Rules for requesting
Hey guys! After novel reading and writing, graphic designing is my favorite thing. So I decided to make a portfolio-type thingie so I can showcase my premade book covers, banners, etc., as well as create new ones (custom made) for people. I take cash payments for custom made book covers if they are going to be used commercially.
Q: What is a premade?
A: A premade is a readymade cover which you can ask for without making a custom request if you think the cover fits your story.
RULES
[Must read or your request will be rejected]
1. You must use the cover for at least one month. Yes, graphic designers are very much human and feel sad when their work aren't valued.
2. You must not request covers from more than one designer at a time. We designers treat it as same as cheating sometimes. It is very disrespectful to us.
3. You must pay for the cover, custom made or premade. Don't worry, I'm not asking for cash. Leaving honest comments on my book will be fine. Although, this is only for the noncommercial/creative commons ones. If you want a cover to use commercially, you must pay. For those who think it is selfish, we designers have bills to pay too.
4. The amount of details you want on your cover decided the payment. You will fill out the form written in the end of this chapter. I will reply to your comment with stars out of five to tell your payment. Stars are the main form of currency used in this graphics book. The book mentioned below to comment on is Flame of Frost.
★★★★★ = 5 honest 3 line comments on 5 different chapters* of my book.
★★★★ = 4 honest 3 line comments on 4 different chapters of my book.
★★★ = 3 honest 3 line comments on 3 different chapters of my book.
★★ = 2 honest 3 line comments on 2 different chapters of my book.
★ = 1 honest 3 line comment on one chapter of my book.
♦ = Commercial/Cash paid
*The chapters don't include prologue and/or meanings and pronunciations parts.
5. Asking for way too detailed covers (which might take a week or two), using the graphics commercially, submitting in a competition (publishing based) or publishing your book traditionally or electronically straightaway means you have to pay in cash. Why? Because:
1. Too many details means I might have to buy a stock photo, how will I pay for it?
2. Very heavily detailed means a lot of efforts. My efforts are worth something.
3. If you use my graphics commercially without buying it from me, it's plagiarism.
6. After I reply to your comment with stars, you must immediately do the payment. If I reply with a diamond, let me know if you're interested in paying so I tell you my email.
7. Reply with "Rumpelstiltskin" in the "favorite fairytale" question in the form. This is a password to let me know you've actually read the rules.
8. You should have at least 2 or more legit chapters published on Wattpad for requesting a premade or custom made cover. Of course I'll check. This doesn't apply for commercial/cash paid covers.
9. No erotica please. It's not my cup of tea. My mom is always around me when I'm working and I often ask for her opinions, can you imagine how awkward it will be?
10. Let me know if you're not going to use the cover when I give it to you. It really hurts to see the art get wasted for no reason. Even if you don't like it, let me know, it'll help me improve.
11. Be patient. I have a life outside of my electric appliances and loads of problems. I need a break too sometimes during work.
12. Let me know if you are going to change/remove the cover I made you. If you don't, it will be like starting to date someone before even breaking up with your current significant other. How does it feel? Not good.
13. Each premade also costs something (in stars), depending on how much I worked on it. I will write in the description of the premade how many stars it costs.
14. You can ask to change the title in a premade but it will cost an extra star. Adding something else in it costs another two stars. N/A for cash paid.
15. You must credit me in the description/blurb of your story.
16. Do not remove my watermark. It is my graphic, my copyright mark and it's hardly noticeable. There won't be a watermark in cash paid covers.
17. A premade which is commercially bought will be taken down, but if it is not, it will stay up. Why? Because this is also my portfolio, to show case my graphics. Nobody else will take the premade but it will stay up.

Make sure you read everything before you comment your form. Make it detailed so I get what to do, what to draw, what to put on the cover. The character limit is 2000 for comments but you can comment twice.
Have fun guys, and also make it fun for me!
