Char: I haven't heard from you in 3 weeks
Char: what is so important that you are blowing up my phone now ?

HxH: an apology, I'm so sorry for not getting in touch with you sooner. Things at work & school picked up, I'm so worried about Piper at home and then my girlfriend was going through some stuff. It got crazy out of hand and the more I put off texting you the harder it was to just do it. I'm so sorry please forgive me.

Char: you're lucky I'm in a good mood so you're partially forgiven I guess

HxH: I'll work my way up
HxH: so how have things been ?

Char: hectic, cheer competition season starts soon. Our game against your school is gonna be the last time the cheerleader squad is altogether, once we break up into competition team and school cheer team the girls will be on their own. On top of that, my parents want to move to Georgia and retire there so we're a bit at odds on that. Scores for midterms haven't been posted yet so I'm stressing over that. I haven't seen any of you guys in 5 months now and life is life.
Char: I covered everything, your turn

HxH: well I took your advice in journalism & you are now friends with the author of the Danger Report in Swellview High's Newspaper. The articles I turned in for my class were so good I got appointed a column without actually being part of the journalism club. Any and everything superhero related is my job to investigate and report on, with some limitations obviously.

HxH: Bianca has been trying to spend more time with me after school but Piper needs me a lot now. She wants me around more for safety and Bianca doesn't see why I have to be there for my sister all the time. Mind you, her and I go out for lunch and hangout in the mornings on the days I can come in late. We actually just had an argument because she thinks I'm cheating on her. There's "no way a sister would want to be around their brother that much, trauma or no trauma." I like the girl but that was rude asl

HxH: And then this new supervillain dude has everyone in constant fear. There's been 6 bomb threats and 2 more actual attacks. Thankfully the supers were able to save everyone this time around and restored the public's trust in them but how long their luck will last is another thing.
HxH: speaking of football, after we play your school we'll know if we made it to regionals

Char: anyways 1. Yay congrats
Char: 2. Dump her (?) 3. Pipes is strong, you're a good brother supporting her like this and having a good attitude about helping her will ease her worries too
Char: 4. You ? cheat ? Yeah right, lemme at her. 5. Do we have a name for the villain yet?

HxH: Soooo Captain Man called him the Bomber in an interview and that name has since stuck

Char: how original

HxH: I think there's more to him than just using bombs though

Char: you mean like the fact that he literally only uses bombs ?

HxH: yeah, most villains show off their powers early on and claim their work. He also has used different types of bombs with different triggers, kinda like he's more than setting it but controlling them

Char: that's not totally weird, he sets his bombs and watches to see when's a good time to set it off

HxH: but he's never there to see the attacks go off - at least far as we know. why plant a bomb, set a timer and then not even stick around to see your work ?

Char: so you mean he's more complex ? Maybe he can't handle seeing his work
Char: but if he can't handle it, then why is he doing it ?

HxH: he must see it as a necessary evil for his end goal
HxH: he doesn't like doing it but it's the best thing he can think of to draw attention to himself
HxH: I mean not every bomb threat actually fell through and the ones that hurt people should have actually hurt a lot more according to all the reports 

Char: that could be part of his plan, do bad things all while being the bad guy and then emerge as a guy that's not so bad at all

HxH: and your ace reporter will be there when it all happens

Char: how do you know that ?

HxH: One way or another, I'm gonna get a story and tell it. This little convo will be our secret for now but I will most definitely include it in my breakout article.

HxH: I actually kind of want to do something with journalism now. I hate it so much 😂

Char: I told you I think it'd be good for you

HxH: Anything in mind for the future yet you lil cutie ?

Char: My photographs have been making their way around my school district. Local newspapers are using my photos but I didn't really consider this being a thing until I went to a science lab and got to take pictures there. Not 100% sure on it.
Char: On the other hand, I can't shake my knack for tech ! There's a huge tech company I really want to intern for but they only accept 3 applicants a year out of the whole state. There's no way I could ever get in.

HxH: I think you kick and fight until you get in there. I've seen the way you light up and the way your brain starts firing off when you try to see how things work. And then that stupid coding thing that you can understand. I've never seen anyone more excited about damn 0's and 1's.

Char: Thanks Hen, I have the application and I filled it out but I never mailed it. It's not due until 2 months from now.

HxH: The next time I'm over we'll mail it together yeah ?

Char: You don't have time to come see me.

HxH: Sure I do, after the football game. This will be the perfect opportunity for our parents to all meet. Piper and I can spend the night ?

Char: Sure, you didn't mention Dawn and Jasper, do you want just us ?

HxH: Well don't tell her but Jasper plans on asking her on a date afterwards which is where he also plans on making things official. it's part of the reason her brothers spent last weekend at his place, they were helping him plan.

Char: wow, my Jasper is all grown up

HxH: I know, I feel like I should take advice from the guy and plan something nice so my girlfriend will get off my back

Char: She really thinks you're cheating, huh ?

HxH: like I said, because I don't spend as much time with her as I did in the beginning of the school year. there's 2 classes we have together and she's never in either of them. How is it my fault we don't spend time together? We sat next to each other in those classes to spend time together !
HxH: And then one day she's at my house right, she walks in on Piper sleeping in my bed and goes off on me about having "other girls" in my room. I was so livid
HxH: to top it all off, 2 weeks after that my mom called and she was in one of those moods where she made me tell her I love her before I hung up and my partner in the class that BIANCA DOESNT ATTEND EVER is laughing at me and saying how cute it is that I tell my mom that. I told her what's cute is how she still hasn't asked out her crush because she can't see he really likes her and this girl comes in slamming her locker and glaring at the poor girl before stepping in between us and trying to kiss me.
HxH: she's just jealous of everyone ! Like I don't have friends or family that I'm responsible to !

Char: that's not exactly a good sign, have you talked to her about it ?

HxH: oh yeah she just starts crying and I walk away because I'm not dealing with that baby stuff

Char: 😂 Henry you really walk away from her when she's crying ? Bro 😂😂

HxH: she wants to act like a child ? I'll wait til she's ready to talk like an adult

HxH: No ! Then she had the AUDACITY to say something about you and Dawn

HxH: She told Jasper that he should give up on Dawn because she's got cracked out parents which means she'll end up abusing substances too

HxH: what really got me though is when she came to me asking me about my relationship to you
HxH: She came to MY house and sat me down and had me thinking we were finally going to talk about us and fix things but you know what she does ?
HxH: She pulls up these older looking posts of you with some guy and tells me that he's dead because of you so I should watch my back because you and Dawn are mixed in with some bad people and can easily ruin my life if I try anything you offer me
HxH: I have never told someone to get the hell out of my house faster, I wanted to smack her so bad for digging into you guys past that way
HxH: just because her dad is a damn police chief does not mean she can go around poking in some files
HxH: totally violating everything
HxH: and my messages are calm but when I say I saw red when she brought that up about you and Dawn. Hold on I gotta go calm down.
