Third Person POV

"Jung Jaehyun, it's good to see you again Ms.Nara." He introduced himself.

"Ahh, Mr.Jung, yes! I'm sorry I wasn't really able to recognise you." Nara apologised as she stood up to shake hands with the man.

Jaehyun waved it off, "It's okay! There's nothing to apologise and please call me Jaehyun." He said then looked around searching for someone, "Yuta isn't here?" He asked but then regretted his question when he saw Nara's smile fading away.

"So the rumours were true?" He asked consciously and Nara replied with a nod.

"Uh well I'm really sorry to hear that." He said in a solemn tone. But before the situation could get any awkward, Nara shrugged off the topic,

"Are you waiting for someone?" Jaehyun asked.

"Oh no, I had a meeting here close by, it just got over so I came here." She replied.

He nodded at her and checked the time, assured that he didn't have any meeting he decided to spend some time with Nara, "Do you mind if I join you?" He asked with goofy smile.

Nara chuckled, "Why would I mind, have a seat." She said as she motioned to the empty chair in front of her.

"Order anything! I'll pay, I insist." She said brightly which caused Jaehyun to smile at her, "Did something good happen to you." He asked as his eyes wandered the menu.

"Have you heard of Mrs. Choi Bora?" She asked sipping on her coffee.

"The Venture Capitalist?" He asked back.

Placing her coffee cup down, Nara nodded, "Yes, I had a meeting with her, she said she'll mentor me since I'm planning to start again as a Venture Capitalist." She explained.

"If you don't mind me asking, why did you quit as the CEO, I mean it's completely fine if you don't wanna tell me?" He asked, Nara noticed that he placed his words carefully, as if he tried not to hurt Nara in any way.

Nara chuckled at the dry memory, "I made a terrible mistake." She said stirring her coffee, unable to meet his eye.

Letting out a sigh she started explaining everything, watching his expression change as in when she said the unexpected. After whatever happened she did have trouble trusting people but she had a strong feeling that something in Jaehyun won't betray her.

He gave the perfect aura of a college flirt but reading him and his body language she figured that he is nothing but a young boy thrown into this industry too early who had to get accustomed to this whole world of formality, just like her, her brother, Yuta, Taeyong and a lot more maybe.

"So that happened." She said placing the now empty coffee cup aside.

Jaehyun was surprised but more like startled, unable to believe that someone could stoop that low, "That's.......that's really a dick move of them, effin cowards." He cursed.

Nara laughed at his frowned face, a sincere one after a long time and as for Jaehyun, he felt good that he could make the girl smile a bit.

Jaehyun met Nara the first time when Yuta brought her to the Jung's Charity Ball where he saw his old friend Yuta, standing there with this wonderful girl who was sitting in front of her. He had always admired Nara from far. Even though she wasn't much of a public figure but still was quite name among the industrial laureates, a lot of hearts were broken when the industry got to know that Kim Nara got married. For Jaehyun, it was something like a crush that a senior high school lad had on a innocent junior.

"So did you try taking back your stolen project?" Jaehyun enquired.

"How could I, those papers have my signature and it was my fault that I didn't pay attention to them." She replied shaking her head.

Jaehyun nodded dully in reply but then his eyes widened all of a sudden, "Did you perhaps apply for the patent rights?" He asked excitedly.

Nara tried recollecting her memory back to the day when Doyoung was mad at the lawyer for not signing his application, "Yes, Doyoung did but it didn't get accepted cause the project was still under development." She replied.

"Does Doyoung still have those application papers?" He asked with a little hope in his eyes, "It will be great for you if he does."

"I guess he does, wait let me ask him." She said and unlocked her phone to call Doyoung. After having a short conversation with him she turned back to Jaehyun, "He still has them in his office." Nara said and this was enough to bring a smile on Jaehyun's face.

"Now take your lawyer there with those papers." He said with a wide grin as he laid back on his chair.

Nara looked confused, what would the lawyer do with rejected application papers, "And what will happen with that?" She asked.

Jaehyun smiled at her and pulled his chair a little closer to the table as he bent forward to explain everything in detail, "See with those papers, you might not get back the project but you'll still get paid for it, like it's a proof that you were the original creator of it." He said.

Deciphering the situation Nara understood Jaehyun's motive, "So it will look like I might've given the project but it wasn't their creation hence I can take a particular sum of money from the profits they make through that?" She asked.

"Yes!" Jaehyun replied enthusiastically.

Nara couldn't contain her happiness, although they weren't sure if their idea would work or not but Jaehyun was an experienced man in terms of all these and there was at least a slightest chance that she could get back her work.

"Jaehyun if this works out, I'd owe you my life." She said expressing her gratitude.

"Aye don't say like that, you were in trouble and as your new found friend I should help you." He said proudly which caused to break into a laugh, "Yes you are my friend." She cheekily emphasising on the word 'friend'.

They both spoke for a couple of minutes until Nara had to leave since she had a doctor's appointment. Even if Nara and Jaehyun just spoke for an hour, they clicked so well. Nara didn't have much friends, apart from Jieun so opening up was something she did only to a selective people.

Nara and Jaehyun were standing outside the cafe as they were waiting for their respective drivers, " So what's with the doctor's appointment?" Jaehyun asked.

"Nothing much actually, I just have been feeling a little unwell since the past couple of weeks, maybe too much stress or something." She shrugged

"Are you going alone, shall I come with you?"

"No actually Doyoung made sure I go with Jieun so I guess she might already be at the hospital." With that their drivers had arrived as they both bid their goodbyes and drove away.

The hospital was just ten minutes away, she reached the place and went to the floor which Jieun had texted her. She saw that Jieun was already waiting there, "You're suppose to run a few preliminary tests before meeting the doctor." She said handing Nara a slip which mentioned the tests.

"Okay." Nara replied and went to the room number mentioned on the slip. It took half an hour for all the tests after which she was ready to meet the doctor.

Nara knocked on the doctors door when a 'come in' was heard and they both entered the cabin. "Ms.Kim Nara right?" She asked fixing her glasses as she read out the patient's slip.

"Yes, thats me" Nara said taking a seat and Jieun took the adjacent one.

"So tell me Nara, whats the problem."

"Well from the past couple of weeks I've been feeling very tired even by doing nothing, my limbs feel heavy, I feel nauseous sometimes, headaches are constant, sudden dizziness out of no where." She described as she listed her problems while the doctor listened carefully.

"How about your periods, did you get them?" She asked.

"Uh I did but it was like mere spotting, not like the usual."

The doctor nodded at her reply as she pressed her lips into a thin line, "Nara, have you been sexually active?" She asked which caused Jieun to surprisingly look at Nara.

Nara hesitated to give a reply but she was a doctor, she had to be frank with her, "Yes I was." She sighed. Nara did get a hint of where this whole situation was going, she wasn't naive but she was still confident because she assumed that she had normal periods.

The doctor sighed and wrote something down on the prescription, "I might have to conduct an ultrasound Nara." She said, "Come with me." The doctor took Nara to the neighbouring room as Jieun followed both of them.

The doctor asked Nara to lay down on the bed placed beside the machine and told her to lift her shirt up a little. Doing so she poured a little gel on her stomach and glided the transducer through it.

Jieun who was sitting on the stool beside the bed had her attention concentrated on the screen of the machine even though she didn't understand anything. Nara was very anxious as she tightly held Jieun's hand while the doctor was examining the monitor.

Placing the transducer aside the doctor turned back to Nara with a smile,

"Congratulations Nara, you're pregnant."
