Part 39
More logicality and of course our bois Ashton and cheeky lil Jaxon, I hope you'll enjoy.
Patton walked into school, pushing his way through the crowd toward his boyfriend's locker. He spotted him down the hall and waved, calling out. "Logan!"
He watched from distance as said male closed his locker and walked away down the hall in the opposite direction.
He didn't hear me... Patton frowned. But why didn't he wait for me like always? He thought for a moment before shrugging. Maybe he has an important test. He did look a bit stressed. He turned down the hall with his own locker taking out his phone and going to his and Logan's conversation.
Patton: Morning Logan! Why didn't you wait for me?
Patton: I'm not mad just curious.
He locked the phone, slipping it back in his pocket.
"Hey Patton!" Roman greeted happily when he reached their neighboring lockers. "Good morning."
"Good morning Roman." Patton smiled, opening his locker and starting to switch out his books.
"Logan isn't with you?" His friend then asked looking around in confusion.
"Nope, He was in a rush." Patton replied closing his locker again. "You seem extra chipper today."
Roman nodded before smiling while letting out a small chuckle. "Let's just say I have something that makes coming to school a hell of a lot better."
"Something or someone?" Patton raised a brow at him.
Roman shook his head his smile not faltering. "Let's get to class." He started walking away, Patton following.
-&-
Third period had now ended and Patton checked his phone, but there was no reply from Logan.
He typed another message.
Patton: Logan are you there? I haven't seen you all day.
He then locked it again putting it away, feeling an uneasy knot form in the pit of his stomach.
-&-
Patton worried a bit since Logan hadn't shown up to honors English, even though he did definitely see him down the hall earlier. Logan was never the type to skip class... especially not this one.
Patton: Logan where are you? Class is starting.
Patton: Are you okay? You aren't sick are you?
Patton: Please answer me, I'm worried. 😞
"Mr. Sanders, please put you phone away during my class." Mr. Conti then scolded him.
"Sorry sir." The small boy muttered, putting the device away again.
"Just don't do it again, or I'll have to take it." He replied before going back to teaching.
Patton sat back in his chair still not able to pay attention to the lecture since his head was reeling.
-&-
Patton walked into the library during lunch and sat at their normal table, but Logan wasn't there.
Patton: Where are you?
Patton: Are you coming to lunch?
He rested his chin in the palm of his hand, deciding to wait for a few minutes. When he didn't show up, or even text back Patton actually felt a bit of irritation spark in him. If he's gonna blow me off, he should at least tell me why. He pouted, before also feeling worry spark deep inside him. Where is he?
He abandoned his food, standing up to go look for him. He left the library stopping by the lunch room, but not seeing him anywhere in sight there, so he decided to wander the halls, peering into classrooms as he passed. What if he's with someone else... but who? And why? Unwanted thoughts quickly went through his mind and he shook his head to get rid of them. Patton don't be ridiculous, don't jump to conclusions...
As he was wandering he heard voices coming from a hallway and turned down to see a group of people standing there. Patton was slightly surprised, Logan was with them. He'd never seen him hang around them before. He felt his anger return. So he can stand and talk to them, but he ignores his boyfriend all day long? He started to approach them, starting to hear their conversation more clearly.
"Listen nerd, it's just not right, you're messin' with the statuesque of things, understand?" A jock spoke directly to Logan, a scowl seeming to be permanently formed on his expression.
"Yeah," a girl I'm the group spoke up. "We've already warned you, so what's up?"
"Maybe vocal threats aren't enough." A bigger jock suggested before moving in front of Logan and cracking the knuckles on one of his fists.
Patton suddenly began to understand part of the situation and ran up to the group standing directly in front of Logan and holding his arms out slightly to keep him behind him. "Wait! Wait! What are you guys doing? Why are you trying to hurt him??" He asked, causing everyone to freeze.
"Patton, What are you doing here?" Logan asked seeming surprised, and worried, by his sudden appearance.
"Speak of the devil." Another girl crossed her arms, glaring at the two males.
"Hey, it's good he showed up, maybe he'll actually answer our questions." The first jock spoke up. "So Patton are the rumors true?"
"What rumors?" Patton asked once again feeling oblivious to what was going on.
"That you and this... thing, are dating." He asked nodding in Logan's direction.
Patton looked back at Logan, who was holding his head down to the floor, before looking back to the small crowd. "Yeah, we are, so what?"
"So What?" The other jock scoffed in disbelief. "Patton he's a freak, a looser, he and you don't mix."
"Who says?" Patton glared at him. "And he's not a freak, Nothing is wrong with him, or us being together."
"Please of course there's something wrong with it." A girl laughed. "You're popular, you're liked, he's not. Plus you can afford anything you may want, this freak can probably hardly afford decent clothes. You guys live in completely different worlds. Worlds that shouldn't meet, it's disgusting, you should dump this loser."
"Sorry, but it's not gonna happen." Patton glared, standing his ground.
"Oh enough talk, let's just force 'em apart, trust me I can be persuasive. The bigger jock approached them threateningly again.
"Woah dude no we can't hurt Patton, the school would hate us." His friend stopped him.
"You guys are the disgusting ones, you make me sick." Patton told them, feeling this to be on of the only times he's had to be unkind to people in his life. He wanted nothing more to get out of the situation. "Come on Logan." He grabbed his boyfriend's had and dragged him away from the group twisting down some halls before they were far away. "Seriously who the hell do they think they are telling us to break up, why do t they stay in their own business for once?" Patton muttered.
"Maybe we should..." Logan trailed off so quietly Patton almost didn't hear.
"What?" Patton asked in disbelief. "Maybe we should what?"
"Break up." Logan stated emotionlessly.
Patton was shocked by his words, feeling speechless for a moment. "Wha- What are you saying? You're kidding right?"
"Not really..." Logan still didn't show any emotion and didn't look him in the eyes.
"Logan!" Patton shouted half in anger, half in fear. "Stop it don't say that!"
"But I told you I wasn't kidding." Logan sounded unbothered yet miserable at the same time. "It seems like everyone else would be a lot happier if we weren't together."
"Who gives a damn about everyone else!!" Patton yelled. "This is about our happiness, not theirs!"
"What's the point, statistically high school relationships don't last anyway. Let's not prolong the inevitable." Logan started.
"Logan What the hell??" Patton asked. "Why are you letting them get to you? They don't matter we-"
Logan cut him off, raising his voice finally, "We are complete opposites Patton. Like I said, we may as well not prolong the inevitable. There is no way this could possible last very long...they're right. There is no logical reason why we should be together! There's no logical reason why you should even have any strong feelings for someone like me!"
"But I do!" Patton shouted stepping toward him and taking his face in his hands. He met his eyes, running his thumbs gently across the others skin, his voice quiet as he sounded like he was still slightly choked up. "I do like you... I like you more than I've ever liked anyone in my life, I've never experienced these feelings before, and I don't know about you , but I don't want to give up on them... ever!"
Logan sighed looking down and away from him. "I don't think you know me very well... I can't give you what you want Patton... you need to find someone better for you..."
"I don't want to find someone better!" Patton shouted starting to full on cry now. Logan looked back down at him in surprise. "There is no one better! I don't know why you think so badly of yourself Logan... when you look in the mirror how much of yourself do you really see? I think I know... you see a dysfunctional brainiac who doesn't understand emotion, and can't keep relationships to save his life, because there must be something wrong with him, right? You see what they want you to see, who they try and deem you to be." He took in a sharp breath in trying, but failing to control his crying. "But you know what I see when I look at you? I see the only person in this whole world who ever gave a damn about me... I see the boy who always asks if I'm okay, asks what I need, what I want. The one who always worries about me. I see the person who never wanted anything from me besides me. You Logan... you're the one who singlehandedly kept me form breaking, don't you understand that? I never asked you for anything and yet you gave me the only thing I ever really wanted... to be cared for... to always have someone when I need them, for any reason. I see the bestest friend I have ever had, and the one I want to stay with forever... I see the one person I never want to give up on... no matter what... b-because I..." Patton trailed off swallowing a lump in his throat. "I love you Logan... I love you so much."
Logan widened his eyes at his confession slightly. He had never said he loved him before, he stared at his tear filled eyes in disbelief. He then suddenly took Patton in his arms, not able to keep it up anymore, pulling him closer, and kissing him. He didn't want to be away from him anymore, he didn't want to hurt.
The kiss was long and loving, and Patton completely melted into it letting his hands slide around his partner's neck and into his hair.
After a small amount of time Logan pulled away breathlessly. He opened his eyes, keeping Patton close. "I love you too Patton." He held him close. "I'm sorry. I never doubted you, I only failed to find confidence in myself. You are right I shouldn't let them get to me. Our love is something precious that I've never experienced before, and it frightens me at times, but I'll try my best to never not treasure it again."
"Just never suggest breaking up ever again." Patton whined, burying his head back into his boyfriend's chest, wanting to be surrounded by his sent and warmth. "Not unless you really want it for you, not anyone else."
Logan smiled a bit at his cuteness. "I won't. And I doubt it will ever even happen for me. I don't think I can ever stop loving you Patton..."
"I won't ever stop loving you either Logan." Patton stated sweetly, wrapping his arms around him a little tighter. "And don't ever ignore my texts again either."
Logan let out a small chuckle at that. "Alright I promise."
-&-
Ashton sat next to Jaxon on the couch, as he was watching tv, and faced him, like he wanted to talk about something.
Jaxon looked over at him raising a brow. "Yes Ashton?"
"I was just thinking, since you came up with the oh so genius idea to pretend we are dating for your landlord, we need to be a bit more prepared if anything were to happen, so no one is suspicious." He sounded annoyed by the concept.
Jaxon let out a small laugh that almost sounded more like an exhale of air, before sitting up and turning off the tv. "Okay..." he faced him suddenly smirking. "As ecstatic as you sound about the whole thing, what exactly do you mean? Are you saying we should practice certain things, because god, you should really take me out to dinner first."
"What??" Ashton asked in shock staring at him like he was insane. "No you godamn pervert!" He punched his arm a little harder than he meant. "I mean we should get to know each other better. If we are so called "dating" we should at least know a fair amount about each other right. We may be living together, but that doesn't change the fact that we don't actually know much."
Jaxon rubbed his sore arm. "Alright alright you've convinced me. Why don't we play a game or something to make it more fun, and to lessen the possibility of not telling the whole truth since there will obviously be rules."
"I'm down." Ashton shrugged. "What game?"
"Naturally, truth or dare." The older male suggested.
"With two people, boring." Ashton crossed his arms "plus people always end up refusing to participate if it's too bad anyway."
"Okay then how about truth or dare with a twist. Obviously you have to do whatever your dared and answer truthfully what your told, but instead you are able to just deny a truth or a dare, but if you do you have to take off an item of clothing." Jaxon explained. "Interesting enough for you?"
Ashton was once again annoyed by the other's cheekiness, he let his voice take on a confident tone. "Strip truth or dare huh? I've played it dozens of times, piece of cake, and definitely nothing new."
"Hmmm fine then how about." Jaxon thought for a moment. "Fine, strip truth or dare, but when you have to strip, you can still choose what you want to take off, but the other person has to take it off for you."
"You really are a pervert." Ashton muttered.
"What's the matter, can't handle it?" The taller male then challenged.
"No, whatever let's just play." The younger sighed.
"Okay you go first." Jaxon smiled at him.
"Truth or dare?" He then asked.
"Hmm I'm not motivated to get up right now soo... truth." Jaxon replied.
"Hm... are you a virgin?" He asked wanting to make him feel uncomfortable for once.
"Yeesh you don't waste time do you?" Jaxon asked shuffling a bit awkwardly. "No, But I've only slept with people who I dated for a somewhat long period of time, I don't do one night stands, not that I judge anyone else's sexual tendencies... it's just not for me."
"Fair, your turn." Ashton gestured toward him.
"Truth or dare?" Jaxon asked growing eager once again.
"Truth." The other stated nonchalantly.
"Are you a virgin?" The older then asked raising his brow.
Ashton sighed. I should have known that question would come back and bite me in the ass. "No, I'm not." He then paused. "Although just to avoid any possible misconception if you ever hear anything about me, I should probably tell you something else... If you'd ask anyone from basically any of my old schools they'd say I slept with any guy who asked. That's not true of course, but I've always had an experience with bad rumors following me everywhere I go. Truth is I've slept with guys a few times, but it was never anything extreme."
"I believe you, and I'm sorry that people said those things about you." Jaxon frowned. "Teenagers are really fucked up."
"I've learned to live with it, it's not like they can prove anything." Ashton shrugged. "Are you motivated to get up yet?"
"Not quite, Truth again." Jaxon replied. "I promise I'll do dare next time."
"Okay." Ashton thought for a moment. "Why don't you get along with your parents? You said they ignore you."
"Oh, that." Jaxon tried to let a bittersweet smile stretch across his expression, but it didn't quite stay. He looked down, pulling at a stray thread on the couch cushion. "You probably already know how much pressure they put on Patton, especially my dad. They did the exact same thing to me, actually maybe a bit worse, but I was always really stubborn and fought back. I was the first born son and my dad wanted me to grow up good, with perfect grades and his same views, he wanted to sculpt me into his perfect image, controlling every aspect of my life to fit his desire, and then he wanted me to do what he had done with his father and take over the company."
"Patton did tell me about your dad being like that..." Ashton nodded.
"Yeah well I didn't want that, and I showed it. I would always get the best grades I could without pressuring myself to death, but that wasn't good enough for him. I never joined the clubs he approved of and joined my own, and I definitely never listened when he told me who I could and couldn't hang out with. Then, after I graduated and made a decision to be an art major, things really turned." Jax took on a rare somber look. "He called me a disgrace to the family name, and said as long as I followed this path I had no part in being a part of his life. He told me he'd still send me money because damn it all of anyone found out he had a son who was poor and didn't go to college, but other than that he keeps as little contact as possible. Honesty, giving money was all they ever did for me..."
"I'm sorry, if I were you I would have moved as far a way as possible too..." Ashton stated. "They were completely unfair to you."
"Yeah well I had Patton at least." Jaxon smiled. "Anyway thats enough about that let's continue. Truth or dare?"
"You did two so I feel entitled to another truth." Ashton stated.
"Okay...hm." He suddenly looked at him before moving his gaze away again. "Okay the question kinda has multiple parts, three parts, but you have to answer them all."
"That sounds like cheating, but whatever, shoot." Ash replied curious about the others behavior.
"Did you really have feelings for my brother?" The taller asked.
"Uh-" Ashton seemed taken aback. "Yeah..."
"Were you like..." Jax paused, "in love with him?"
Ashton blushed a little before letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding in. "I mean I definitely felt very strongly about him, stronger than I had ever felt for anyone before, so yeah maybe I was in love, a little...But he's with Logan and they're happy, so I'm not gonna do anything to change that."
Jaxon nodded slowly. "Are... are you still in love with him?"
"I'm using a skip, I'm not answering that." Ashton stated quickly. He then looked up to him scowling slightly before holding out his arms. "Just take off the flannel." He referred the the piece of loose clothing he wore over his t-shirt."
Jaxon seemed a little disappointed by not getting a response but then smiled at the others punishment, leaning a bit closer so he could remove the other's item of clothing. "You aren't blushing cause of me are you?"
"Shut up, you wish." Ashton frowned before scooting a bit away when he had finished. "Truth or dare?"
"I said I'd do dare so dare." Jaxon stayed true to his word.
Ashton smile a bit evilly. "I dare you to drink an entire shot of sriracha sauce."
"Ugh no, pass I can't do food that spicy..." Jaxon pouted a bit. "Sweater. It's not like I don't have another layer...." he muttered the last part.
Ashton smiled at his victory. "Nice, now I know your weakness." He then somewhat hesitantly moved over to the other male, tentatively grabbing the bottom of his sweater and pulling it off over his head. He then threw it to the floor, smiled confidently to hide the fact that he was actually a little embarrassed. "Next."
"Truth or dare?" Jaxon stated casually.
"Dare." Ashton stated skeptically.
"Hm..." the older pondered. "I dare you to drink milk and pickle juice mixed together."
"Ew." Ashton grimaced at the thought.
"You gonna skip?" He challenged.
"No." Ashton stated before getting off the couch and walking directly behind into the open kitchen area of the apartment. Jaxon followed suit and watched as he got out a cup before opening the fridge and getting the two aberrant ingredients. He then slowly poured them together with a scowl. "Well here we go."
"Bottoms up." Jaxon anxiously waited resting his chin in the palms of his hands, his elbows resting on the kitchen island as he watched.
Ashton decided to just get it over with and chucked the mixture as fast as he could, wincing as he finished and pulled the cup away from his lips.
"How was it?" Jax asked.
"Disgusting, but..." he looked down to the bottom of the cup. "Surprisingly not the worst tasting thing I ever drank."
Jaxon laughed before turning around and sitting back on the couch. "Okay your turn for revenge."
Ashton followed. "Truth or dare?"
"Truth." Jax chimed.
"Do you have feelings for anyone right now?" Ashton asked sitting back down.
"Umm..." The taller male looked around a bit slowly rocking back and forth like he suddenly got anxious. "I don't know..."
"What do you mean you don't know?" Ashton asked in slight annoyance.
"I don't know means, I don't know...." Jaxon's eyes suddenly flicked up to meet his. "Yet..."
"Okay I guess that's and answer... sort of..." the younger complied feeling lost.
"Truth or dare?" Jaxon stated quickly.
"Truth."
"Okay you found out what my weakness is, so what's yours?" Jaxon asked.
"I'm not telling you that!" Ashton replied. "Do I look stupid to you?"
"Alright." Jax shrugged nonchalantly. "Then pick and item of clothing, you seem to be running out of appropriate options." He looked him up and down.
Ashton glared at him, and cursed himself for not wearing socks or something. "Just take of my shirt you pervert."
"You sure aren't shy are you?" Jaxon teased.
"Stop talking." Ashton continuer his hard glare at him. "Just do it."
Jaxon started laughing before moving closer to him on the couch so they were directly in front of each other. He smirked at Ashton the whole time, moving slowly as to mess with him more. He did as he had to and removed his t-shirt. He then suddenly fell forward, landing on top of the other male slightly, but catching part of himself by grabbing the back of the couch. "Whoops Sorry."
Ashton widened his eyes feeling his cheeks burn slightly. This Fuck-Tard did it on purpose! He then pushed himself and away sitting up again. "Don't act like that was an accident dickhead."
Jaxon just laughed. "Alright alright sorry, your turn."
"Truth or dare." Ashton growled.
"Dare." Jaxon answered.
"I dare you to lick the toilet seat." Ashton smirked himself that time.
"Bro, disgusting, what the hell is wrong with you?" Jax asked. "Skip, obviously skip, just take off my shirt."
Ash suddenly knew his plan backfired when he realized he had to undress him more.
"What are you waiting for?" Jax asked trying and failing to hide his teasing tone of voice.
Ashton slowly sat up crawling on his knees over to the other end of the couch before he straightened up, so he hovered above Jaxon slightly. He then reached out and started to undue the buttons of his white dress shirt. When he finished he slid the thin piece of clothing off the other's shoulders, having to lean a bit closer. "There." He replied when it was completely off. He backed away a little, trying to ignore the fact that even though clothed Jaxon looked tall and thin, he actually had a pretty good body.
Jaxon was just smiling at him the entire time. "It's getting late so last one, Truth or dare."
"Dare." Ashton muttered.
"I dare you to hold my hands and look into my eyes for at least fifteen seconds." Jaxon stated immediately like he had thought of it beforehand.
"That's so weird and awkward." Ashton frowned.
"Do you really wanna take off another piece of clothing?" The older challenged.
"No." Ashton sighed taking his hands, "fine, fifteen seconds." He met his eyes, counting in his head.
Jaxon smiled staring back, and feeling the warmth of the other's hands resting in his palms.
Ashton watched his eyes like he had to, but noticed his expression change ever so slightly. 7. What is he thinking? 9. He tried to ignore it. 11, 12, 13... He felt his body stiffen when he noticed they were suddenly closer. The fifteen seconds were over, but he felt stuck in their position.
Jaxon then suddenly closed his eyes, tilting his head to the side and leaning in to gently kiss the other's lips. The kiss only lasted a couple seconds and he pulled away, still letting his lips linger just above the others as if waiting for his reaction. When he got no negative one he slowly took the younger's lip between his again, letting it stay there for a bit longer before completely pulling away that time, opening his eyes.
Ashton blinked back at him silently, just watching him with slightly surprised looking eyes. "Th-" he caught his breath for a moment. "That wasn't part of the dare."
Jaxon smiled giving a soft laugh at the other's words, still watching is eyes affectionately. "No... it wasn't," he whispered.
Hey guys, so uh how y'all feeling? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) lmao! Yes the development of Ashton and Jaxon is happening! All you lovely readers kept asking about it and maybe this makes it a little clearer, they still have a way to go though! I hope y'all like their only slightly scandalous game of truth or dare ;). Also Logan showed a bit of insecurity, luckily Patton is stubborn enough to set him straight. Seriously though this chapter was super long I hope you don't mind. Vote and comment, bye!
