Henry
We're all at Jasper's house in his basement. His mom gave us some snacks and drinks, which we finished in 5 minutes flat. I nod at him and he nods back. I suppose now is as good a time as any.

"Okay can I start? This is eating me up." Dawn asks and Charlotte sends her a thumbs up.

"Okay, as far as my confession goes. My parents are super drug junkies and won't be around me even when I die. I've been raised mostly by my brother and grandma. My grandma never liked my ex boyfriend Jack and she always told me to watch out for him. I guess now I know why." Dawn smiles sadly.

"Have you ever seen them do drugs?" I ask. She laughs dryly.

"I've seen them overdose, go through withdrawal, on a high and seen them sober. Everything and if anyone is wondering, the best times are when they were drugged up. They were usually not home then. My favorite memories of them are the ones where they weren't there at all." Dawn shares what I can only presume is a painful burden she's been carrying.

"Thanks for telling us." Jasper rubs her knuckles. Why am I just now noticing they're holding hands ?

"I suppose I can go next. Can't leave my girl hanging." Char speaks up.

"So I've got 2 things. One is that my ex is lying in a hospital bed comatose and although it had nothing to do with me I still feel like his life fell apart more when I left him. I left because he got mixed in with some bad things and bad people. The second is that I'm moving soon. In 2 months exactly." Char finishes.

"What ? The school year isn't even over yet! How are you moving?" Dawn outbursts. Char nods slowly.

"Yeah my parents found a house and my dad got his job transferred to their Georgia office. So yeah I'll be a Georgia peach soon." Charlotte frowns. I lean over to whisper in her ear.

"You're way more than a Georgia peach." I say and lean back for the slap that I know is coming. She slaps my chest and I cough.

"Damn girl." I cough out. She rolls her eyes at me.

"Is there any way to convince them to let you stay ? Maybe with Dawn ?" Jasper asks, his eyes swelling with hope.

"I can stay for a month maximum. Just long enough to finish my assignments and exams. Then I'll go down and move in. Then stay there til graduation which I will be coming back for so I can still graduate with Dawn." She explains.

"What about school?" This time I speak up. " I thought you were planning to go to Columbia."

" I wanted to but if I don't get in then it won't really matter. I can find a school close to home." She speaks as if she's rehearsed this a million times over.

"Columbia? Like in New York ? Like on the other side of this country ! You've never ever mentioned this before! " Dawn's shouting in shock. Oops maybe no one was supposed to know?

" yeah." is all Charlotte manages to say.

"Our turn!" Jasper distracts the two from what looked like an argument. They both turn to us expectantly.

"So uh, it took us some thinking over but we think it's only right that we let you know about uh why our lives get so hectic and why our houses have a lot more security and why"

"Oh my gosh Jasper you talk too much." I groan and roll my eyes. "I'm Teen Danger and he's Teen Frost." I state. Dawn's face goes into one of shock while Char's is stoic. It's silent for 5 seconds before out of nowhere Char starts laughing.

"Yeah right and I'm secretly Beyoncé." She chuckles.

"Lottie, I think they're serious." Dawn mumbles. Char looks at us and shakes her head.

"No way there's too many inconsistencies. Henry's hair is blonde and his eyes are brown. Jasper's hair is definitely not straight and his voice is not nearly as deep as Teen Frost's. Explain that to me." Charlotte has a serious look on her face.

"Well for me, there's a voice modifier in my suit and I straighten my hair. I usually have enough time to modify my look before going in and I just make sure to curl my hair up afterwards." Jasper explains.

"For me, it's a bit more complicated. We haven't fully figured out why but when I use my super speed for longer periods of time my eyes and hair change colors. My guess is my eyes turn yellow maybe because of the electric charges I cause to flow through my body. My hair just does it's own thing." I wait patiently for everything to soak in.

"Oh my god! I'm dating Teen Frost!" Dawn shouts. She squeals and hugs Jasper tight. She kisses his cheek and smiles wide. Jasper smiles back and kisses her forehead. Okay so they are dating. Why wasn't I informed of when this happened ?

Charlotte looks me over twice before clenching a fist and punching me softly.

"Stop doubting yourself, I know you'll get the job done." She says, just for me to hear and I smile. I bring her in for a side hug.

"Will do Charbear."

"Okay I know this is gonna sound far fetched but can we see your base ? Oh my gosh is it at that store ? Ray is Captain Man isn't he?" Dawn pieces everything together pretty easily. Jasper nods.

"Actually we wanted to talk to you guys about it. If you're willing, we need help taking down the Bomber. We need Jasper out on the field but that would leave us one man down at base. The other guy on the team singlehandedly takes care of medical, technical and lookout jobs. He can't do all that on his own. Would it be too much to ask you guys to help with the medical and technical stuff ?" I propose.

"Dude are you kidding ? Heck yes we'll do that! Let's go first thing in the morning and you guys can catch us up to speed. After that send everything to Charlotte's Pearbook and we'll do as much as we can on our own. I'll be doing medical stuff and Char will help with tech?" Dawn fires off.

"Sounds good to me. There's actually a few ideas I had for you guys suits and your powers. Whoa you guys have superpowers, how'd you get them?" Charlotte opens a whole new can of worms.

"Henry was on patrol in our helicopter when he got struck by lightning."

"Jasper got hit with a super powerful but defective cold gun."

"Oh my gosh y'all could have died!" Charlotte yelled.

"Yep." We answer.

"And I'm sorry did you say dating Teen Frost?" Charlotte turns to Dawn who is blushing. I'm gonna go ahead and assume that wasn't supposed to be spilled that way.

" uh yes. It just happened." Dawn avoids eye contact while Jasper seems preoccupied with the ceiling.

"How long?" Char quizzes.

"Oh ya know. A month." Dawn mutters and I slap my forehead.

"So you kept a secret from me for a month, that's cool. I told you about my parents wanting to move and here I am letting you know now that I have a date as to when they want to move. I never told you about Columbia because I really didn't want to be too far from you so I wasn't even actually considering going"

"Still making you submit an application" I interject and Charlotte glowers at me. Not the time, got it.

" why didn't you tell me?" Charlotte's voice immediately goes soft. We all look at her quizzically.

"Whoa Char, I didn't think it'd be that big of a deal. I really was going to tell you but we haven't really gotten the chance to sit down and catch up ya know." Dawn explains and then realization hits me. She probably feels like she's losing her best friend. If they haven't been able to catch up for some time, and Dawn's spending all her free time with Jasper it's possible that Charlotte is simply worried she's being replaced.

"Yeah trust me I know. It's been about a month of pure loneliness over here. Maybe it'd be different if I had friends in school but no everyone knows I'm the girl who made our star player attempt to commit suicide thus making me the reason why our rankings have dropped without him. No biggie." She's speaking so harshly. She pauses and draws a deep breath.

"We'll talk later?" Dawn seems unsure of how to approach Charlotte now, probably still unsure of what the real problem is.

" Henry I'm tired." Charlotte holds her head and I nod.

"Go to the car, it's been a long day. I'll be right there." She grabs my keys and gets up to leave.

"What's up?" Dawn asks.

"Make sure you fix things ASAP." Jasper hounds Dawn. "I'm going to wait a bit before apologizing, I think it'll make things worse if I talk to her before you do." Jasper explains to Dawn who is still confused.

"Sure. I don't fully understand what's wrong but something is bothering my best friend. She looked like a puppy that just got kicked. I feel so guilty and I'm not entirely sure what I did." Dawn's voice carries a mix of emotion.

"Did something else happen before y'all came here ? I'm not used to Charlotte throwing caution to the wind and showing her true feelings without having to pull it out of her." Jasper rubs Dawn's back to calm her down. It's clear Dawn is in no condition to speak just yet.

"Bianca came over. She usually yells a lot, I think it made Charlotte's normal bout of headaches even worse. We also didn't eat dinner. Plus information overload."

"What happened with Bianca?" Jasper interrupts Dawn who was about to speak.

"I broke up with her."

"Okay, Jasper shut up. I have to speak. She will probably kill me for this but Henry, whenever you're ready. Charlotte has been in love with you for months now. I know if I leave this to her, she'll never say anything. I don't know how you feel about her but give her a chance maybe." Dawn's eyes swell with hope and her tone is so sincere. I nod and just leave.

Char likes me? No, loves me ? I mean I love her too but she's in love with me? I feel horrible. Do I have any feelings for her that way ?

I got to my car and I opened the driver's door. I saw her huddled up in a Teen Danger blanket, sleeping with her head against the door. I drove around a bit, knowing it'll help clear my head. I finally pull up home after 20 minutes of aimless driving and instead of waking her up I just bring her in the house.

I carry her upstairs to my room and place her on my bed. She has a faint smile on her face and for some reason I'm compelled to kiss her forehead so I do. This causes her to stir and eventually wake up. She rubs her eye sleepily and waves at me. I just laugh at my goofball.

"Wake me up in 5 minutes for dinner okay?" I nod my head at her and watch her settle back in to sleep.

I go downstairs and start to take out some leftover lasagna. I take a look around before trying out a new power of mine. I shoot heat out of my eyes and it heats up my food instantly. I smile happily knowing that it worked. I get out some mango tea that Dad made earlier and pour it in a cup for Char. I set up the table for the two of us before going upstairs.

My powers have been acting weird lately. I have my normal super speed but my body randomly develops little hints of something very different and non related to super speed. I haven't told anyone yet because I want to be 100% sure of what I think is happening. This heat vision is the first one I have been able to use on my own.

I knock on my bedroom door breaking my thought process.

"Ready Char?" I peek in my room. She's up and walking towards the door. She smiles at me and nods before yawning.

"Alright TD, lets go." She smirks, adorably for that matter. My heart beats rapidly as she walks past me. Does she always make me this nervous? Is she always this close to me? Does her hair always smell this good ? Yes to that last one.

I look her up and down from the back and I feel a twitch.

Okay so I'm definitely attracted to her.

I hungrily follow her downstairs and we spend the night eating and laughing.
