Clip squinted in the darkness, she could faintly see a streak of soft yellow light, reveal dust particles in the air.

The Altulis felt Slug press against her, reassuring her that he was still with her, worried that he had ran off.

She stood defensively as a dragon appeared, stepping into the light. Their scales shared the same color palette of a dim sunset. Her sharp features fading into a gray.

" Are you Dawn? " Clip narrowed her eyes, not daring to take a step closer to the dragon.

" Bold question of you to ask. How do you know you deserve to have my name on your mouth? " Dawn narrowed her eyes in response to Clip's defensiveness as she began to circle the group.

Clip could barely see the dragon as they stepped out of the light, only a faint outline of their scales.

Clip didn't ease, taking the tone of challenge in the dragons voice. " A name is a name. It doesn't matter who speaks of it. I'll probably forget it as soon as I leave. " Clip raised her head, keeping a steady eye on the dragon.

" So you assume my name is one worth forgetting? " A light teasing snarl rang in their voice.

" I'm not here for a fight, we just want some information. If you don't want to tell me your name so be it. Be mysterious. But I came here for something and I will get it. " Clip spat, growing impatient.

Clip could see the dragon grin as they stepped back into the light. Clip painfully noticed how much bigger this dragon was.

" My name is Dawn. I lead a group of hybrid outcasts. What is it you seek? " Dawn tilted her head, a hint of teasing still rang in their voice.

" I heard a group of dragons leaving this area, leaving the continent entirely. " Clip flicked her tail, still annoyed by Dawn.

Dawn let out a sigh, as if she was remembering things. " They were a group of my hybrids. A allwing, an animus to be exact, led them- " Dawn paused, narrowing her eyes distrustfully at the group. " Why do you seek them? "

" We want to find a new continent as we are not welcome here, but did they make it? What happened, why did they leave? " Clip urged.

Dawn flicked her tongue and continued speaking. " His name was... Avis. " they mumbled.

" Avis didn't want to keep fighting for freedom, and some of the hybrids agreed, and so they left with him, and all the ones who stayed behind.. "

" Are the ones here? " Pavo tilted his head, finished Dawn's sentence as he stepped out from behind Clip.

Dawn's eyes widened as she saw Pavo. Was that surprise? " I didn't know.. " She breathed before stopping herself from continuing.

" Yes. Some of them wish they went with, others think of them as cowards. Avis was never a coward.. At least I thought. " Dawn muttered, avoiding eye contact with Pavo.

" Did they make it to the other continent safely? " Clip urged, ignoring Dawn's shock.

" No one knows for sure but. They did.   Avis was with them." Dawn raised her head, almost ignoring Pavo entirely.

" Do you have a map? " Clip asked.

" No.. but I know someone who does. Have you heard of.. Escarabajo? "
