  ✥Chapter 14: The Mysterious Epidemic ✥  

"Everyone move over to your partners, we will be have a test tomorrow and I will check your progress tomorrow as well" everyone gets up and conversation begins. I grab my bookbag and get up from my chair, slightly shaking. "Y/n." I jump and look, seeing Januis, "What do you want?" 

"Woah. I didn't know you was so moody today."

 "（♯▼皿▼）Shut up before I shove this pencil in your-" 

"Y/n is everything alright?" I hear Adrien. He was right beside me.

 "Everything's alright Adrien. Its n-nothing.(=^_^=)"

 "Are you sure? You look a bit pale(・・)?" I look at my hands, seeing the slight discoloration. 

"I said I'm fine. I'll be there" I reference, he nods and eyes Januis, "I just noticed you're the new guy here, its nice to meet you, I'm Adrien" he holds his hand out. Januis looks at his hand for a second or two, then shakes it.

 "Nice seeing ya, Playboy" I hold in a laugh.

 Adrien shakes it off in a playful way and goes back to his seat. Januis goes back to me, I wonder why he has sunglasses on all the time. "Listen, sorry for what happened yesterday, I was only joking with you"  I scoff, "That's what you say. I hurt my side and thanks to you I was shamed for 60 extra seconds!"  

"Okay your highness, I sincerely apologize for my unforgettable behavior, shaming you in front of 20 people because of your bandaged waist(ˇ⊖ˇ)"

 I smirk, "Fine, I forgive you-halfway." I walk off, I could feel him giving off a smirk from behind. I sat beside Adrien, "He's kinda funny" 

"Anyway, did you bring the rose?" I ask, taking out my papers and pencil. Adrien took out two crimson red roses out of his satchel, "Why do we need two?" he hands one to me. 

"Well every girl should have a rose in her hand at one point-and you can study it better as well!" he suddenly adds in. I looked at the big red rose in wonder, it was gorgeous. I never seen a rose before, Hidelington never has roses. I only seen pictures of different flowers recently on my phone, but it was the only one I had my eye on. I think the rose is starting to become my favorite flower.  Small water droplets were still on it. I delicately cradled the soft velvety petals. It smelled so nice as well! Like a sweet odor you couldn't get enough of.

Adrien pov

I gave you guys a different choice of blushing if you got some melanin in you ;)

Y/n was exploring every part of the rose. It was like she never seen one before, her cheeks was a slight rose color/she had a slight smile the whole time she was caressing the rose (<basically if you aint white huney). 

I never seen a person so gentle with something-"You never seen it before have you?" it seems I took her out of her trance, "No. Where I live we never have beautiful flowers like these. Not as beautiful as this....- So, the rose closes its petals at night due to no sunlight...." she changes the subject quickly, gently placing the rose down, and started writing, "Do you want to add anything?" she looks at me, I nod as she passed the paper and pencil to me. She wrote a lot down, way more than she told me- and she never seen a rose before?! 

"Did you Google all of this?"

 "No why?._."

 "....nevermind. It seems we're almost finished, I just need to add how the reaction benefits the rose." "Well I can try and sketch a picture of the rose while you do that" I nod.

Your pov

I picked up the rose, examining it, and started to draw some lines, placing it down. I was concentrated into the sketch as well. A hand slammed down on my paper, as a shadow cast over me, "Chloe what is wrong with you?" Adrien asks. 

"I hear bad girl over here has all the guys wanting her. Is it?" 

"Um....what?" y/n raises an eyebrow.

"You heard me! I heard all of them talking about you and you did something to make them to! Listen here, everyone talks about me! I own this school, I own everyone! I'm the queen bee in this (bloop)!!!" I never heard Chloe say words like that before.

"What's that supposed to mean?" y/n asks again.

 "My father is the mayor of this town, therefore I  can kick you out of here if I want to or not!" Chloe starts again. They went back and forth.

"You're not my mom, Barbie."

 "Chloe you better sit down before y/n grab them extensions this time!" Alya yells. 

"Grrr! Listen here, stay away from my Adrien! You only work with him as partners, no fri-" 

"Are you done yet? Ya lost me just then" 

"OOOOOOHHHH" the whole class started to listen in on the argument

"Just don't stay away from him! He's mine you hear? MINE-" "Chloe I'm not yours." 

"WHAT?! Adrikins I think you've been spending too much time with this, this thing" 

"*gasps*" 

Adrien stood up, "Chloe I had it enough with you! Why do you have to bully everyone to make yourself feel good?! Y/n never did anything to you, you was the one who almost started a fight for a seat that doesn't have your name on it. I'd rather be with y/n than  a snobbish person like you!"

 "But....Adrikins-" "And I'm not your 'Adrikins' either!" the bell rung before the situation escalated any further. Everyone started to pack their things and leave quickly so they wouldn't be late for their next class,  Sabrina held Chloe's bags for her as Chloe ran out of the class crying-least I think she was. 

Adrien and I were the only ones left, I grabbed my bag up, "Y/n, I'm sorry I embarrassed you like that." 

"You didn't." I stood up. My knees suddenly gave out, I almost tripped. "Y/n I think you need to go to the nurse. You're sweating, and pale-again" "Adrien I'm-" "You're not fine. Come on" he interlocks his arm with mine, leading me out of the classroom.

T H E  N U R S E S  O F F I C E 

I sat in the nurses office with Adrien with me. 

I sat in the nurses office with Adrien with me as the late bell rang, "You're late because of me. Great. Isn't your father going to be mad at you?" 

"My next teacher doesn't count tardies thankfully." 

"I still feel bad I made you late. I told you I don't need to be here!" 

"You really don't like it when people try to help you huh?" "I can help myself as long as I have two arms and two legs thank you very much!" I sigh. Looking around as the full lobby. There's so many people here...

 "....I never seen the nurse's office so full before. Seems like flu season came in early."

 "Flu season?" "Yeah the time when everyone gets sick" "Oh." I look around, I saw people with the same symptoms as me kind of: paleness, sweating, coughing, sniffing, light headed. A student walked out as an adult walked out with him, 

"So many early dismissals today" a lady from the  front office came in, giving the nurse a paper, "We have 2 students that just passed out in gym, it could be dehydration, they have pale skin and high temp." she walks out. 

"What is going on today?!" I whisper. I look at everyone's necks, I couldn't see them well, but caught eye of someone laying over in their chair, I looked closely, seeing two small punctures. "I'm not sure it seems like a snake bite" I hear the nurse. "Adrien, look at that girl's neck over there, is there any type of bite there?" I ask, he looks quickly, he nods, "Swollen and red, seems irritated" he whispers. 

"Could she have been attacked by the mysterious serial killer?" "I'm not sure. I'm getting creeped out now." 

The TV was turned on by one of the ladies from the front office, the news was on, 

"According to police, many pools of blood have been found on the west side of the city's country side, this was located in La Grande Grass Hills. According to witnesses, many sounds were heard as if a fight was going on, could this be our miraculous heroes fighting the mysterious killer? George on to you...." 

The scene switched to the area I was fighting in! "Yes, Claire I'm right here in the scene of the investigation live, where many puddles of blood where found. The blood was found here on the ground, and on parts of a near by tree, there is also a powdery, black-greyish substance that was in the blood as well. There is currently no information on the DNA, but so far 2 of the missing people have been confirmed dead"

I gulped. I had to control myself now or it'll make it look like I killed these people, the image still frightened me. It usually doesn't which made things more weird, maybe its that I haven't fought vampires in a long time.

 I thought I was ready and I'm not. I may have to train more. "Y/n?" a hand was on my forehead, "I think I need some air." I suddenly get up and run out, "Y/n wait!"

I sat outside on the stairs of the high school, catching my breath, the fall breeze felt amazing on my skin. I look across the streets as cars passed by. The images burned in the back of my head-the blood of the innocent, ashes of the fallen, then this initiation, to think that I'm the next in line for all this, I don't think I can do this job right-I'm not sure if I can handle this. 

I felt my phone rumble, I yanked it out, seeing Lana's number, "Why are you calling m-me in class? *sniff*"

 "Why does it sound like you're crying?! I heard about you in the office! Are you hurt-are you sick?!"

 "N-No! I'm-"

 "Say 'I'm fine' one more time! I heard about a lot of people are in the office! A girl even passed out during class in here! They're thinking about having to have the school checked. Possible influenza outbreak."

 "I don't think its that-" "Whats wrong?" "*Sigh* I just felt a lot of pressure on me, I'm a little pale and sweating a bit. I don't have the other symptoms."

 "Lana! Off the phone! ....hold on: Sorry!" a little bit of background noises was heard a few seconds before she got on the phone again. "...Listen where are you?" 

"I'm on the steps outside wh-" the phone hung up.

 "We're here!" Lana yells slightly. I turn around as Lana slipped down the stairs, landed next to me with no comment, next thing you know Chase was on the other side of me, "No one bit you right?" 

"Her fever's going down at least." 

"You both gets on my nerves sometimes" 

"Sometimes?" "*Sigh*" 

Anyway sorry I took so long mis gatas/os. Also you probably noticed I unpublished some books including the MLB S2 episodes. I had to un publish it because its a total wreck. It will be re published soon!
