My personal opinion :

This series is sooo underrated.

It needs more appreciation and acknowledgement!!

The author has done an outstanding work in weaving a deep, intricate connection amidst all the books in the series. The work is done so neatly and implicitly, that it will leave the readers reeling at every twist and turn.

Seriously, you won't be able to give up mid-way on the book, once you start it.

Great great job on author's part. I also recommend all other works!!

This series actually has 3 books in it including two couples.

However, the author has also published few spin-offs, 2 books so far with the ongoing updates in the second book.

The spin-offs can be read alone but it will be more interesting if you read the predecessors. (Just my personal opinion )
