She noded her head negetively as her words came out like a soft whisper

Her soft palm covering his mouth sent a warm shiver through his body making him still

Sanskaar sat down in a corner hugging his legs looking at the ceiling

Ragini moved near him and simply sat beside him bowing her head

Sanskaar-I asked you something, tell me why?

He asked her softly

Ragini-I.. I don't know! I don't know why but I feel pain when I see you so broken!Maybe because I can feel your pain because I have gone through something alike that!Though I haven't tolerated so much but I have also lost someone very precious, though I still have this hope that oneday I'll have that person in my life again!

Sanskaar for a moment looked at her blankly then questioned

Sanskaar-Who is that person?

Tears made it's away from Ragini's beautiful eyes to her soft cheeks

Ragini-My twin sister, her name was Siara and I used to call her lovely!Elder than me by 4 minutes!

Sanskaar-Oh that's why you are so over protective about your bestie Siara? I guess she reminds you of your twin sister?

Ragini simply noded her head in positive

Sanskaar-What happened to your sister?

He asked hesitantly as his palm covered her hand

Ragini-It was our Birthday, we were three years old, we were celebrating our Birthday with our mom and dad suddenly few black masked men came from nowhere and surrounded us!Actually my dad once got a criminal arrested and he threatened to come back and take revenge on dad, and those men were sent by him only, they tried to take me and my sister with them by injuring mom and dad.Don't remember how but my mom saved me from them but my parents couldn't save my sister from them!They injured dad badly and escaped from there taking my sister with them! After that incident Dad and police searched my sister but they couldn't find her!Mom was so broken and I was like lifeless body, so my dad decided to leave from here taking us away from the painful memories! It's been 16years we lost her and my parents left all hopes to find her but not me!

Sanskaar looked at her carefully

Sanskaar-Your family used to stay here 16years back?

Ragini simply noded her head

Sanskaar-Where?

Ragini was about to answer him but stopped suddenly as her gaze shifted on his injured hand

She stood up forgetting his question

Ragini-Sanskaar wait for me , I'll come back in a while!

Saying so she turned to leave the place but stopped when felt his palm wrapped around her wrist stopping her movements

She looked back at him being confused

His eyes making silent request to her not to go away

Sanskaar-Don't go leaving me, stay with me please!

Ragini knelt down infront of him smiling at him mildly

Ragini-I'm not leaving you, I'm just going to bring first-aid kit.Your wound is bleeding, you need first aid!

Sanskaar-No I don't need first aid, I need you, please stay with me.I'll feel good!

Ragini-But..

Sanskaar kept his index finger on her lips making her hush

Holding her wrist in a farm grip he pulled her near him & made her sit beside him

Ragini sat silently while covering his wound with her scarf with utmost care

Sanskaar leaned towards her and kept his head on her shoulder while he closed his eyes

They didn't know for how long they stayed like this but both felt peace with each other's touch with each other's presence around them

Ragini is still holding Sanskaar's hand and his head still resting on her shoulder

Suddenly she spoke softly

Ragini-Let it go Sanskaar!Let the fear go, face the situation!Speak to Sanjana for once then decide what to do!Or else maybe you will regret in future that you didn't do right by ignoring her pleadings!

Ragini felt his body getting stiff as her words entered his brain

Sanskaar kept silent and pulled himself away from her

Looking at nowhere, lost in his thoughts

Ragini-Sanskaar?Ok fine I won't talk anymore about this topic, come let's go to sick room and please let me do your first aid!

She stated with a pleading tone keeping her hand on his shoulder, shaking him lightly

Ragini stood up tugging at his jacket's sleeve

Looking at her Sanskaar stayed unmoved stubbornly, making it difficult for Ragini to make him stand

As she pulled him with a good force and co-incidentally Sanskaar too stood up and because of their acts Ragini almost fell against him accidentally

It's because of Sanskaar's reflex action that he managed to hold her and himself steady or else they would have touch the ground

Ragini looked at him innocently embraced in his arms

Ragini-Sorry for the trouble!

She murmured with low tone

Sanskaar couldn't hear what she said, he just kept watching her cute lips moving continuously

Ragini-Umm you can leave me now!

She told him pointing at his arms which are wrapped around her

Sanskaar noded and left her

In Canteen

Sanjana was sobbing badly, Tina felt bad for her

She approached near her and kept her hand on Sanjana's shoulder

And Sanjana started crying more bitterly hugging Tina tightly

Sanjana-Bhai hates me so much!He won't listen to me, He won't forgive me!

Manik-Nobody can forgive a backstabber!Why should he trust you?Why should he listen to you when you already broke his trust?Broke everyone's trust?

Manik spoke angrily

Laksh-Actually it's our fault also , we should not have trusted an stranger and shouldn't have included her to our group! It's all because of you Tina, without knowing anything about her you forced us to make Sanjana our friend!Since so many years we five people are friends and we never let any stranger to become our friend but because of your callousness today our friend is in so much pain!

Laksh's voice filled with anger and accusations

Tina kept silent not able to look back at them as they are right

Manik-Your dad and mom already ruined Sam's life, is there something left that you also came back to his life to make his already miserable life more pathetic? Can't you see him in peace?

Sanjana-Enough Manik enough of your accusations! I won't tolerate one more word!

She growled with fury as she stood up and stepped towards Manik

Holding his collar making all of them shocked she shook him vigorously

Sanjana-Yes I have been lying, yes I kept my identity a secret but I'm not a backstabber and definitely I'm not here to hurt my brother!Yes I'm his step sister but still he is something to me and I can never think of making him miserable.I'm here to mend some broken relations, I'm here to make a place in his life for me being his sister I can expect this much!You must be very happy right that you successfully exposed me infront of me, you have fulfilled a friend's duty but tell me onething isn't it true that your impulsive act left him broken? Don't you think you are also a reason for his state now? I would have said my truth to him soon but after winning his trust. She left his collar pushing him away from her

He walked towards Laksh and stood infront of him with stiff face

Sanjana-You think I'm the reason of his pain so I never deserved to be a part of your group?Ok fine I agree I'm the reason, but you all are his friends na then what are you doing here?Why didn't you guys followed him and tried to lighten his mood? You know why because you are afraid of that he will push you away but I didn't feared about that. I knew he will hate him still I came here because I care about the relationship between us!If I wanted to give him pain I would have done that long back. I was hiding my identity so that he could understand that I care for him and that whatever happened I wasn't at fault because of that! Though we never met in childhood, though I'm not important for him but still I can't ignore the fact that he is the closest person after my mom! I know he is Angry and hurt but I wanted to heal his wounds, I know I can't imagine how much pain he went through but when I have a chance I wanted to let him know that I don't support what dad did with him and Sujata mom!

She broke down with tears

Sanjana-I'll leave from here but I will always feel bad when I'll think about this incident and know that I didn't get a chance to win my brother's affection because of you!

She gave a glance at Manik, her teary eyes making him feel guilty for the current situation

In Sickroom

After applying antiseptic cream on Sanskaar's wound Ragini started wrapping the bandage around his wound but suddenly frowned feeling irritated about something

Sanskaar shrunk his eyes noticing the change of expression on her cute face

Sanskaar noticed that some hairlocks are falling on Ragini's face making her annoyed as it's getting hard for her to concentrate on her work

And she is continuously blowing air on her hair-locks to move them from her face while wrapping the bandage around his wound

A smile crawled on his lips seeing Ragini's childish act and her cute annoyed expressions

His free hand unknowingly moved towards her beautiful face even before he could decide and touching her hair-locks softly his fingers tucked them behind her ear

Feeling his touch Ragini looked at him

As soon as their eyes met they felt an overwhelming feeling hammering their hearts making it difficult to keep their heart beats normal which are racing right now

"Thanks" both spoke together making each other speechless

Sanskaar-Umm no need!Thank you Ragini for the first aid and..

Ragini-And?Well I did what I felt right..

Sanskaar-Thanks for staying with me when I needed someone badly, thanks for feeling my pain instead of making fun of me.And thanks for understanding me instead judging me!
We aren't friends; we aren't rivals anymore, I don't know exactly what's our equation is but you made me feel better and your presence soothed my burning heart!
I have never shown my weakness my pain infront of anyone, not even infront of my friends but today I felt light hearted after sharing my pain ,fear and weaknesses with you! Nobody ever made me feel what you made me feel. I felt I'm not alone and thank you so much for joining the broken pieces of me!

His every word every sentence depicted genuine gratitude

His words splashed a cool sensation in Ragini's heart

But at the same time his words made her confused and restless

"We aren't friends; we aren't rivals anymore, I don't know exactly what's our equation is" his words ringed in her brain making her heart thump with more speed

Being lost in her chain of thoughts she tied the knot of bandage

Sanskaar pulled away his hand from her grip and at the very moment Ragini felt she lost something precious

Both felt incomplete at the loss of each other's protective warmth

Sanskaar-I want me to talk to Sanjana?I'll do it, it's not because there's unfortunately a connection between us, I'll do it because you feel it will be better for me!

Ragini noded her head silently

They both left the Sickroom

Walking in the corridor together both stayed silent

When both decided to speak something at the same time they both looked at each other

Both smiled lightly

Then Ragini forwarded her hand towards Sanskaar making him shocked

Ragini-You have asked me this twice previously but I didn't accepted but today I'm asking you ; will you be my friend Sanskaar? Forgetting our past fights and differences can we become friends?

The sudden surprise made Sanskaar smile widely and seeing his charming smile Ragini felt she was missing and craving to see this smile only

Sanskaar looked at her hand which she's forwarding towards him

His eyes gleamed with sudden happiness

He took her hand for a handshake smiling at her and Ragini returned the smile back to him
