Before History
The Prologue
No one would have guessed such would happen on the stormy night of 1995. A young lady and her boyfriend ran through the streets of Beacon Hills, a newborn baby wrapped in the woman's arms. It cooed and cried, foreshadowing of the terrifying moments to come. Thunder sounded and lightning struck and it was as if the gods and goddesses were angry, their cries being heard all throughout the small town. Arrows whizzed past the couples' heads but they were lucky enough to dodge them, turning a corner on the street of a wealthy neighborhood. They were in trouble and they needed to find somewhere safe for the baby, knowing they wouldn't be able to keep it for long. When they knew they lost the hunters for a moment, they ran up to a big house which made them more relieved for their baby. They knew it would be safe and sound from harm's way, at least for as long as they could possibly want.
"We have to let her go." The man murmured to her as they walked up to the stairs.
The woman whimpered as she set her baby down on the top step, making sure the baby girl was comfortable in her blanket. She then tucked away a folded up piece of paper with 'to whom it concerns' written on it. "I love you, Rosalie. Forever and always. We will meet again." With that, the blonde knelt down and pressed a quick kiss to the wailing baby's forehead.
As they heard rapid footsteps in the distance, the man knocked on the door and with one last look at their precious child they ran off. They saved enough time for whoever was living in the house to open the door and grab the baby from the rain.
"It's okay, sweetheart. You're home." The lady murmured as she hugged the baby close to her chest. She looked outside, hoping to catch sight of the person that left the baby in the rain. Whoever it was, she knew they must not be able to care for the child.
