He couldn't move.

"Like I said, you'll never escape dearie," Her warm breath wafted over his neck, but it sent cold shivers down his spine.

He quickly glanced down, eyes widening at the sight of the machete she held up in the air, just a hair's breadth away from his neck. It appeared to get a little closer every time he tried to snatch a glance.

This is it, isn't it?

His eyes began to well up, as he tried to show no weakness in front of this thing.

The silence was practically deafing, all the animals had stopped, it was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. Instead of that beautiful morning sun there was a gloomy atmosphere surrounding the area.

A single tear dropped down his face. "Aww!" She squealed, a wide grin spreading across her face. "Is somebody, scared?
I know I would be!" She let out a howling cackle, that could be heard for miles.

I'm going to die aren't I?

No. We aren't.

The blade was now softly pressing into his neck, slowly drawing blood.

"You'll pay for this. For killing her. I liked her Logan, I actually LIKED HER!" She whined.

He didn't dare move, but the pain was getting to him. He started to move, unintentionally digging it in further.

"Should I make you suffer? Or kill you quickly - like you did to Quinn! Hmm. Decisions, decisions . . ."

Time to die, right?

Nope.

Everything seemed to just slow down. She'd lifted her arm and was slowly swinging the blade towards him, getting ready to draw it across his neck.

But this time, for once,
Liam had control.

His hand tightly clutched the knife that Logan had forgot about, quickly and swiftly moving it like an expert. It danced across his finger as he spun it; holding it backwards in his hand. With the strength he could muster up he flung it behind him, into the top of mother's shoulder, twisting it and pushing it in as far as he could. She squirmed, squealing and screaming in pain as he forced her down to the ground. He dug it in more, and more shrill, ugly (Like her) screams escaped her mouth.

That strange sense of confidence appeared again, as he whispered,
"How is this pain for you now?"

Ah. How I love cliché sounding lines.

Cliché . . . Wh-what? I don't think this is the right time for that Liam, to talk about erm . . . clichéness?

Yeah, yeah. Alright. Party-pooper.
But back to the task at hand . . .

Why don't we have some fun now?

He twisted the in her shoulder some more, before yanking it out and pushing in a piece of a branch instead.

How I love to see and hear her suffering.

Y-you're right Liam.
This is ac-actually kinda . . . fun.

There was now a smile across his worn face, a big, truly happy grin, like the Cheshire Cat's. (And Quinn's . . . .)
He grabbed a hold of her thick messy hair, slowly dragging her long, thin frame across the muddy grass, into a shallow part of the little lake. A string of curses escaped her mouth as sticks and stones dug into her.

Logan kicked her into the lake. She was slowly but surely sliding down the muddy bank. He again grabbed her hair, pulling her head back, close to him. Her face was bloody and scratched as she laughed again. "Y-your s-smile . . . I-it's just like h-hers . . . Just like his as-aswell . . ."

"You did this. So now, you should die!"

He lifted his hand that clutched the knife, bringing to down swiftly, screaming in her ear, "YOU'LL PAY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!"
