"i dont know what to wear."

its been the same whine for nearly the entire morning. there was only so much pouting and outfit changes that one person could handle, and the poor blonde was reaching his wits end. "dude. go naked." jimin had said at this point. he was laying on his back on his best friends bed, getting a jacket thrown over his face a second later.

taehyung dug threw his closet some more and grunted. "this is so dumb. im not going." he gave up, sitting on the floor and crossing his arms.

"bro youre not going to throw a tantrum right now." it was hoseok. he came over to spend time with his boyfriend and inevitably got sucked into helping the brunette find an outfit for his plans today.

those plans happened to be with a certain handsome ravenette, who also happened to ask the boy out today once they had all finished up eating at friendsgiving the other day. taehyung didnt want to seem too eager at the time, but he was practically jumping with joy when jungkook asked him to hang out. even if it was to a baseball game.

"heres an idea." jimin said. he took the jacket from covering his face and threw it back at his best friend on the floor. "why dont you wear a baseball jersey to a baseball game. problem solved."

hoseok flicked his boyfriends nose gently. "be nice. he's figuring it out." he scolded the blonde.

jimin pouted and got his nose kissed better, which led to more and soon too much ⏤ so taehyung groaned again and hid himself his closet so he could find an outfit.

wearing the jersey would make sense, but he also wanted to look nicer than that. except, he wasnt even sure if this was a date, or if this was just friends hanging out. taehyung sighed and knew he was running out of time, so the jersey would have to do and a pair of ripped jeans to make his outfit a little more fashionable.

they were going to meet at the stadium. taehyung planned on walking and hoped that would give him enough time to plan on what to say. he knew he should imagine like this was a date, no matter how badly he wished it was, but he really couldnt help it.

"bye you nasties." he said to the couple on his bed, not waiting for much of a response before he left down the hall.

each step seemed to send a mess of butterflies in taehyungs stomach, both in a good and bad way. it was so hard not to turn around and go home, not thinking he could get through this day without making a fool of himself. taehyung also wanted to run and get there even faster. he couldnt wait to hang out with jungkook knowing the younger wanting to spend time with him and only him.

that feeling grew when taehyung saw him standing there near the ticket booth by the opening gate. jungkook didnt need to try to look good, everything he wore made him seem more perfect than the day before.

there was a smile on his face when he saw taehyung, walking closer to meet him half way. "hey tae." jungkook said. he glanced down at the boys body, tilting his head a bit to the side now, "why are you wearing that?" he asked.

taehyung looked down at his jersey and then back up at the other, "because im going to a baseball game. why are you wearing that." he questioned back, poking jungkooks tummy that was covered by the plain black tshirt he wore.

"because im not on the team, im not going to wear a jersey." he said. "i dont wear scrubs to the doctors office."

"see when you put it like that, i want to change now." taehyung said.

a soft chuckles escaped past jungkooks lips, the same ones forming a smile when he looked over at the brunette. "im playing with you. you look fine, come on." jungkook said, nodding his head over to the gates.

taehyung started to walk towards the ticket booth, considering those things were necessary in order to enter the game in the first place. he wasnt expecting jungkook to take his hand, tugging him away to go in the opposite direction. "uh, kook." taehyung said, looking back at the gate and the people entering and the increase in cheers that could be heard coming from inside the stadium. "i think the game is that way." he pointed over his shoulder with his free hand.

jungkook looked back too and nodded. "i hope they do good today." he said ⏤ and then kept walking, holding taehyungs hand, and not telling him where they were going at all.

"now i feel really dumb for wearing a jersey." taehyung said.

they clearly weren't going to see the game, and jungkook just liked to smile all cute and think that was okay enough to make up for the lack of answers he was giving. "you still look good tae." jungkook said, even giving the boys hand a squeeze as he said it.

"so where are we-" taehyung cut himself off as they rounded the corner of the building. it was a merchandise house for any of the events being held, and on the other side was a parking lot for overflow. except, right now there was just a huge rv sitting there and jungkook turning to hold his arms out. "ta da!" the younger said, smile big despite the confusion in taehyungs eyes.

"an rv."

"yes, an rv." jungkook said. "i wanted to say sorry, for being moody after kissing you and you saying we should try to be friends first before anything else." he walked closer to taehyung and held his hands again. "i was immature and should have respected what you wanted. so i got you a gift to make up for it." he was quiet now, looking down at their hands joined and waiting for the brunette to say something.

taehyung was watching jungkook closely, seeing the way the boy wouldnt look up just yet. "so you got me an rv." he repeated.

"no dummy." jungkook said. "youre gift is in the rv."

things were always strange and odd when it came to jungkook, but that kind of made it better. taehyung felt a warmth in his chest and soon he was the one still holding onto the youngers hand and pulling him towards the large vehicle.

he had no idea what it could be, considering he was barely expecting an apology let alone any kind of gift. taehyung would have been okay with a just a high five and then carrying on the way things were before. but this was certainly better ⏤ and it only got better when he swung open that rv door.

there were little toys scattered on the floor when the two boys stepped in, the size of the rv on the inside was insane, from the small kitchenette to the little sitting area before the mini hall that most likely led to a bathroom or room. taehyung looked around for something wrapped, anything that could be his gift.

he accidentally stepped on one of the toys, a little carrot shaped one that squeaked when he did so.

it was the sound of that toy that had taehyung seeing motion in the corner of his eye. the small thing picking its head up from where he laid on the couch when he heard the sound of his toy.

"thats his favorite one." jungkook whispered from behind taehyung, both males seeing the little dog stand now from where he was snoozing on the pillow. "oh my god jungkook." taehyung said. he had never seen something so cute, the little dog was so small and fluffy, black and tan and staring so intently at that carrot toy he wanted.

"he wants you to throw it." jungkook said.

he couldnt take his dark eyes off the pretty brunette, the way he looked at the dog and his lips still stayed parted in shock. "jungkook hes so cute look at him." taehyung whispered, crouching down to pick up the carrot and hold it out. "go get it you adorable son of a bitch." he said, throwing the little thing as far as he could in the rv.

the dog took off, jumping from the couch to get the toy and bring it back. he did so, running right back to taehyung and climbing into his lap before dropping the carrot on the ground in front of the two of them. taehyung looked up at jungkook with the biggest eyes, "dude i love him." he said.

"you should love me too for getting him for you." jungkook said it with a chuckle, walking over to sit where the puppy was just laying.

"thank you so much." taehyung said, he was playing with the dog, pretending to tug the carrot from the dogs grip. "you didnt have to do this." he said too, looking over at the ravenette.

jungkook had a small smile on his face while he watched. "i know." he said. "i wanted to."

they sat like that for a moment, both watching the dog be all cute and play with his toy, trying to wrestle it back from taehyungs hand. it was the older male who spoke up first, some of his curiousness still there. "so whats the rv for?" he asked. there was no way jungkook just got it to hide the dog, even he wasnt that dramatic or ridiculous.

jungkook stood up now with a grin, "im glad you asked." he started to say, "the four of us are going camping! no people or social media or any ties to the real world. completely remote." he said.

"four?"

"well i have to bring toast." jungkook said. "after what happened to your fish, I do not just jimin and yoongi to babysit."

taehyung understood that, nodding and then throwing the carrot away for his dog to go fetch it now. he came right back, into his lap and dropping the toy just to lick taehyungs thumb like a kiss. it was strange how nice things could suddenly turn out, one day to the next making a complete revolution and suddenly things couldnt seem to get any better.

this is how it was meant to be. taehyung looked up at jungkook and smiled, and the younger was sitting beside in a second. they stayed in that rv for a while, playing with the dog and talking to each other ⏤ something so simple, still being so perfect.
