"Xichen I have something for you, it could be helpful to you," Baoshan said as she returned to his side.

"Xichen hasn't left the library much since he was taken there. He was learning a lot from the books he has been studying and he was very keen on using this knowledge to help him in the future, "What is that?" Xichen asked.

"This is an elixir I made that can help you know who is telling the truth and who is lying. Just know you can still lie and this elixir cannot be removed once taken. It's an ability that can be very helpful but it can be manipulated if one were to know of this," Baoshan explained.

"Is there a way to still know what or who is manipulating me?" Xichen asked.

"Of course, as long as you still remain true to yourself and your values, you will not be swayed," Baoshan told him.

After a moment of reflection, Xichen chose to drink the elixir, "and this will help me know who to trust?" He asked.

"It should be better distinguished," Baoshan said, "I noticed you were distracted. Want to talk about it?"

"It's about Meng Yao," Xichen said, "you know everything about what happened and what he did. I know I cannot trust him this time, but there has to be something I can do. He was the reason A'Xian died and he killed Da-Ge. I even helped him do it. I gave him the knowledge and he used it against me. He said he never wanted to hurt me but after all that he did, I know that even if we try to step in now, it's too late."

"Even when given a second chance, some people just cannot be saved or change. As for Meng Yao, he didn't act alone either. When certain events happen again, you need to decide on what you need. The ambush to Cloud Recesses will happen. What do you think can be done differently?" She asked.

"Well, Father is out of seclusion and we know what is going to happen. I know A'Xian can make amazing talismans and charms to help out too. If I have to leave with the books again, I am not sure what will happen. Meng Yao helped me before," Xichen explained.

Baoshan smiled, "I know A'Ying will help. Something you have that others don't, is knowledge. You know what to expect so you can prepare in advance. I can help when I can. I can set up a place for those who cannot fight to evacuate to. I will not let my grandson suffer again, and I don't want Wangji to do so either. That's why I gifted them immortality. It will help them in the future."

Xichen nodded, "I know what is expected of me, but there is a lot that is expected to happen."

"Then, if you feel good about the books you studied to help you, then why don't you go and train for a bit. There are things I can teach you that even if you aren't immortal, it will be useful," she said.

"Okay," Xichen said.

He put his books away before following her outside. Baoshan had her sword in hand and she was ready to teach him new skills, "I will teach you some new skills. I want you to follow what I do."

Xichen nodded and did as she instructed. The things she taught were a bit more advanced but Xichen found that he could follow along pretty well. As he followed her, he noticed his blade getting sharper, he knew Shuoyue was always sharp but it was like the blade was hardening and sharpening, like it could cut through bone like butter. Baoshan noticed and spoke, "now strike down that target there," she pointed.

Xichen did as she instructed and cut through a wood and metal target. It made a clean cut through the center, "what happened?" He asked.

"These skills I am teaching can alter your blade, whether you want is sharper or you want to add fire, or a poison, it will be helpful as you have to fight fierce corpses in the future. Each step you follow will have different results. This one I call Cloud Cleaving Blade. It allows you to cut through anything like you are cutting through butter," Baoshan explained.

"Will Wangji and A'Xian know this too?" Xichen asked.

"They will have skills of their own. They will be able to do develop their own skills and techniques. This is something you can know that doesn't require you to be immortal. It's a way to be able to fight and defend yourself," Baohsan said, "I can teach you skills as well that require spiritual energy but it will tire you quicker. Those skills will have to be used for emergency situations but they will be of use. The larger amount of energy you use, the more tired you become, but you will always be able to replenish as you just need to rest like any other cultivator would."

"I will learn them," he said.

"I figured as much, but as I taught you so much today, you are already a bit low on energy. So how about we pick it up again tomorrow," Baoshan suggested.

"Okay," Xichen said, "that sounds good to me."

Baoshan nodded and they went inside to clean up and make dinner.

As for Wangji and Wei Ying, they have been in seclusion, and they had just finished going through meditation to change their cultivation. The person that was helping them, was actually a spirit but he was always willing to help these two, as one of them was his grandson, Wei Ying. This spirit was Wei Ying's grandfather. He may be gone, but he always helps disciples of Baoshan's with further training, especially if they want to gain immortality. He was happy to see his grandson.

"Waigong, (if this is wrong in terms of maternal grandfather, I apologize. Feel free to correct me if it is.)," Wei Ying said, "what should we do next?"

"Next you need to learn your skills. Haizi, you already have the ability to use Yin energy. That is your skill and you are able to improve it. You can do more as you can you Yang energy as well. As for your partner, you two have a bond, so he can help you with guidance and control. If you feel as if you are struggling, he is here to help you," his grandfather said.

"In terms of skills, what can we do?" Wei Ying asked.

"As an immortal, you have limitless power," the man said, "you can do almost anything. You do not tire easily, even though you still eat and sleep like anyone else, in terms of how much you can perform before tiring, you need to learn endurance and strength so you don't feel fatigued. You can teleport, you can use the elements, you can learn almost anything you want."

"Is there really no limit?" Wei Ying asked.

"Only if you deem it so," the grandfather said, "if you feel lacking, you may feel you have hit your limit, but that is not true. Everything you can do, you can do better together. While you two are here, learn to communicate and work together."

Wei Ying nodded and looked at Wangji, "I am willing to do anything as long as he is with me."

"Am am the same with you, Wei Ying," Wangji said and smiled.
