Cameron Ellis and Theodora Park were once best friends.

Although the two of them came from different backgrounds, they managed to get along really fast. Cameron came from old money, her parents forcing her to focus on keeping up her good grades, while Theodora's family happened to be one of the poorest in their neighborhood. More times than not, Theo would stay with Cameron and borrow things from her - all of which Cameron was happy to do. They'd always hang out together at school and even outside of it, devoting all of their free time to each other. As they'd get older, their bond grew so close that neither of them could figure out where one of them began and the other one ended. If there were such a thing as soulmates, Cameron firmly believed that Theodora was hers. Whenever both girls thought of their future, they saw the other girl in it.

But nothing good ever lasted long.

Shortly before high school for them ended, the two seemingly inseparable friends were now broken apart and Cameron had moved away from home with her parents to a completely new city. For a couple years, Cameron and Theodora's intense and passionate friendship faded away - becoming nothing more than a distant, bittersweet memory. And it seemed as though it would forever stay that way.

However, picking at the wounds of your past eventually lead them to bleed. And when Cameron comes back home a couple years later to continue college there, that's exactly what happens.

Everything has changed about home, in the worst way possible. And that includes her old best friend, Theo. The once bubbly, adventurous, and cool girl was now closed off and cold. She got into all sorts of trouble and partied until she passed out. Cameron, on the other hand, has also changed. No longer was she a goody two-shoes. She had successfully ruined her perfect reputation, falling into bad habits including alcohol and weed and she was wasting her potential every second of the day. Her parents were at their wits' end with Cameron, thinking that sending her to go to school in her hometown was the best possible option to get her to clean up her act.

Regardless, seeing as Theodora and Cameron have similar friends, they were bound to cross paths again. Of course, the reunion is more bitter than sweet. But it's just the beginning of the two old friends making amends, and figuring out exactly what had caused them to fall apart in the first place.
