It was the morning of the greeting ceremony for the guest lecture at Cloud Recesses. Wangji was already awake and had bathed and dressed before waking Wei Ying. Wangji lightly brushed his fingers against Wei Ying's cheek and moved some of his hair from his face.

"Wei Ying, it's time to wake up," Wangji said calmly.

Wei Ying opened his eyes a small bit to look at Wangji, "already?"

"Did you not sleep well?" Wangji asked.

"I woke a couple times due to nightmares but I got through it," Wei Ying answered.

"Why didn't you come wake me? I could have laid with you," Wangji questioned.

"I didn't want to disturb you," Wei Ying said, "this is the first time we are sharing a space and I don't want to be a burden. It took me a while to get comfortable around father."

Wangji nodded in understanding, "You are not a burden and you will not be bothering me if you need me. If you are upset, I am upset too. I am happy when I know you are happy. It's all I want for you," Wangji assured him.

Wei Ying nodded and sighed as he sat up, "if I have time later, I will take a nap but I will go and get ready for the day," he said.

"If something is bothering you, never hesitate to come talk to me," Wangji said, "I am on your side and I will not leave you."

Wuxian smiled and hugged him, "thank you," he said and went to go bath and get dressed for the day.

When it comes to appearances. The three Jade trio seems like a gradient of sorts. Wangji always wore his white robes, and Lan Xichen always had on light blue robes. When it came to Wei Ying's robes, he had both white and light blue robes, but he also wore dark blue robes.

Wei Ying wore white under-robes and then light blue robes over that. A thin silky dark blue robes to top. He had a light blue sash tied on his waist, a white belt over that with a thin blue stripe down the center. He put his hair up in nicely with jade ornaments.

Once he was dressed, he grabbed his sword and placed it in his Qiankun sleeves within his robes. He then grabbed his flute and stuck it in his belt on his right side. He then followed Wangji to the dining hall for breakfast. He sat with Wangji, Lan Qiren, Lan Xichen, and Qingheng Jun. When they finished breakfast, they went to the Orchid Room for the greeting ceremony.

Wei Ying's seat was beside Wangji to his left. The two sat there waiting for the other guests and students to arrive, "how are you feeling now?" Wangji asked.

"I am okay," Wei Ying said.

"I have a feeling that the Wen Sect will make a scene today, so stay close to me," Wangji told him.

"Is it something you know from the past life?" Wei Ying asked.

Wangji nodded, "you may not have all of the information of that life but I will guide you through it."

"What will most likely happen?" Wei Ying asked.

"Second Master Wen, Wen Chao, will bring a couple people here for lectures. He causes a small scene. Last time he interrupted Jiang Wanyin, and you stood up for him," Wangji explained.

"Jiang Wanyin?" Wei Ying asked, "Sect Leader Jiang's son? Why would I be associated with them?"

"In your past life, you were the Jiang Sect's Head disciple. Though, behind closed doors, Sect Leader Jiang's wife was very mean to you. Way later on in the future you told me she abused you. You were considered as the shield to Sect Leader Jiang's children," Wangji told him.

"There is another sibling?" Wei Ying asked.

"You were more fond of her than of Jiang Wanyin," Wangji said, "she treated you like a real brother. I can tell you more later tonight before bed."

"Alright," Wei Ying said, "but does this mean I should avoid the Jiang's?"

"I would advise you to avoid Jiang Wanyin. His sister is fine to speak with," Wangji told him honestly, "we just don't want you to deal with any problems with them."

Wei Ying nodded, "alright," he said, "I will be mindful of them."

Wangji took his hand and squeezed it lightly for comfort, "no need to worry about anything. I am here, so is Father, Brother, and Shufu."

Wei Ying nodded. When Lan Qiren entered with Lan Xichen and Qingheng Jun, Wei Ying went over to Lan Qiren to greet him, "Good morning Father."

"Good morning Son," Lan Qiren said, "how are you doing?"

"I am doing well," Wei Ying answered, "Lan Zhan told me about Second Master Wen. Do you think he will make a scene again?"

"It's possible, and if he does, you let us handle it. I want you to stay beside Wangji," Lan Qiren ordered.

"Alright," Wei Ying said and greeted the other two before returning to Wangji's side.

Soon the guests arrived and the ceremony was underway. It was going smoothly so far, but as Wangji predicted, The Wen Sect came by to stir up trouble. They interrupted Jiang Wanyin like the last time. This time however, Qingheng Jun was here and he stepped up.

"Second Master Wen, you may be his excellency's son, but you are in my territory. You come here, harm my disciples and interrupt a ceremony. Even your father would never do something this cruel even if he is started to become more arrogant. Since you are here in my home, I expect you to follow our rules while you are here. Now drop your disciples off and leave before I do something to you," Qingheng Jun demanded.

Wen Chao argued back. As he was standing his ground, he suddenly stopped talking and started to make choking noises. Wei Ying's eyes widened slightly. All he wanted was for this man to shut up and leave. He forgot his father told him that resentful energy can act according to one's wishes if it calls for it. Wen Chao was a threat and the resentful energy thought Wei Ying was in danger even though he was not.

Wangji looked at him, "tell it to stop," Wangji whispered.

Wei Ying let out a soft whistle and the choking stopped, "I forgot that happens, I just thought about wanting him to shut up and that happened," Wei Ying whispered back, "I'm sorry."

"It's alright, just be careful next time," Wangji whispered.

Wei Ying got angry, "and if I don't?"

Wangji looked at him wide eyed, "what?"

Everyone suddenly turned to them, "next time, and if I actually forgot about my abilities again, will you scold me again? You told me that you would not do this to me. It would be so great for you if I didn't cause trouble right? WELL I DID NOT KNOW! So shut up and leave me alone," Wei Ying said and left the ceremony.

Lan Qiren looked at Wangji and scowled, "whatever just happened, fix it!" He said, "as for the Wen's leave."

Wen Chao left Wen Ning and Wen Qing like last time. Though the ceremony was still happening, Wangji went to go find Wei Ying. Wangji didn't mean to make it seem Wei Ying was the problem, he just didn't want to have anyone come after him for his abilities of he got caught. Now he has to fix this problem or Lan Qiren will punish him severely. If he can't find Wei Ying, that punishment will be worse.
