Part 37
I can't draw or anything so I made Ashton and Jaxon as sims for all of you wondering what they look like. The only thing it doesn't show much is the height difference but I always saw Ashton as like 6'1 and Jax is really tall like 6'4 lmao, he's the tallest character in the story for reference. If you want anymore info like what they wear etc. let me know x3
Trigger warning: minor mentions of depression/self harm
Patton practically hopped up to Logan's locker Thursday morning, grabbing onto his arm and letting a big smile spread across his face. "Logan! Good morning~!"
Logan didn't scare by the sudden action, but did seem slightly surprised he then seemed to force a small smile. "Good morning Patton."
Patton noticed something amiss with his boyfriend right away. "What's wrong."
"Logan seemed slightly taken aback by the question. He shifted looking around the hall. "Nothing is wrong."
Patton frowned not believing him. "Are you sure?"
Logan sighed looking at the boy and giving him a more genuine smile as he pet his head a bit. "Yes Patton, I just did not have the pleasure of getting much sleep last night."
Patton giggled almost silently under his touch and then blinked up at him. "Why? Did something happen?"
Logan shook his head. "Nothing in particular, I just had a lot on my mind as they say."
Patton nodded in understanding. "Okay, well do you wanna come over after school today? To relax and maybe get your mind off of things."
"That would be enjoyable, thank you Patton." Logan smiled at him again.
"No problem!" Patton chirped happily.
Logan then closed his locker before slowly taking Patton's hand and walking down the hall with him.

Ashton sat in the front seat of Jaxon's car, which was parked in his driveway, and he just stared at his house. It looked so strange and almost foreign to him now. Despite him coming home to it for months vs the few days he spent in the hospital, it felt like he hadn't been there for so long.
"You're sure your dad isn't home?" Jaxon asked, snapping him out of his thoughts slightly.
"Yeah, he's at work..." Ashton replied.
"Well then we can just grab some of your things and go." The older states turning off his vehicle and getting out.
Ashton followed him stepping in front of his car. "You don't have to come in with me, I'll only take a few minutes."
"Ashton I cant just-" Jaxon started.
"Please." Ashton stated meeting his eyes. "I promise I won't do anything... Just wait here please, I just really wanna go in alone." He sounded so desperate it made Jaxon's heart clench.
He sighed. "Fine, But if you aren't out in fifteen minutes I'm going in."
Jaxon nodded muttering a small, "thanks." Before walking up to the front door. He found the spare key they hid under a statue and used it to unlock the door, stepping in. Right away he noticed the slight smell of rancid food, and an overwhelming stench of stale alcohol. His nose curled up a bit as he walked into the front hall and he almost felt as if his eyes wanted to water. He weaved his way through the mess of trash and boxes his father had still never emptied since they moved there, the items inside were now covered in a thick coat of dust. Did he really live here for so long? It's amazing what you can get used to. Or what you choose to ignore when your more worried about your own safety...
His foot carelessly kicked a glass bear bottle across the floor as he entered the living room and it slowly rolled over to the basement door. His steps stopped and his eyes lingered over the door covered in a extra locks. He suddenly felt a slight surge of fear crawl through his body. He quickly turned away and practically ran upstairs. He didn't even dare to look at the bathroom and instead headed directly for his room.
The door opened with a slight creak and revealed his untouched room. The sun was shining through the two small windows revealing dust particles flowing through the air, despite that it was probably the cleanest room in the house, and that was saying something. He stepped inside feeling a bit more comfortable. He then made his way over to the closet, opening it and pulling out a suitcase as well as a smaller duffel bag before transferring most of his clothes to the larger. When he did that he moved to his desk putting some more personal items such as electronics and a few books in the duffle. He then placed the bag, still unzipped, on top of the now pretty much empty piece of furniture.
He slowly turned toward his bed, walking over and crouching to his knees, pulling out a box from underneath it. He placed it on the floor in front of him before very gently opening the latch. The box began chiming the tune of Clair de Lune as he reached inside and pulled out a picture, holding it closer to his face. He looked at the smiling faces of his mother father and younger self and felt his heart drop. Tears formed in his eyes and quickly rolled down his face.
"I'm sorry mom." He chocked against the lump in his throat. "I'm so sorry..." he held the picture to his heart crying for a bit longer.
He then sniffed a few times wiping his tears on his sleeve, composing himself, and placing the photo back in the box closing it before getting up and gently placing it in the duffle bag. He then zipped it up throwing it over his shoulder. He rolled his suitcase behind him and lastly grabbed his school bag before walking out of the room, not looking back.

Logan and Patton were sitting on the couch as they had so many times before after school. They'd already eaten dinner, and were now wrapped around each other watching Netflix as rain poured outside.
Logan checked his phone. "It's already that late, I should get home before my parents start to worry." He unwrapped his arms from around Patton and stood up, fixing his clothes a bit before grabbing his stuff.
Patton sat up turning off the tv before standing in front of his boyfriend with a slight frown. "You really have to go."
Logan smiled at his childishness. "Yes Patton." He wrapped an arm around his waist pulling him into a long kiss. "Besides this storm seems to be getting worse I should leave now."
Patton's happiness over the kiss fell immediately after the mention. "Storm? You don't think they'll be thunder and lightning do you?"
"It's likely..." Logan replied curiously.
"Right the weather does that." Patton laughed a bit. "I'll um... walk you out."
Logan followed the boy to the front door.
A crack of thunder outside sounded followed quickly by a flash of lightning, causing Patton to jump slightly.
"Patton?" Logan questioned. "Are you okay?"
"Y-Yeah I'm fine..." Patton stated with a smile, but he seemed nervous.
Another sound of thunder erupted from the rain outside and Patton squealed a bit. He actually squealed in fear.
"Are you afraid of thunder?" Logan then asked him.
"N-no." Patton's voice shook. "Th-That's ridiculous, who would still be that childish? I'm fine."
That time the thunder erupted louder than before and the flash of lighting that followed illuminated the entire entryway trough the small windows by the door.
Patton whimpered closing his eyes and covering his ears as if he was trying to block it out.
"Patton..." Logan walked over, hugging him and removing his hands from his ears so he could hear him. "There is realistically nothing to be afraid of, it can not hurt you. If you think logically, fearing it is entirely irrational."
"I-I know that, but it's so loud, a-and bright, and I've had the fear ever since I was little." He whined a little burying his head in Logan's chest. "Jax used to have to sleep with me just to calm me down, but he's not around anymore..."
Logan felt him shaking and held him a little tighter. "It's going to be okay I assure you." He could really sense Patton didn't have the desire to let him go. "Do you want me to stay?"
Patton pulled away suddenly, looking at him. "As in, stay for the night?"
"That's what I was implying yes." Logan replied.
Patton felt his cheeks heat up at the thought. "U-um, you don't have to do that for me. R-really I don't know if it'd be appropriate and-" He was cut off by more thunder and suddenly hugged Logan again because of it. "Yes! Yes please stay."
Logan couldn't help but smile at the cuteness of his boyfriend. "Alright let me call my mom, think you can handle a couple minutes?"
Patton nodded, letting him go and watching as he stepped a way a bit and called his mother. He tried to focus on anything other than the storm raging outside, and was slightly surprised when Logan was in front of him again.
"She said it was fine as long as it won't affect my school performance." Logan informed him. "Speaking of which, it's getting late we should go to bed."
Patton furrowed his brows at the idea. "S-sleep?"
Logan smiled taking his hand. "Don't worry Patton, I'm here with you now, nothing can harm you." He then began leading him away from the door.
Patton then took the lead heading upstairs and to his room, where he let go of his hand and flicked on the light. "U-um I'm going to get dressed... do you want to borrow anything?" Patton asked feeling anxious over the fact that Logan was in his room.
"Just some pajama pants if you can." Logan responded.
"Um yeah!" Patton went to his dresser, pulling out some pajamas for him as well. "Sorry if they're a little short on you, but you are taller." He chuckled a little nervously, "um I'll get dressed in the bathroom, so make yourself at home. He quickly moved to the bathroom connecting to his room and closed the door. Jesus chest Patton stop acting so weird. He covered his face with his hand. He couldn't tell if his anxiety was being caused more by the storm raging outside, or the one in his heart.
When Patton stepped out of the bathroom Logan was sitting in his bed looking at his phone, he had put Patton's pajama bottoms on as well as removed his tie, and Patton couldn't help but find himself stare at his unusually casual appearance.
Logan then looked up at him, locking his phone and placing it to the side. "Are you ready?"
Patton knew he didn't mean anything by the question, but it still made him nervous. "Um yeah." He turned the light off before carefully making his way over to the bed with Logan. He gently placed his glasses on the beside table and Logan did the same before both of them laid down. Patton felt himself shaking again as the thunder and lightning outside continued at full volume.
Logan pulled the blanket up over them, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. "I'm right here remember?"
Patton's fear was getting the better of him and he found himself not caring much anymore, he turned to face Logan, wrapping his arms around him in return and hiding his face in his chest, breathing in his sent and feeling his warmth luring him into a state of calmness.
"Goodnight Patton." Logan whispered in his ear.
"Goodnight Logan." Patton muttered in response feeling his fear slowly melt away as he was in the protecting grasp of his arms, eventually lulling him into a comfortable sleep.

"So here it is, the place ain't much, but it's big enough for two." Jaxon stated, flicking on the light to his apartment as he carried his keys and two of Ashton's bags in the door. "Uh we can just put your stuff in the living room for now. There's only one bedroom, but the couch is super comfortable trust me I've fallen asleep on it many-a-times." He walked over placing the bags on the couch.
Ashton let his eyes flick around the apartment for a moment before he rolled his suitcase in from the hall shutting the door behind him. It felt a little weird coming into his place. "I thought Patton said you were here while you were on winter break, renting an apartment seems a little much for a little over a month."
"Ah Yeah..." Jaxon trailed off moving behind him to lock the door. "Um, actually I'm transferring to a local university for the next semester. I checked out and all my credits transfer over so I won't have to retake any courses. I didn't want to tell Patton until everything was for sure and I just worked everything out with the apartment, so I'm thinking I'll just let him know as part of his Christmas present. He'll be glad to have me around close, and actually so will I. It's been a little rough not seeing him to be honest."
Ashton nodded in understanding. "If you miss him so much, why move away in the first place?"
"Originally I moved away to get away from complications with my parents, mostly my dad, but I figured they ignore me enough now that it doesn't matter if I'm out of state, or just a drive away." He replied. "I definitely need my own space, but I can see now that I was a bit too rash to find that space so far away." He suddenly let a smile with a hint of smugness stretch across his face. "So don't worry I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." He grabbed his suitcase from him rolling it into the living room. "You can stay as long as you'd like."
Ashton frowned shaking his head a bit. What a cocky motherfucker...

Ashton was now lying awake on the couch as a loud storm raged outside. He stared at the darkened ceiling thinking over the last few days and how crazy his life had gotten.
Really everything had crumbled down so drastically at once to the point where he couldn't see past the dust and rubble, and now that he was out of it— It felt weird. It felt weird that he was here lying on Jaxon's couch, it felt weird that he hadn't forced himself to go to school for the entirety of the week so far. It felt weird he didn't have to go back to his father...
He found himself fearing how his father would react when he found his room empty and him gone. He was 18 now so it's not like legally he could do much of anything, but the thought of his father coming after him still scared him unimaginably.
He tried to push the thought away and rolled onto his side, closing his eyes to try and sleep. He listened to the storm outside and suddenly instead of rain he began to hear the running of a bathtub faucet and he was brought back to the bathroom where he was a few days prior looking at an empty plastic bottle and holding a razor.
He flicked his eyes open suddenly, sitting up and rubbing his temples trying to get the frightening image out of his head. His heart was pumping and his breathing quickened a bit.
It felt weird... how could that have been him. He took a deep breath figuring he wouldn't get much sleep with his raging thoughts. He looked across the room to a door and stood up walking towards it. It was halfway open and he gently slid through the crack into Jaxon's bedroom. He hesitated by the door for a moment, feeling weird, before walking over to the bed. He looked at Jaxon's sleeping figure before he gently and quietly sat on the edge of the bed. He pulled his knees up to his chin fearing nothing more than being alone in the moment, he stayed that way until he felt Jaxon shift and he looked back over to the older male.
"Ashton?" He asked in a tired and confused daze. He rubbed his eyes and slowly sat up to face him, mumbling as he tried to blink his eyelids awake groggily. "What are you doing? What's wrong?"
Ashton looked a little surprised that he was awake, but then moved his gaze away. He didn't answer the others question. He was visibly shaking.
Jax looked around his eyes hitting the window. Even with the curtains drawn he could hear how windy it was and see the lightning flashing through the material. "Are you afraid of the storm?"
Ashton shook his head. "No..." he replied quietly.
"You don't have to lie." Jax chuckled a bit. "I used to have to help Patton through storms at night all the time. It's a completely normal fear."
"That's not what I'm afraid of..." Ashton trailed off lying down A bit, facing him.
Jax moved over allowing him a bit of room before joining him in his reclined position. "Then What is it?" He whispered gently stroking his arm in a slow soothing motion.
"My thoughts..." Ashton replied his voice was small and broken unlike he'd ever heard before. "They are screaming terrifying things in my head...." he started shaking a bit more. "but when I'm with you... they don't sound so loud..."
Jax frowned before taking the covers and wrapping them around Ashton, pulling him a little closer. "It's okay..." He shifted, raising himself up a bit, before he took his hand and gently brushed away the others bangs from his forehead, placing a soft kiss there, much in a way a parent would comfort their frightened child. "Get some sleep Ash...and I wish you have sweet dreams." he said in a voice so sweet Ashton almost mistook it for his own mother's.
Ashton felt a few tears roll down his cheeks at the thought and he snuggled into the other a bit closer, feeling warmer then he had in a long time. He closed his eyes trying to fight off the wall of tears building up behind them. He didn't see anything behind them and instead was overtook by the sound and feeling of Jaxon's breathing, and the fresh smell that radiated off of him. He took it in before eventually, and without him even realizing, he drifted to sleep.
Sleeping in Jaxon's arms felt oddly... normal.
Hey guys *squeal* snuggles for days! Lmao what can I say in the end I'm a sucker for some good fluff.
