so it's chu, huh?

"bonjour, mademoiselle. welcome home." an ash haired girl in a formal black suit smiled as she bowed her head politely to the both of you.
you simply smiled, while the brunette patted her at the back in a rather friendly manner. "merci. you don't have to be so formal now, lali. it's just me and chaeng."
looking down, you bit your lip at the way the brunette calls you by that name.
what is up with me? i don't usually feel this giddy at stupid nicknames.
the ash haired girl sent the chuckling brunette a cheeky smile before turning towards you and offering her hand.
"i'm lalisa manoban, but you can call me lisa. i'm the daughter of the butler assigned to the kim family's household here in france." you immediately took her offered hand. "it's very nice to meet you miss park chaeyoung."
you smiled at her back just as politely. "you too, lisa. and, please, call me chaeyoung."
"she's my best friend, too. but she doesn't like voicing it out to family friends, so i call her my bodyguard." the brunette added with a playful grin, which caused the ash haired girl to chuckle lightly. "anyway, let's drop the formalities now. obviously, i hate those." she placed an arm around you ever so casually, causing your eyes to widen at the sudden gesture and your cheeks burn furiously. "do you wanna come with, lali? we'll head to the mansion first. we could drive there together."
lisa smiled, shaking her head. "no, it's cool. i don't really wanna interrupt." she retorted rather playfully, eyes crinkling a bit as she sent you and the brunette a knowing grin.
your eyes widened as you immediately felt your blushing rather intensify.
"true. your charms would surely be a distraction to my girl right here." the older girl joked, so you nudged her by the side and sent her a faux-glare.
"get outta here, chu." lisa laughed, motioning towards the exit of the airport and smiling at you politely in acknowledgement, so you did the same.
when you walked past the exit and lisa was officially out of sight, you turned to face the smiling brunette. "so it's chu, huh?"
"it's an old nickname. better luck next time." she stuck her tongue out at you, removing her arm from your shoulders and reaching for the small device handed to her by one of the guards standing by a silver camaro convertible.
"is this yours?" she simply nodded, so you narrowed your eyes at her. "are you sure you're not a drug dealer or something?"
your question sent the brunette laughing. "could your accusations get any worse? i'm starting to get offended." she joked, shaking her head lightly. "would it still matter even if i was, anyway? you're already here in paris with me."
"still, the last thing i need is to get murdered by a drug dealer on my eighteenth birthday." you raised an eyebrow at the older girl, who just shrugged as she unlocked the car doors. "no driver?"
she chuckled, opening the passenger's side for you. "i like the thought of being my own driver, most days."
you rolled your eyes as you stepped inside the car. "you really don't play by the book of a rich dynasty at all, do you?"
chuckling lightly, the brunette ran towards the driver's side of the convertible and entered the car as well. facing your way, she leaned in a little closer to buckle up your seatbelt for you, and you thought your heart was going to jump out of your chest.
"no, i really don't."
