Mrs Kapoor-Sanskaar I don't know if I have much time on Earth.

She spoke with weak shaky voice looking at Sanskaar with moist eyes while Sanskaar looked at her with confusion

Sanjana closed her eyes, tears rolling down from her eyes

Mrs Kapoor-I'm suffering through brain tumor and doctor said they need to operate me as soon as possible.But the operation is risky, anything can happen if they fails to remove the tumor successfully then I can slip into coma.

Sanskaar widened his eyes being horrified and Sanjana closed her mouth to suppress her sob

Mrs Kapoor-I know I'm a very selfish woman, because of me sujata died.Because of me you lost your childhood but trust me I didn't do it for my own happiness, I did it for my daughter, I'm a very selfish mother Sanskaar. I & Ram loved each other since our college days.We wanted to get married but my parents created misunderstandings between us after that they got me engaged with someone but I broke that engagement and wanted to come back to Ram but I got to know he left the city already. I tried a lot to contact him but I couldn't find him.Years passed and one day we met again and we cleared the misunderstandings between us but I got to know that he still loves me, then we got married but after marriage he confessed he was hiding a big truth from me.He told me before our marriage he was already married with your mother and you were a new born baby then. I asked him to divorce me but he didn't wanted to leave me , he said he can't spend his life with Sujata and he's going to give her divorce.He pleaded me to support his decision because he can't live without me, I couldn't leave him seeing him so vulnerable but I felt so guilty whenever I remembered Sujata.Oneday I took a decision of leaving him coz I didn't wanted to break Sujata's marriage as she & her son , YOU needed Ram.But before I could leave the house I fainted, I was feeling unwell since few weeks.Then I got to know I was pregnant, thinking about my child I became selfish I couldn't leave him because our child , Sanjana needed her father.

Sanskaar closed his fist feeling raged

He breathed heavily as anger boiled inside him

How easily these two people out of selfishness kept cheating on his mother

He thought and felt disgusted

Mrs Kapoor looked away as she couldn't look at Sanskaar anymore after confessing the shameful truth

Sanjana stood still, expressionless

Mrs Kapoor continued

Mrs Kapoor-Ram was so happy after he got to know we were having a baby.He decided to give divorce to Sujata confessing the truth infront of her and I said nothing about it.
When I got to know that Sujata committed suicide, I felt disgusted with myself. I wanted to bring you in our house, to make you a part of our family, to give you the rights you deserved.But Ram knew how much you hated us, he was scared that you won't ever accept us and he was scared you can even take your anger out on Sanjana so he took decision to send you to best hostel where you could get best care and guidance.

"I don't want to hear all this nonsense anymore" Sanskaar whisper yelled gritting his teeth with anger

Mrs Kapoor joined her hands infront of him with teary eyes

Mrs Kapoor-I know I and Ram did wrong with you and your mother but Sanjana always wanted to meet her brother, without knowing you also she loved you, wanted to have her brother beside her.She hates Ram for his mistakes and even she's angry with me for all this.
She's not like selfish like us Sanskaar and I'm scared if something happens to me then she'll distance herself from Ram totally and then nobody will be there to take care of her.She is an innocent girl, she needs her father or brother to protect her.Please don't hate her because of our sins, I'm begging you Sanskaar please accept her as your sister and take care of her.Maybe I'll die or will slip into coma before something happens to me I want to know that there'll be someone to take care of my daughter.Can you please fulfill my last wish?

She pleaded with choked voice, tears rolling down her eyes

Sanskaar looked at Sanjana and recalled the moments they spent together

He recalled her calling him Bhai with so much love

And he recalled Ragini's words that whatever happened Sanjana wasn't guilty about anything

A part of him wanted to scream out loud that he doesn't cares about them that they don't deserve any favors from him

But another part of him felt bad for Sanjana

Once he has suffered a lot without a family, without a mother's love

And now Sanjana is going to suffer like him

He felt today Sanjana is standing where he stood years ago

And the important thing is Sanjana is as innocent as Sanskaar was in his childhood

He felt the need, the responsibility to protect HIS SISTER at that moment and he knew Ragini's words are true

He hated and still hates Ram and his second wife but because of that hatred he can't let his sister suffer because HE ISN'T AS SELFISH AS HIS FATHER

Sanjana was silent, she was feeling uncomfortable to look at Sanskaar and she thought she knew Sanskaar's obvious answer but she looked at him shocked when Sanskaar spoke the unexpected words

Sanskaar-I'll take care of Sanjana.

Sanjana couldn't blink her eyes and kept looking at him in disbelief while Mrs Kapoor smiled feeling relieved

Sanskaar stood up and looking at the entrance he spoke softly

Sanskaar-Just because you confessed I can't forgive you and your husband.But you're already suffering and I don't want to hurt you in your this state! I can never forgive both of you for snatching everything from me but I'm not so selfish like Mr Kapoor that I'll run away from fulfilling my responsibilities!
You don't need to worry about Sanjana anymore, from now onwards I'll always take care of her!

Sanjana bowed her head feeling burdened with his favor but deep inside she felt happy to get her brother back

Mrs Kapoor smiled with moist eyes, gratefulness clearly visible in her eyes

Mrs Kapoor-Thank you Sanskaar.

She whispered softly and Sanskaar noded as silent response

He looked at Sanjana and through eyes he signed her that he's leaving the cabin and waiting for her outside

Sanjana noded smiling at him

Ram walked towards his wife's cabin and stopped on his track seeing Sanskaar sitting on a chair outside the cabin

The shock caught him off guard

Ram-Sanskaar, you're here?

His whispery voice came out of his mouth and
Sanskaar looked at him, his jaw clenching hard

Sanskaar-I'm here because Sanjana wanted me here.

Ram-So you know who's she?

His questions made him Sanskaar irritated

Sanskaar rolled his eyes and replied with his usual rude tone

Sanskaar-Yes I'm glad that at least Sanjana confessed everything while some people as usual kept secrets!

Ram rubbed his Temple with his thumb feeling stressed and angry with Sanskaar's taunting

Ram-Can you for once speak nicely with your father?

Sanskaar chucked as if he just cracked a stupid joke

Sanskaar-Oh thanks for reminding me Mr Kapoor that I've a father.But sorry to say I won't change myself for ANY STRANGER.
And I don't understand why are you wasting your precious time talking with me instead of going inside and meeting your sick wife? You do care about her at least, don't you?

He mocked at Ram

Ram-I can't deal with your arrogance right now so excuse me.

Ram rolled his eyes and walked inside the cabin

At college canteen

Ragini is shown sitting at a corner seat checking her phone restlessly

Seeing her dull face anybody can understand she's going through some stress

She dialed a number and placed her phone near her ear suddenly she her eyes fell on canteen entrance hearing a loud ringtone of someone's phone

Finally she took a sigh of relief seeing the person entering canteen whom she was calling

His eyes fell on her as he cut the call and look around

They looked at each other trying to have a conversation through eyes

Sanskaar smiled a little giving Ragini assurance that he's ok and the situation isn't out of control

Sanskaar walked towards Ragini's table holding Sanjana's hand and Ragini smiled widely seeing their newly developed bond

He made Sanjana sit on a chair and forwarded a glass of water to her and Ragini kept looking at her with admiration

Sanskaar walked towards the counter and ordered a bowl of soup and orange juice for Sanjana

Waiter served the food to her and Sanskaar spoke softly holding Sanjana's hand

Sanskaar-I know what you're going through now but you need to eat something, have the soup , I'm here with you.

Sanjana noded her head looking at him and took a sip of the orange juice

Finally Sanskaar looked at Ragini again , Ragini was about to speak something but before she could do that Sanskaar grabbed Ragini's hand gently and dragged her a little away from Sanjana

RagSan sat at separate table from Sanjana

Ragini waited for him to start talking

Sanskaar rubbed his face with his palm feeling exhausted then looked at Ragini

Sanskaar-I never thought that something unexpected gonna happen today. I thought I was the only one who has suffered a lot from childhood but today I got to know even without any mistake Sanjana is also going through a lot.
Her mom is suffering from brain tumor, tomorrow is her operation and bad thing is Doctor said there's 50% chance that either she'll survive or she'll slip into coma if the operation fails.

Ragini covered her mouth with her palm, her eyes widened with shock

Sanskaar rubbed his neck taking a deep breath

Sanskaar-And the reason she wanted to meet me is, she wants me to accept Sanjana as my sister and to take care of her.Call me selfish, I still can't forgive her but I couldn't say no to her seeing her fighting with death.
And honestly Ragini I think you're right whatever bad happened with me Mr Kapoor and Mrs Kapoor are responsible for that , not Sanjana.
She's in my place now and I don't want to leave her alone in this state.
Maybe I'm not a good brother but I'm not inhuman also.So I decided I would do everything to fulfill my responsibilities towards her.

He finished his words and looked at Ragini expectantly waiting for her reply

He felt relaxed as soon Ragini wrapped her soft palm around his hand, her touch erased the anxiety built inside him

Ragini-First of all you're not a bad brother.If you were then Sanjana would have never loved and respected you so much, and secondly forgetting your own sorrow, your anger & hatred when you felt worried about her , when you decided to take care of her it proved, you have a pure heart.
You're the best brother for Sanjana, and I'm sure Sanjana gonna agree with this.

She rubbed the back of Sanskaar's palm affectionately and her words made Sanskaar feel light-headed

Sanskaar-I don't know but I'll try my best to become the best brother for her.

He spoke softly

Ragini just noded her head smiling mildly at him

Sanskaar-Sorry I was cutting your calls coz I didn't wanted to talk infront of Sanjana. I hope you understand?

Ragini noded her head again and stood up to leave making Sanskaar confused

Ragini-I was waiting for you and now I need to leave, I have to find Siara and also have to attend my next class so see you later.

She spoke with a smile

But Sanskaar felt annoyed seeing her leaving so soon

He grabbed Ragini's wrist and looked at her with pleading gaze

Sanskaar-Can't you stay with me for a little more Ragini?

Ragini patted on his hand smiling gently

Ragini-I really need to go now, we can meet later.For now Sanjana needs you so you need to stay with her.

Sanskaar understood her words and left her hand

Ragini-So bye?

Sanskaar-See you soon.

He smiled at her and she walked towards the entrance to leave the place while Sanskaar kept looking at her moving figure until she disappeared from there

He stood up and walked towards Sanjana

He sat beside her and noticed she didn't even touched the bowl of soup and instead she's lost in her thoughts

Sanskaar held her shoulder gently shaking her

She came out of her thoughts and looked at Sanskaar without expressions

Sanskaar raised his thumbs near her face and wiped the tears from her face

Sanskaar-She'll survive, she'll be fine.Just pray and stay strong hmm?

Sanjana burst into tears hugging Sanskaar's hand

Sanjana-Thank you Bhai, thank you for everything.

She spoke with whispery voice

Sanskaar wiped her face with his napkin and forwarded a spoonful soup near her mouth

Sanskaar-You need to drink it, come on open your mouth.

He asked her with bossy yet Caring tone and like an obedient child Sanjana opened her mouth and drank the soup , her eyes twinkling with tears and happiness

Finally she got her brother back now she just wants her mother to get fine

Three weeks passed and during this period Sanskaar and Sanjana faced many ups and downs but this difficulties made their bond stronger

Sanskaar never failed to support Sanjana and took care of her like an ideal guardian when Mrs Kapoor stayed in coma for 20days

Sanjana was loosing her all hopes but Sanskaar's support didn't let her to get broken

And then when they finally heard the news of Mrs Kapoor coming back to life from coma state Sanskaar felt happy to see Sanjana's smiling face

Though Sanskaar's relationship with his father and step mother was still non-existent but he proved himself as best brother and Mrs Kapoor felt lucky that she got a son like Sanskaar

And she couldn't stop feeling guilty for a second also for ruining his childhood

During this time Sanskaar and Ragini managed to find excuses to spend time with each other

Their feelings growing more stronger for each other

They felt complete in each other's presence

Girl's Hostel room

Ragini came out of bathroom towel wrapped her petite frame

She took another towel from wardrobe and stood infront of the mirror while wiping her wet hair with the towel

She looked at her glowing face reflecting on the mirror and her eyes widened with utter shock noticing something

She shrieked with horror noticing someone sitting on her bed while staring at her intently

She automatically turned around and covered herself with the towel which she was using to wipe her hair

Her heart beating faster than she ever felt, her cheeks blooming like cherry flowers because of embarrassment

And he just smirked noticing his effect on Ragini

Ragini-What..are.. you..doing here?

She spoke with low tone making it almost impossible to hear her words

But he heard it clear

He walked towards her locking his eyes with her's

Ragini breathed heavily taking back steps to avoid his closeness

When she felt the cold wall against the soft skin her half bare back she found it impossible to escape from him

He kept his one hand against the wall just beside her neck and his another hand grabbed her slim waist pulling her closer to him

Ragini-Sanskaar..what are you doing?

She spoke with her choked voice as she felt her throat getting dry

Sanskaar-You don't know what I'm doing? I'm going to claim your lips.

He winked at her mischievously and leaned near her lips while his one hand unwrapped the second towel from her body

Ragini closed her eyes blushing like a strawberry

Ragini-Why?

She asked innocently with her closed eyes and she heard his reply which made her heart to dance inside her ribcage and butterflies roaming inside her stomach

Sanskaar-Because you're mine, just mine Ragini.

He cooed with husky voice and his lips touched her soft lips

Suddenly she jerked hearing the loud ringtone of her phone

She parted her heavy eyelids only to find herself laying on the bed covered with blanket

She sat on the bed and looked around placing her palm on her heart

Realization striking her that everything she witnessed wasn't real but her imagination, a DREAM

Ragini banged her forehead with her palm mentally slapping her for seeing such a stupid dream

Her heart is really beating faster than normal and felt embarrassed realizing what kind of dream she was seeing about herself and Sanskaar

Ragini-Raginii..how could you, you stupid girl!

She yelled at herself feeling shy & confused

Ragini-Why am I dreaming about Sanskaar?That too such kind of dream!God please help me!

She covered her face with her palms blushing profusely

Her phone rang again grabbing her attention

She looked at the phone screen and found Siara calling her

Ragini-Oh god I'm so late today, I'm gonna miss the first class!

She screamed panicking and ran towards washroom to get freshen

A girl in ciffon saree is shown walking through the college corridor

Her silky hair hanging loose on one side of her shoulder

As she walked with an attitude she grabbed the attention of the students and teachers who were passing by

Everyone looked at her with admiration seeing her Beauty and attitude and for a moment they forgot where they were heading to

On the other side a guy is shown coming with a speed wearing roller shoes

The guy was clearly in hurry and was looking at his watch when suddenly he dashed with the girl in saree

The sudden crash made them to loose their balance the girl felt she's going to fall on the hard ground but she felt relieved when the guy, the trouble maker himself held her by her shoulder and saved her from touching the ground

She looked at him with a thankful smile

And he just got Freezed in his position seeing her attractive face and Beautiful smile

He took a deep breath , his mouth left open with surprise

Ragini who was walking towards her class , stopped a little away seeing the guy and the new face standing with him

Ragini-Sanskaar?

She looked at him in shock, seeing him standing so close with the unknown Beautiful girl, his arms still wrapped around her shoulders..

Sanskaar's eyes fell on Ragini who was looking at him with shocked expression

And just then he realized in which position he is standing right now

Ragini looked at his arms which are wrapped around the unknown girl and then looked back at Sanskaar

She felt something pinching her heart

Sanskaar left unwrapped his arms and took a step away from the girl

Sanskaar-Ra..Ragini.Good morning.

He smiled with difficulty gulping down the lump and Ragini's eyes burnt with anger and she kept glaring at Sanskaar and the unknown girl with narrowed eyes.
