🦋An Irish and soccer

Hello my beautiful Magnets.

I'm inspired today, so stay around because you'll have a One Shot in a few hours :)

Mag 🦋

FOUR
An Irish and soccer.

Two days went by where I did nothing but go out for a run in the morning with Harry, spend some time with him until lunch and then relax the rest of the evening on the beach by myself.

Nothing was busying my mind, nobody cared that I was there, nobody recognized me at all except for Niall, and for once I felt normal.

I felt like I could do anything and not be judged, because really, nobody cared.

I smiled to myself as I took the food container the girl was handing me, paid for the meals and returned to the greenhouse to surprise Harry with lunch.

Once he saw me entering his office, he rolled his eyes.

"I told you I was paying today."

"Nope. It's on me." - I said, placing the food on his desk.

"How much did you spend? Let me at least give you half of it."

"No, Harry. Really. It's alright."

"I'll pay for the next one. I won't let you spend more of your money on me."

I shook my head in amusement.

"I swear, Harry. I wouldn't do it if I couldn't."

Harry frowned and looked seriously at me.

"You never talk about your work."

"Because I don't do anything as interesting as you." - I smiled at him, picking the plastic fork and pinching on my food.

"What do you do?"

"I'm... I'm a personal trainer." - I lied.

"That's why you're helping Niall?"

"He told you that?"

"He said you wanted to help the kids. That's lovely of you." - He smiled. - "They are really great kids."

I wanted?

"Uhm... yeah. I'll meet them today. He told me that their training is at six thus evening."

"Yes." - He smiled. - "Niall told me he was really excited about it, so probably the kids are too."

"I can't see why." - I laughed nervously.

Harry shrugged.

"I would be excited just by the thought of spending time with you."

He stared right into my eyes with a tiny smile on his lips, making me shift in my seat nervously.

"Me too." - I whispered.

Harry smiled wider and I knew that was the right thing to say.

A few minutes before six I prepared my laptop and sat down in bed, getting comfortable as I opened the link Niall sent me.

"Hello there, Tommo."

"Stop calling me Tommo!" - I shouted at the screen and Niall laughed on the other side. - "Seriously, someone could hear."

"Yeah, yeah. They are eight years old children, they don't even know their own names."

"I highly doubt that. They probably know a lot more than you."

Niall shook his head amusedly and then placed the camera down in what I guessed was a bench.

"Can you see well like that?"

"Higher."

"On it." - He said and the camera moved up.

"That's better, stand in the middle of the field so I can see the entire view."

I rested my back against the headboard of my bed and took the bottle of beer from my nightstand.

The silhouette of Niall got tinier and tinier every time he stepped back until he was standing in the middle of the field.

I nodded and held my thumbs up, he did the same and ran back to the camera.

"Okay, so what I want you to watch are their movements and how to improve them, maybe come up with some tactics."

"I've never coached kids. Just know that."

"It's okay. Just take notes of what things you would change."

"I also have to take notes?" - I whined.

"Fine. Do whatever, just please Louis. Help these kids. We have a game in a few weeks, and they really need a win."

"Okay, yes. I'll take it seriously. Promise. But you keep your part of the deal."

"Of course. Hey, the first parent is here to drop the kid, stay there."

I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"I'm staying here. Go."

After a few minutes of seeing Niall greeting parents and terribly hyper kids, he gathered the fifteen children in the middle of the field and made them warm up.

He made them run two laps and then he separated them into teams to start a friendly game.

I watched attentively to every single one of the kids, taking notes of their skills and which position would work best for them, even the goalkeepers.

Because one of them was awful.

The game wasn't that bad, but it was easy to notice that those kids weren't trained to be professionals, they were just running around and having a laugh at their friends.

So one thing I should let Niall know, is that he needed them to be a bit more disciplined.

Also, they were really good players for eight years old boys, so I had some ideas for them to be even better.

After a while the practice ended and I was surprised to see that I had tolerated the two whole hours of it and that it was actually really entertaining to be sitting and watch for once.

Niall said goodbye to the kids and returned running towards the camera.

"Tommo! You're still here!" - He smiled.

"I am." - I shrugged.

"So?" - He asked excitedly.

"So, I took notes. I'll wait for you and when you get your ass back here we can go through them, alright?"

"Really? Wow, you're the best, Louis! Thank you. I'll be back soon."

I shrugged and smiled.

"Bring beer."

"On it."

Later that night, I heard my phone ringing and I immediately smiled when I saw it was Harry.

"Harold." - I answered.

"England." - He laughed. - "How was your day? Did you like the kids?"

"They are fine, I guess."

"Was Niall a pain in the ass today?"

"Not really. He could have been worse. He came to my apartment after and we spoke about practice for like an hour."

"And you two got along well? He usually gets quite competitive when it comes to soccer."

"We did fine, Harry." - I laughed. - "Why so worried all of a sudden?"

"I just want you two to be friends I guess." - He sounded doubtful.

"And why is that my dear butterfly guy?"

"Because I... it doesn't matter."

"Harry, what's wrong?"

"Nothing. See you tomorrow."

"Wait. Harry, don't worry about Niall and I, yeah? I have no doubts the guy practically loves me, and I'm starting to tolerate him." - I said and Harry laughed. - "Besides, he's your friend, so I'll put an effort, okay? Don't worry."

"Thank you, Lou."

"You're welcome."

"One more thing."

"Anything." - I smiled.

"Tomorrow is my day off and I was planning on taking my dog for a walk. Would you like to join us?"

I laughed into the phone and shook my head.

"Sure. Count me in."

"You're the best."

He mumbled a little goodbye and we both hung up the phone.
I bit my lip, containing the stupid smile forming in my face.

I was so screwed.
