The egg-shaped human was sitting at his panel...just monitoring the activity that was going on Mobius, most of his robots and those illusions along with his generals, were taking care of the rebels...or what they had started calling themselves the Resistances. In an okay-like manner.
Some of his robots had gone down from the Resistance soldiers, teaming up to take them down...but their illusions were so close to the real deals that he couldn't help but to grin at those pathetic Mobians who thought they had a chance of winning this war.
"Sir?"
The mad genius kept his gaze on the panel as he watched each mobian get defeated by the likes of Zavok. Having gone through so much humiliation from those mobians, and their group of heroes...he just couldn't help himself but watch and praise the Resistance's defeat. Watching the Betrayal in their eyes when they get defeated by who they thought was an alley, watching as cities, towns, and villages crumble underneath him...it was a feeling that he missed since the Great War that happened sixteen years ago.
A time when he first met that group of Fighters, and that blasted blue hedgehog.
"Sir?"
"WHAT?! Can you see that I am enjoying the defeat of those vermin!"
He shouted at the red sphere-like robot, that was trying to get his attention in the first place...before he could get an answer from one of his assistants there was an explosion that came from the flat screen that the mad genius was watching from...underneath his circular blue glasses his red eyes shifted back to the screen, as they widen at what he was seeing.
On the screen was a red wolf mobian, with different weapons in his arsenal... things that he had made himself, along with a wristband that had a grappling line attached to it. The mad genius growls as he starts typing away on his keys making his so-called small drones that he had sent out to be his eyes out on the battlefield just so he didn't have to leave the comfort of his home base.
"Doctor...We had gone through all the data and that Mobian isn't on any of our records."
"Gah...No matter, one new wannabe hero isn't going to be enough to fix the war to the resistance's favor."
The red sphere robot just saw the Mad Genius type away on the keyboard, as the sound of something ringing can be heard.
"Hello Doctor"
"Mimic! I want you to keep an eye on this Red Wolf, I can not let things falter underneath me, not when the taste of victory is so close."
"Red Wolf? Hmm, I'll get on that Doctor..."
The call soon ended, and the Mad Genius had his eyes glued to the screen as he was just this wolf taking down his illusions...and saving the lives of their fallen companions. He only pressed a key on the keyboard switching the camera feed to the holding cells in the Death Egg.
His mood had been ruined by that sudden introduction of another Resistant Alley, and he needed to shift his attention elsewhere to his prisoner. Even if the hedgehog was broken to the point of no return...or at least he hopes it's to the point of no return the sight of the hedgehog being behind bars and stuck in confinement by his hands, forced to wake up every day with the burden of helplessness. Was enough to make anyone who had been bested by this hedgehog feel overjoyed.
His main concern was of course his generals who had gained somewhat of an attachment to the hedgehog. Something that kind of baffles him.
"I need a bath..."
He simply muttered to himself as he forced his body up from his chair...he had a lot on his mind, after having to see his two generals have animalistic-like glances at each other that was a sign of protecting one's territory. At the sight of that male wolf...he had a lot to think about, hopefully, that wolf isn't going to be a threat to his plans.

The blue hedgehog, had his ears tilted back...as his body was trembling, the emerald was giving off a soft cyan glow as it started to spark a little, reacting to the broken hedgehog's active mind, during his slumber, the hedgehog suddenly jolted awake as his once jaded eyes started to give off a sparking cyan glow in reaction to the emerald. It was normal for him to get nightmares...since he's been in isolation for sixteen years and almost a week now. In his broken state, his nightmares were always the same.
Just him witnessing the falling of his friends and the growth of the empire. His breathing started to soften as he was starting to calm down... causing the sudden sparks of pure chaos energy to die down as well and his quills to lower. His jaded eyes returned to their beautiful color.
As soon as his eyes fully adjusted to his surroundings, he saw that he was back in his holding cell. His right ear twitched as he started to sense something...or rather something that had been there.
"Why...do I sense Master Shadow and Silver's chaos energy, I don't have that ability, only Master Shadow and Knuckles can do that?"
He thought to himself his gaze shifted down to the emerald that was sticking out from between his chest, he saw the bit of blood that was seeping out of the wound. The sound of footsteps echoed throughout the corridors as they started to get closer to his holding cell.
"Good Morning Puppy"
"Morning Master?"
"It seems that you have adjusted quite nicely to the new addition to your body."
The blue hedgehog leaned into the Mercenary's hand, purring softly letting the jackal scratch the side of his cheek. Using his powers he just pulled the broken hedgehog through the bars of the cell into his arms, he only mentally growled at that agent's scent being all over his pet. Looking down at the hedgehog in his arms he just gives the gentle creature a soft nuzzle on the top of his head, before carrying him off down the corridors.
