Gabriel hadn't moved much when the two heroes reentered. He'd loosened his posture a bit and was staring at Danny, deep in thought.

"He seems to be recovering," he reported to the other two without looking at them.

The boy did seem better. His face had smoothed over and his breathing was much calmer. He looked in blissful sleep on a cloud of butterflies. There were so many now. All of Hawkmoth's had mixed with Danny's.

Chat and Ladybug sat down slowly, trying not to sit on any butterflies. They slid from underneath them anyways.

Ladybug steadily ignored the man, but Chat had been giving him looks since he entered. And Gabriel didn't know what to make of them.

He sighed. "I'm sorry. For what I did. I- I thought if I continued long enough I could make it but uh..." He looked up to see he had the two teenagers' attention. "I was wrong to even try anyways. It- it was stupid. I'm sorry."

Ladybug's eyes softened and she relaxed a bit. Chat just clenched his jaw and looked back down. Neither gave him a response and he didn't expect one.

A movement from the ground brought their eyes down and smiles to their faces.

Danny was opening his eyes. He furrowed his eyebrows and blinked up at the three faces looking down at him hopefully.

This emitted an immediate reaction from him and his body went with the first thing that came to mind.

Gabriel fell back on his butt with a grunt and hands flew up to hold the jaw that had just been punched.

Marinette burst out in a small laugh and Adrien just shifted so he could help Danny sit up, ignoring the groaning man.

"What happened?" The boy was blinking at his friends blearily.

The two were smiling brightly at him.

"Danny." Marinette grinned. "You alright?"

"Ye-yeah. I am. What happened?" He leaned back on his elbows and looked around the room. His eyes widened when they spotted Gabriel, who was looking at him wearily.

"Hawkmoth gave up," Adrien smiled. "He let go, Danny."

"What?"

"We won." Marinette's smile brightened at his shock. "We did it."

Danny scrambled up with his hands. "We what?!"

Adrien snickered at Danny's shock and denial. "It's over."

"It's over!!" It was like bright explosions had build up inside him and were now bursting out in colors and sparkles. He laughed and brought his two friends in in a hug. "Yes!! We did it. I love you guys." He scrambled up, still holding on to them and bounced around with two dizzy but happy supers under his arms.

He caught sight of Gabriel, who had stood up by now and was still rubbing his jaw. He let go of his grip on his friends and ran at the man.

Gabriel flinched, fully expecting another attack. He tensed but then arms where wrapped around him and he realized he was being hugged.

Danny squeezed tightly. "Thank you." He let go just as suddenly as he had attached on him and ran off.

Gabriel was left behind stunned.

Danny whooped and laughed as he bounced around. The butterflies swirled around him, just as excited and jittery as their new master. He twirled around to Marinette and Adrien. "Where's the guy?! Where's Nooroo??"

"He transformed you to save you from the fire." Marinette gestured towards his body as she laughed at him. Her anger and conflicting emotions had dissipated for at least a moment and she could enjoy the moment like Danny was. Sure, the fact that Gabriel was Hawkmoth brought a lot of problems with it, but they had stopped him. They had saved Paris. They had a right to celebrate.

She turned to see her partner with a hand pressed to his mouth and hiding a smile as he stared at Danny. She bounced over and hugged Adrien. Adrien's ears pressed back in surprise at her sudden affection, but he hugged her back. Her head lifted and she smiled happily at him.

He blinked, but relaxed and held her tighter, lips parting a bit to show sharper than normal teeth, but still as perfect as they were in civilian form.

Marinette didn't know what had happened. One second she was admiring his teeth and the other she was kissing him.

Chat made a mmr?! sound in the back of his throat, which reminded Ladybug of a surprised cat. She smiled through the kiss and brightened when Chat kissed back.

They eventually couldn't hold in their excitement anymore and were full out laughing with their cheeks pressed together from the still tight embrace they were in.

Danny wasn't paying attention to his friends anymore. He looked down and stumbled a bit when he noticed his attire. He snorted when he saw the cape, but he couldn't say he didn't love it. A part of him had always wanted a cape in his hero form. "Nooroo! Untransform me!"

He bit his lip as a kwami floated out and greeted him shyly. He was having none of that and scooped him up in his arms. "Nooroo! You're ok!! We did it! I got you!! You're free, dude!"

Nooroo smiled with tears in his eyes as he was spinned around by the boy. "Yes, I am. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you!"

Danny brought him up and kissed the top of Nooroo's head. The kwami gave a startled laugh.

Danny let go. He grinned and shouted: "Going Ghost!"

Him and his butterflies flew into the air and went right through the broken window.

Nooroo stayed behind, still a bit dazed by all that had happened and his master's enthusiasm. He could almost feel it through the start of the bond they had. It felt amazing. He laughed and looked back down at the three figures under him. "Bye then. We'll be back soon." He zipped after the glowing beings.

Phantom spun circles in the sky. He yelled loudly, probably attracting a lot of attention, but he didn't care. Nothing mattered anymore. Everything was absolutely perfect.

He might not have been able to really save Amity Park. Let's be honest, work never paused there. But he'd saved the sanity of this country. He'd done it. They were safe. They would be happy. They didn't have to be afraid anymore.

"Hahaaaaaaaa!" He flew up and did a loop, his Papis twirling around him and brushing him with their wings. Something popped in his head, and he found himself turning from his path.

They were save. He and his team had saved Paris. Amity Park was now the past. Of course he'd never forget it. But it was a closed chapter.

Well, almost.

He only needed one more thing. If he'd been in any other situation he probably would've given this more thought but he was in a state of euphoria and feeling like he could take on the world.

He phazed right through the Fenton Works sign his parents has set up on the house long ago and stuck his head through the wall.

"Hey Mom, Dad! I'm half ghost!"

The room he was in was empty but somewhere in the kitchen he heard his mom. "We know, sweetie."

"I'm Danny Phantom!"

"Yes, we know."

"Alright, I'm heading out with my friends and will probably stay there for the night!"

"Okay, tell me when you get back."

Everything was absolutely perfect.

I think half of this chapter is made up of the word "laugh". Seriously, I had to convey the utter happiness Danny would feel after he'd done it. In Amity Park there would always be ghosts attacking. Either new ones or regular ones. You get tired of that cycle after some years. And you can't stop it. He felt very helpless there. Here there was one bad guy. And he'd beat him.

Im happy with all of my characters reactions (altho I feel like I should touch up on Gabriel). I know it may seem like I'm giving Adrien a lot of angst but srsly. He had it coming. I'm done with all those reveals showing Marientte as the one with low confidence like have you met my girl??? Sure at the start she didn't stand up for herself, but she grew out of that fast. She knows she's a nervous wreck around certain people but she's faced celebrities and conquered without embarrassing herself (except Adrien but that's a crush). She's growing and stumbling over struggles and even if she makes an embarrassment of herlsef she doesn't give up. Like you know how much self confidence that takes?? She knows who she is.

Adrien just doesn't have the kind of development. Let's be honest he has a lot of baggage like do I even need to get into it. I've let him cry just the right amount aight.

Gracias por entender lo del hospital. Yo recuperé pero sigue siendo un problema en la familia lo de mi abuelo. Mi mamá estaba llorando aquí abajo y yo trate de distraerla pero bueno. Con ella siempre es mejor si lo llora nomás. Mi abuelo está en el borde de morir enserio ya no sé qué hace en esta tierra les digo que está tan mal. Mi abuela vivía en Perú y se habían venido aquí de vacaciones pero ahora tiene que quedarse a vivir aquí por mi abuelo y saben lo difícil que es dejar a toda una vida atrás?? Es un lío.
