Third Person POV
It was more than a week already since Nara came back home. She had become a lot more comfortable now and had started opening up to Yuta. It took a while but he was successfully able to gain her trust and make her feel needed enough.
Though Yuta was caught up with work and office, he made sure he gave Nara enough time after he came back home or he solely dedicated himself to her during the weekends. This time, he genuinely felt that he was becoming a better person staying with her.
But what remained were those nightmares from the trauma, they had reduced a bit but were still there to haunt his sleepless nights. The same flashes of Nara at the hospital, her going away and leaving him all alone. He didn't want Nara to worry about him so he just bottled it in, he made her sleep early so that she will deep asleep when he goes to bed.
"Aren't you coming?" Nara asked Yuta who was busy reading a book he discovered last week.
"Where?"
"To bed, of course."
"You can go, I'll read this and come later."
Nara didn't want to let him stay up for another night, he had been sleeping late a lot and she definitely, wasn't liking it, "No, you're coming with me, you haven't been sleeping well and that'll just take a toll on your health." She said and took his book away and that was a cue for Yuta to listen to her and walk inside their bedroom.
"Fine princess, you win."
Yuta did fall asleep after a lot of tossing and turning but after an hour or two, he was jolted awake, "No!" He yelled, he was panting hard and looked very restless. The shifting on the bed also got Nara to wake up, only to see Yuta in such a mess.
"Oh god, what happened!" She exclaimed. She was scared as to why was he hyperventilating so much.
"Nara!" He said astonishingly as he found her beside him, "You're here." He whispered as he heaved a sigh of relief after seeing her beside him.
"I never left, Yuta." She spoke and rubbed his back a little to calm him down, "Was it a bad dream?" She enquired.
He shook his head, "Nightmare, Nara. I almost lost you. The shower room, the hospital. I'm having nightmares of losing you. They take you away from me." He sighed, he was stressed and frightened, he felt as if something very valuable was being taken away from him.
Upon hearing that, Nara stiffened a bit. He is still going through the trauma, she thought, "I'm here Yuta, everything's alright now." She assured him and pulled him a close to her, she stroked his hair a little to comfort him and calm him down, possibly help sleep a little.
"I don't want to lose you."
"You will never, I promise."
The next morning everything was the same, except that Yuta wasn't able to talk to Nara well. He felt a little embarrassed to face her again after what happened last night so he just kept himself busy with work the whole day. Yuta was worried that it would tense Nara but he didn't realise that him not talking was even more of a pain to her.
Nara noticed how he has been avoiding her and soon the silence became too defeaning, "You look tired Yuta." She said. He had been sitting in front of his laptop the whole day and had made his presence as good as invisible, "Take a break, it won't do any harm."
When Nara noticed that Yuta didn't even bulge a little, she just walked to him, stood behind his chair and shut his laptop, "Take a break. Let's go to our room." She whispered softly into his ears as her hands pressed slightly onto his shoulders, sort of massaging it.
"Nara." He sighed, "I have wo—"
"Shh, its okay." She hushed, "Stay by my side tonight." She whispered so lightly yet her voice was enough to send chills down Yuta's spine.
Yuta didn't fight back, he couldn't say anything further. He stood up and faced her, "Do you have any idea on what you are doing to me?" He asked her as he cupped her face, ready to give up himself to her.
Nara couldn't answer him, she just kept playing with the hem of his shirt, unknowingly both her mind and heart were too indulged in that intimate moment. As for Yuta, he didn't speak a word, he couldn't stand it anymore, the restlessness inside him and his desperation for her so he just kissed her. He didn't know if it was his conscience playing for him but his muscles acted involuntarily, as if every fibre in his body craved for that moment.
The kiss was gentle but still strong, deep and dominant. It expressed every emotion that Yuta held in and was afraid to show. Love, lust, fear and desire all of them.
But he stopped, abruptly. It were his emotions controlling him, he felt he should think straight, "Nara, I'm sorry." He said, his head was turned away and eyes were shut from embarrassment as he couldn't face her.
Nara held his face and turned him to face her again, "Do you love me?" She whispered.
"More than anything."
"Then why are you sorry?"
"I'll hurt you." He sighed, "I've hurt you before, you," he paused, "You are so fragile, so delicate, I'm afraid I'll hurt you again, lose you again."
Nara shook her head, there was a small comforting smile on her face, "I trust you now, I love you Yuta and I know, you will not hurt me." She said and kissed him again, continuing the moment they were sharing. Just the two of them.
It was just a small phrase but it still somehow brought a wave of comfort and reassurance in Yuta. He loved her, he needed her for he knew how his life had turned into a despair without her, she was his strength and his weakness.
With that kiss, they soon found themselves in their bedroom, stripped of every piece of clothing on their body as they had trailed to their room. Her hands were wrapped around his neck and his muscular arms held her carefully. They didn't care of what was to come next, only the present moment mattered to them.
The way Yuta held her as if he was scared that he would break her. The way he whispered her name with love and kept saying you're so beautiful. How he captured her lips into a comforting kiss every time and said I love you.
The way he took care of her as if she is the most delicate thing he has ever held in his arms. touched her so carefully, like she was a flower, his precious flower.
Everything about that night showed how much he loved and treasured her. He didn't want to let her go, he would never let her go, he needed her by his side forever.
