art is part of the humans soul, a means to express and become the dream that desires to emerge from a part of ourselves. it's a way to communicate with the deeper self of humans of both the artist and those observing. the beauty of art travels further than a single message meant by the one who birthed its existence with a brush and imagination, but a single piece invoking different emotions depending on the person seeing it.

that was the kind of art that was priceless. such a gift to the world that seems to die more with each day. that was also the kind of art the boy could only one day dream of creating, but in a sense, everyone is an artist in their own ways. there is no one way to define what makes an artist — which is exactly why his mind was not deviating from the idea that bloomed and landed him and his good friend at the kitchen table with brushes and paints waiting for them.

"this is out of my expertise." the shorter male said, hands resting on his hips and soon moving take one of the brushes. he twirled it between fingers decorated with pretty rings, the way they sparkles matching the one that seemed to always be in his eyes, even when he was unsure. "don't think too much about it." his friend said, pulling out the kitchen chair to take a seat. "let the brush move on it's own jimin." he added on.

the boy, jimin, simply rolled his eyes and sat down as well. "says you. you're good at everything." jimin said, putting the brush down and adjusting the way the canvas laid on the surface of the table.

"not true. remember the dragon?" taehyung said. the mention of the mythical beast had both boys looking over at their fridge and seeing the painting hanging there thanks to a froggy magnet. what was suppose to be a dragon looked more like a cute gecko with an orange wig on, that's at least what jimin described it as.

"either way, it's a fucking cool looking gecko." jimin was still complimenting his friend, and he'd always continue to do so without really seeing how great he also was.

taehyung sighed and moved them on their way, knowing how easy it was for the two to get distracted like this. the brunette smiled up and waved, making sure there was a green light and already knowing he checked that the mic was on and working. "hi everyone, i forced jimin back again." taehyung spoke to the camera, such an easy feeling after doing it so many times. he never had a formal intro, not when he couldn't remember to say the same thing every time. no one cared either, just wanting to see the boy post every few days.

"hi," jimin waved also with the usual big smile, "he didn't really have to force me. we hang out off camera too." considering they were roommates, it was far from a lie. "what are we doing today taetae."

the nickname had the younger smiling more, cheeks moving up and eyes squinting. "today we are painting for you guys. we'll be following a tutorial but like bob has said before," taehyung paused to look at the male beside him, "this is our world we're creating."

jimin was nodding along, "exactly, no copying. i choose where my clouds live." jimin said. this wasn't their first time painting while watching tutorials, the tips already engraved in their minds to make their paintings even better each time.

this may have been why the boys were well-liked on the internet, the fact that everything they did wasn't just for views. the friends did these things in their free time when a camera wasn't recording every bit of it, they were genuine and that attitude seemed to be received well by the viewers. "i think the last bob ross tutorial we did was maybe a month or so ago?" taehyung said, to no one in particular while jimin started to get their colors ready on the plastic template between them.

"we'll say a few months," taehyung said, "and you guys really wanted another so here it is."

"i hope i don't fuck up the phthalo blue again." jimin was reliving the winter night moment a while back, the way he couldn't smooth the colors together and ended up with an angry mess in the middle. taehyungs looked like a winter wonderland while his resembled more of an aggressive tornado that couldn't commit to a single shape.

there was a small smile on taehyungs face, the tip of his brush dipping into the blue color they've used so many times before. "it's gonna look good, eighth times the charm." he said.

"i don't think that's the proper saying." jimin questioned it. he leaned forward to smack the spacebar on the laptop, starting the tutorial and letting bobs soothing voice guide them. "whatever, do you consider yourself an artist?" taehyung asked as they started to follow what their virtual instructor was going.

it was always the same, starting off somewhat simple until there was suddenly eighty trees, a waterfall, and a flock of birds that appeared from gorgeously fluffed clouds. jimin swiped his brush side to side and tried to make his blue sky look smooth too. he shrugged, "i like to think so, my grandfather was." he said. "the man had a gorgeous stroke."

taehyung wanted to smile and compliment it, glancing over with the best intentions until his friend kept talking. "that's how he died too."

only bob ross's voice was heard for a moment, considering taehyung didn't have a response for that and jimin was still blending the blue with the white to make a fade.

"i'm keeping that in. views." taehyung finally said. the two giggled and then realized that they were behind in their art.

jimin smacked the spacebar again, "bro stop pausing it." he said to his friend. taehyung glared at him and then down at his shit show of a painting, the mountain looking more like an actual shit. "i cant keep up." he whined.

"we can't spend ten hours on this again." jimin was getting agitated now, never understanding how people chose to draw or paint when they needed to relax. everything about this activity only screaming stress and anxiety to him. "i have plans later too, i told you this." he added.

"i'm your only friend."

their roommate walked out just then, staring over at the two younger ones with swollen eyes from sleep and almost disappearing under the hoodie he wore. jimin pointed at the older and looked at taehyung, as if asking who that was and why he wasn't considered a friend.

taehyung blinked, "yoongi hyung is family. not friend." he said.

the eldest of the three seemed to be pleased with that answer, a little smile gracing his lips and then continuing on to find something in the fridge. "hyung, what do you think?" jimin held up his canvas so far so yoongi could see from the kitchen.

"that's a nice blue." he said before cutting off his own words with the orange juice bottle. jimin looked between the paint and his hyung and soon he was smiling again with the little seed of pride blooming in his chest as the compliment. "thanks." he said it cutely while reaching for his brush again.

they kept talking and giggling and sometimes glancing over at the others to see how well they were doing and that only ignited another eruption of giggles. yoongi even joined, but he sat on the other side of the camera to watch from behind and occasionally smile down at his bowl of cereal because his roommates were
ridiculous sometimes.

"well i don't think there's much left to say." taehyung said, holding up his canvas so the camera could see the finished product. jimin did the same, and somehow the two boys managed to paint the same tutorial and make that evident but also make each look so vastly different. "clearly i won." jimin said. "look at my tree. he's vibin so hard right now."

yoongi stood and walked around to stand behind the two chairs, "i won." he dropped the napkin in front of them with stream august d written across in blocky hand writing.

the two boys seemed to never laugh enough, especially when the eldest walked away and jimin held up the napkin to the camera. "you heard it here first!" taehyung said, "stream august d and we'll see you next time, love you all so much!" he yelled at the camera with a smile too.

the stopped filming after that, and it probably wouldn't be edited for another day or so since the older was simply lazy at the moment. taehyung fell back in the chair and closed his eyes, feeling tired but having no motivation to do anything about it like nap.

jimin was the opposite, already standing and collecting his things to head out. he kept checking his phone lockscreen and swiping away the text messages after reading them. "oh so you actually meant that you were leaving right now." taehyung blinked up at his friend.

"dude. i don't lie." jimin said, throwing his backpack over his shoulder and waving, "i'll text you if i'll be home for dinner or not!" he yelled on his way to the door of their apartment, not even waiting for a response as it slammed.

he wouldn't be back for dinner. taehyung knew this and so did yoongi, which is why the eldest remained quiet and grabbed his keys off the counter. "come on." yoongi said, his head jerking towards the front door, "how's taco bell sound?"

the smile that broke out on taehyungs face seemed to light up their immediate area, a smaller one even appearing on his hyungs lips. "can we get guac." taehyung asked once he jumped up from the kitchen chair and shoved his feet into a pair of converse. the backs of the shoes bent and he didn't even bother to tie the laces as they walked down the hall.

yoongi scoffed, "of fucking course we're getting guac." then he threw his arm over the youngers shoulder, and they walked together to fill their bellies with a good meal.
