the lights were off and curtains open, despite the dark sky not letting any light in. it was nice to see the stars, their subtle shine visible if they looked close enough from their spot on the bed. except, there wasn't much attention spent on the stars outside ⏤ not when something so perfect was sitting right there.
"this is pretty." taehyung whispered, fingers messing with the bracelet wrapped around the youngers wrist. jungkook had his arm around the boys waist, keeping him close and finding it hard to keep his lips off that tan skin.
it had taehyung giggling occasionally, "that tickles." he said now, pushing jungkooks head away from continuing to kiss his neck.
"youre boring." jungkook whined, but he did as he was told, leaving his head to rest on taehyungs chest now. "you can have it." he was referring to his bracelet now, which the older was still playing with.
taehyung shook his head. "its pretty on you." he corrected himself.
"and you look pretty on me." jungkook said, rolling onto his back and pulling the older with him to lay on his chest now. it had taehyung's cheeks pink and face hiding against the ravenette's t-shirt. "s-stop that." he mumbled against the fabric.
"dont get shy now." jungkook chuckled, "i need you as bold as you were earlier at the party, dancing around like that." he said, knowing very well his words wouldnt help with lessening the blush on the boys cheeks.
it was very late at night, an ungodly hour that should have put the boys to sleep already. that seemed hard to do when they were so far away in separate apartments. it was only a matter of time before jungkook was knocking lightly on the apartment door he just left from about an hour ago, and even less time to be in bed with the pretty brunette.
"we can get matching bracelets." jungkook said, still wanting to give his to the other, knowing very well that taehyung liked it.
taehyung however realized it was hard to compliment the younger, since he always seemed to throw it back somehow rather then simply accepting it. "like friendship bracelets." taehyung said.
"yeah sure." jungkook shrugged and then took off his bracelet, "see if it fits and then we'll know what size you are."
"or we could just get adjustable ones." taehyung suggested, but he still put on the bracelet anyways, holding out his arm after to see it on his wrist and how it fit. jungkook wasnt planning on asking for it back, he didnt mind if taehyung kept it. he also wasnt planning on getting matching friendship bracelets either.
jungkook nodded, "thats true too." he said.
the two fell back into a comfortable silence, laying together and wondering when sleep would come. their dreams would have to wait for a moment longer, both too occupied with the other to say a momentary goodbye just yet.
"did you have a good time tonight?" taehyung asked in a whisper. he was laying against jungkooks chest, listening to the steady heartbeat like a lullaby.
the younger nodded again, " i did. did you?" he asked, feeling taehyung nod his head before he heard anything verbal. "are you going to stay tonight?" taehyung asked instead, already changing subjects to what was on his mind.
"if you want that." jungkook said.
he was staying. he made that up in his mind already.
there was only a few things that could make the ravenette leave ⏤ the biggest being if he simply wasnt wanted around. all jungkook needed was clear signals, he needed the signs that he was wanted here and this wasn't something fake. jungkook had already thought of it, going home and walking into his apartment tonight. the only thing he'd see is that taehyung was not there.
the sun came up too soon, their eyelids fluttering open and starting their day somewhat late. it was well past noon, considering how late they stayed up talking and laying together.
at some point jungkook did have to go, his own needs calling to him to get done today. "why do hamsters have to eat." jungkook mumbled to himself once he was heading out of the apartment building. it was cold, making the male tug his hoodie further over his head and then his mask coming up over his nose.
the clouds were grey and snow may come soon, considering the end of fall and beginning of winter as thanksgiving got closer once spooky season finished up. it was all ending the year so fast, reminding jungkook of things he had to do and places he needed to be on certain holidays and events. most of it made him want to stay in bed, which is probably where he'd end up later on.
music moved his feet while he walked on home, blocking out the thoughts in his mind and drowning him in beats instead of responsibilities. jungkook only took out his headphones once he was inside his own apartment, heading straight for his office and flipping on the light.
toast was on his wheel, freezing once the light turned on and his dad stared at him. jungkook rose an eyebrow, "you good over there?" he said to the little guy.
a second later he was running again, barely paying any mind to the ravenette as he put fresh food in the small ceramic dish. "i need to teach you to feed yourself." jungkook said.
he watched the pet run for a little bit more before sitting in his food dish and eating from it. jungkook walked to sit in his chair and spin to face his computer monitors, seeing the screens light up and remind him of all the editing he needed to get done.
only some was, because it didnt take long for the males eyes to hurt and stomach to grumble. the laziness stayed though, keeping jungkook in his seat and staring at the ceiling with no will to really do anything at all. he could hear toast running around his enclosure from behind him, almost comforting knowing something was there keeping him from being alone. jungkook pulled out his phone, scrolling through feeds and wasting time with random posts and too many likes on some peoples profiles.
he got lost ⏤ lost in likes and pretty brown eyes and sweet smiles.
