still being protected by my arms so that he was crushed by both of our weights. I only nuzzle my muzzle underneath my Master's cheek, his muscular body holding me firm and tight. A soft purr escapes my throat when he starts to lick and kiss around my damaged ear, putting my nerves at ease. His deep purrs caused my heartbeat a little faster.

The black hedgehog's ear twitched when he heard the soft breathing and snoring from his rival, he only grabbed the covers and pulled them back over his two favorite mobians. He only glances over at the clock that was on the nightstand, a small grin curling on his muzzle...for once he wasn't bothered at midnight to pass over his rival to his competitor.

"Dream Well...my Love~"

He whispered into his rival's ear. His hand traced over the gemstone that was attached to his rival's chest...his ears only tilted back when he sensed a strong amount of chaos energy coming off the gemstones. He knew that his rival had so many surprises back when they first met and one of those surprises was his chaos energy, it was unique...much like his own but powerful...since he always remained hopeful, even to this day. There was just something about this blue hedgehog that always got him craving more and with the fake emerald attached to his chest, he was starting to understand why he was so addicting.

Holding his rival close to his body, as if he were a bride he placed a small kiss on his forehead, before muttering the words.

"Chaos Control"

With a bright flash of light, the three of them were transported out of his quarters.

Upon opening his eyes he saw that he was just outside of the hidden location that was only known to him, and that jackal...as well as those two robot assistants, belonged to the egg-shaped human. A small noise from his son causes the Life Form to look down at him. The hoglet sensed the sudden change of chaos energy his Father had transported him and his mother out of the small space...though being almost a week old, he didn't know what was going on or why the room looked so different.

"It's alright Silver, I'm just putting Mommy to bed."

The black hedgehog scooped up the hoglet from his rival's and held him in his other arm, he opened the door to the holding cell...laying his rival down on the comfortable cot, he knew that the cot wasn't as comfortable as the beds were but it was the only thing that the Doctor would agree on since the broken hero had been so well behaved. After tucking the hedgehog in he steps back to close the door and lock it.

"Let's get you to bed...Silver"

He said to his hoglet as he just gave him a soft nuzzle, making him purr...without needing to say the words he just transported himself with his son in his arms back to his quarters.

He and the jackal had gotten attached to the broken hero...to the point that they would fight for dominance, both of them were equally strong enough to take on the other, with the black hedgehog being more mentally stable to the point that mind tricks like those illusions hardly got to him. He didn't experience going through memory loss, or for some alien starfish to come and force him to relive his memories. For nothing.

But they had a common interest, and that was the blue hedgehog...they both could see it in his broken eyes, he was just so full of love, and hope for them both...that even if they managed to kill each other. They would end up just breaking that bond that they have with the hedgehog. Something that they didn't want to lose in a time like this.
