Patton smiled at Logan from his desk positioned in front of them in their Advanced English class. They were having another partner reading of the selection, so he had his arms folded on his desk, with his chin resting between them, watching as Logan read part of the selection out loud.
Technically, he should be reading along, but in reality he just couldn't stop himself from watching Logan's calm expression as he renounced the words from the book he held in one hand perfectly.
Patton's eyes then trailed down to the other male's freehand that rested on the desk across from him.
He glanced to his face for a quick moment before returning his eyes to the hand and gently sliding his towards it. He slid his fingers into Logan's, not quite intertwining them, but comfortably resting them between each other.
Logan paused his speech for a moment, obviously not expecting the contact, but then continued reading like nothing had happened.
Patton smiled adjusting his head so he could once again see the reading as he followed along to what Logan was saying.

"Patton." Lacy stopped him quickly in the hallway the next morning.
"What's up?" He asked.
"We..." she trailed off pulling out a clipboard from her bag and handing it to him. "Are holding a charity donation for the local families who have lost their jobs, and I was wondering if you could sit at the table during your lunch period today and host it."
"Yeah, sure thing!" Patton smiled. "You know I love stuff like this, it's one of the main reasons I joined the pep club!"
"Great." She smiled. "I'll try to stop by for a little bit, but I don't know if I can stay long cause I'll have to be doing a million and one other things, but I'm sure you can handle things on your own right?"
"Yep!" He chirped. "I've done it a dozen times before."
"Okay, just stop by the club room beforehand to pick up the money box, and key." She flashed a friendly smile.
"Yes m'am." He replied gleefully.
"I'll see you later." She replied before rushing off.

Patton was standing at the charity table at lunch as he'd promised. He had texted Logan to tell him he wouldn't be able to eat lunch with him, but instead asked if he'd like to come to his house to study after school and have dinner together instead. He hadn't yet got a response however. He smiled at someone who passed.
The person, who he assumed to be a freshmen, stopped with her friends after seeing it and smiled back.
"We are taking donations to help local families who are having financial troubles if you guys would like to donate." He let his smile grow larger causing his eyes to close for a short amount of time.
The girl seemed surprised for a second before digging through the purse around he shoulder. "Oh, yeah of course." She replied as she and a couple of her friends put a few bills in the jar.
"Wow That helps a lot thank you!" Patton chirped.
The girls then walked off all in a fit of giggles.
"Hey Patton." A voice sounded.
"Oh hey Lacy. You made it." Patton greeted back.
"Yeah I cant stay very long, but thought I'd stop by for a minute or two to see how things are going." She replied looking at things across the table before checking her clipboard.
"That's cool." Patton replied he reached for his back pocket to check his phone, but before he grabbed it he noticed someone placing a bill in the jar. "Oh thank you- uh- Logan? I um...thought you always eat in the library." He suddenly felt a slight nervousness wash over him.
"I figured I should perhaps stop in for once." Logan replied before looking right at him, smiling ever so slightly. "For a good cause of course."
Patton felt his cheeks go warm and was left speechless for a second before smiling back. "I see. Well thank you for your donation."
"My pleasure," he almost walked away before stopping himself. "oh and about your question of us studying later, I can most certainly be present for the occasion."
"Great." Patton blushed again before watching him walk away.
Lacy coughed a little dramatically causing Patton to look at her. "What was that?" She asked with a hint of a smirk.
"What was what?" Patton blinked innocently.
"Is there something going on between you two?" She asked raising a brow.
Geez I guess we are pretty obvious... "What?" Patton asked waving off the statement playfully. "That's completely ridiculous. He was simply making a donation."
"Are you kidding?" Lacy asked obviously not believing it. "I mean come on he didn't even blink in my direction, his eyes were on you the entire time."
Patton felt his heart skip a beat up in hearing her observation and all he could do was smile like a lovesick idiot.
Lacy laughed at that. "Well don't worry I won't go around telling people or anything, but do try to focus okay? I don't need you going off into dreamland and miss someone snatching any cash." She teased.
"You can count on me!" Patton said with determination.
"I know I can." She replied as she walked off. "See you later Patton."

Patton had just dropped off the money box and key in the club room, making sure they were safely locked and hidden in the proper place, and was now walking to his locker to get his things for the rest of his classes. He had been given a hall pass for the occasion so didn't have to worry about being late.
He closed his locker and couldn't help but jump when he turned and saw who had approached him. He felt like his feet were plastered to the ground as his eyes remained wide and he tightened the grip on his books. He was completely frozen. "A-Ashton..."
Ashton flinched slightly like Patton's scared reaction physically wounded him. He looked away with a guilty expression before sighing and meeting the others gaze again. "I know that with what I did I don't deserve forgiveness, and to be honest, I'm not really expecting it..."
Patton just stood there unable to speak, but still listening.
"B-but Peppy-I mean... Patton," Ashton almost look like he was struggling not to cry. "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I never wanted to hurt or scare you. Not that it's even close to a valid excuse, but I really am horrible with alcohol, and I shouldn't have been in the environment where that temptation was there in the first place. I promise you if I had been sober I would have never even thought of forcing anything on you." He paused a sad expression taking over the entirety of his expression. "Like I said I'm not expecting forgiveness, but I just needed to apologize."
Patton's tensed stance loosened slightly and he let his shoulders drop, a frown forming on his face. "Okay..." He didn't really know what else to say. He was so conflicted again.
"Okay..." Ashton mirrored back a little sadder. He started to step away but then stopped. "Oh and Peppy..."
Patton slowly looked up at him.
"I really did like you a lot you know." Ashton stated.
Patton hugged his books close to his chest feeling his heart ache a little. His voice came out hardly over a whisper. "I know..."
Then Ashton walked away without another word.

Patton was sitting next to Logan on the couch that afternoon. He closed his text book with a small sigh as he finished his assignment. He then watched Logan as the boy concentrated on whatever it was that he was reading before turning to the notebook in his hand and writing something down. A smile spread across Patton's face as he watched him happy to finally have him as a boyfriend instead of just a friend.
As if sensing the stare Logan looked up from his work and at the other quizzically. "Is something wrong?"
"No..." Patton replied contently. "I've just finished."
"I should be almost finished, as soon as I finish this review page." Logan stated turning his head back to the book, but then giving Patton a sideways look. "It would finish quicker however if there were no distractions."
Patton chuckled at that before sighing dramatically and falling back onto the pillows. "Well I assume I could try not to be such a lovable distraction for you, but alas, with this cute face, that may be a very difficult thing to do, but I'll try my hardest."
"Very well." Logan said bluntly looking back to his work.
This semi-cold response caused Patton to pout slightly. He sat up quickly. Did he not even notice I was flirting for attention. He rolled his eyes slightly, taking his glasses off and carefully placing them on the back of the couch, before scooting closer to Logan and resting his chin on his shoulder, watching him with an innocent expression.
His face fell into a slight scowl again as Logan payed him no mind. "Do you think I'm cute?" He asked, but Logan just wrote something else down seemingly entranced in his assignment. Patton let out a little huff before a smirk spread across his face. He leaned in and placed a small kiss on Logan's cheek causing him to blink a few times, but still not look away from his work. In one last attempt Patton kissed a little lower this time, on Logan's neck.
Bingo.
Logan turned bright red and turned toward his partner trying to hide his embarrassment as he spoke. "Is this your idea of not being a distraction."
"But Logan~" Patton complained innocently. "You didn't answer my question." He then took Logan's glasses, placing them on the coffee table before returning to his close position, noticing the confused expression his boyfriend wore. He smiled teasingly, but fluttered his eyelashes still trying to appear innocent. "Don't you think I'm cute?"
Logan's blush had faded, but a slight pink still dusted his cheeks. "I never said that I didn't."
Patton smiled at that. "You don't know much about relationships do you?"
"Having a proper boyfriend is not a subject I'm very educated on." Logan admitted.
Patton chuckled at the response. "Well right now I'm lonely, so you should probably give me attention okay?" He whispered reaching up to let his hand glide along the silky fabric of Logan's tie.
"I think I can manage that." Logan replied matter of factly, putting an arm around the shorter's shoulders.
Patton felt his smile grow a bit. He then balled the cloth of the neck accessory in his hand and pulled on it, swiftly leading Logan into a kiss.
Said boy let his eyes close as he kissed back, tightening the arm he had around his partner.
Patton broke the kiss for a moment, letting out a small laugh as he shifted his leg to the other side of Logan, pushing the textbook and notepad to the side, to sit more to be in front of his boyfriend before connected their lips again. His heart was racing, and he felt an exhilarating feeling throughout his veins that was almost too overwhelming, but he didn't at all feel the desire to pull away.
Logan seemed to be taken by surprise for a moment but he soon wrapped both arms around the shorter male, leaning back so he was lying down, with Patton on top of him slightly.
Patton pulled away for another moment just enough to let them both take a breath.
They stayed that way for a few seconds before they heard someone clear their throat.
Patton panicked, thinking perhaps his parents had come home for once, and quickly pulled away from the kiss and rolled off of Logan only to fall straight down to the floor.
"Patton, are you alright?" Logan asked sitting up in concern and grabbing his glasses to better see the boy who was sitting on the floor rubbing his tail bone.
"I'm fine..." Patton grumbled before quickly shooting off the ground and putting his own glasses on looking to the direction from which the sound had come. He sighed in relief before lighting up. "Jax!" He exclaimed happily running around the couch to hug the young man standing in the entryway of the living room.
"Hey there little brother!" The guy smiled happily retuning the embrace.
Patton pulled away after a quick bear hug, his smile not faltering. "What are you doing here? Why didn't you tell me you were coming home?"
"My school is already out for winter break. And well I called you when I had a free moment last week, but you didn't answer. I mean geez I even got a hold of Mom before you." He responded.
"Oh crap!" Patton face palmed lightly. "I totally forgot to call you back, sorry."
"It's fine, you know now." Jax chuckled.
They both looked over as Logan stood from the couch and approached them.
"Oh right." Patton stated. "Logan, this is Jaxon, he's my older brother who's in college. And Jax this is Logan, he's my um..."
"I am Patton's significant other. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He held out his hand politely.
"You too." Jax smiled returning the handshake. He then crossed his arms and looked over to his little brother a teasing tone taking over his voice. "Although I think I could have guessed that considering what I walked in on. I could leave for a while if you two need a little more privacy."
Both younger males blushed at the comment.
"No, you can stay!" Patton waved his hands in front of him, his voice squeaking.
"Yes, your absence is not necessary." Logan added looking to the side. "In fact I should be the one leaving. I don't wish to intrude."
"Wait, you don't have to. I told you we'd have dinner tonight." Patton stated turning his full attention back to his boyfriend.
"It's quite alright, my mother is probably expecting me home anyways. I'll give you time to catch up with your brother." Logan stated formally. "Besides I do still have homework to complete."
"Hm... okay, let me walk you out at least." Patton agreed after a little hesitation.
"Very well." Logan stated gathering his things and walking with Patton to the front door.
"I'm um sorry, I really didn't know he was coming." Patton apologized as Logan was slipping on his shoes.
"It's quite alright Patton." Logan smiled at him. He then placed a hand on his shoulder and kissed Patton's cheek gently. "I'll see you tomorrow Patton."
Patton felt a tug at his lips as well. "See you tomorrow." He then watched as Logan left before returning to his brother who had moved to the kitchen and was making himself a sandwich.
Patton slowed walked over and sat in a stool at the island across from him. "I'm really glad that was you who walked in...and um... thanks for not freaking out."
"Mm." His brother held up a finger as he chewed and swallowed the large bite he had taken. "No problem, you know I'll love you no matter what, besides I already pretty much knew, but yeah you're right you were lucky I wasn't Mom or Dad, not that they're ever around anyway..."
Patton nodded kinda sadly. "So you talked to Mom? What about Dad?"
"Mhm briefly." He replied. "And no, I didn't even attempt. I doubt he'd answer a call from his least favorite son anyway." He laughed honestly not seeming too affected by their father's opinion on him. "Hopefully Mom told him I was coming, although it doesn't matter much anyway, I'm staying at a hotel in town for the month."
"You aren't staying here?" Patton asked furrowing his brow.
"Uh-uh." Jax stated through another bite of his sandwich. "I doubt he'd kick me out or anything just because he 'disapproves of my choices in life', but I'd rather just try to avoid the conflict at all costs anyways."
"I guess so..." Patton trailed off.
Jax chuckled as he finished his sandwich. "Don't worry." He stated coming around the island and putting his brother in a slight headlock too ruffle his hair. "I came here to see you so I'll still be around plenty of the time."
"Stop it!" Patton shouted pushing him away playfully. He then fixed his hair shaking his head. "It's hard to believe you're older sometimes."
"I guess, I mean here I am still single, never having anything close to a serious relationship, and you've got yourself a handsome young Logan." Jax teased. "When did that happen?"
"Um we've been friend for a little while, but we only started dating a couple days ago." Patton explained. "We're taking things slowly."
"Slowly?" Jaxson laughed loudly. "Whatever I saw early didn't look like 'slowly.'"
Patton felt his cheeks warm, and huffed a little, annoyed by his brother's teasing. "We were just kissing."
"Ah Yes, but kissing can lead to other things my young brother." Jax said thoughtfully.
Patton's blush deepened. "Sh-shut up! It wasn't gonna lead anywhere okay??"
"Okay." Jax put his hands up in surrender. "Really though he seems nice." He smiled approvingly. "But you know, if he ever breaks your heart, I'll have to kill him."
"Yeah yeah..." Patton smiled hopping off the stool. "Figure out what you want for dinner, I'm gonna go take a shower." He started walking out of the kitchen.
"Make sure you're only thinking about you in that shower!" Jax yelled after him with a smirk.
"SHUT UP!" Patton screamed making his brother laugh.
Hey guys, ha ha so you meet the infamous older brother, Jaxon! How do you guys like him? And yay! More logicality kisses. Gotta fill the chapters with that fluff! Also Ashton reappeared in this part, what do you think of him apologizing? Vote and comment, bye!
