My personal opinion :

Mann, if I thought my 5K words chapter were huge, then I was in for a grave realization with 17K words epilogue.

I almost loved the huge epilogues more as it gave me an insight of the other male character's life too, building his background and history.

Back to the novel, it's one of those straight A, smart, shy, guy and a bad boy.

BUT

it displays the struggle of identifying your sexuality and where you stand with it in the society. Something that resonates amidst the crowd of the society.

That worry, that struggle, that resolution of finally figuring out and accepting yourself as who you are, family struggles, school pressure, peer pressure, and everything else is well displayed, neatly packed and published in this novel for you to enjoy!

I loved the way the author described the intimacy of the lead couples and how their relationship slowly built, instead of rushing into it.

However at times I was a bit overwhelmed with the intricate description of every little movement in the beginning and has to skip few lengthy paras. However, the book gets gripping from chapter 3 when the school starts.

One of the best feature of the book? The character development. There are very very few characters that are displayed flat but maximum ones are round. Especially Wesley and his family for positive and well, Wesley's so called gf for negative.

This author has no qualms, dropping the plot twist and leaving her readers flabbergasted! I swear I gasped out so loud while reading that my parents thought I had an attack or something!

Overall a good novel to read in Quarantine!
