     CARLA ALFARO BELIEVED IN THE POWER OF THE BEYOND. While her mother taught her to praise The Lord and that she shouldn't miss going to Church on Sundays, she wasn't religious. She merely believed that there was some higher power that watched over them after setting their fates in the stars. To her there wasn't such thing as God and she despised the people who acted like their hands were one of Midas. That's what made her want to become a person who made the world a better place.

Like in any other superhero story, she wanted to look out for the little guy and help those who couldn't help themselves. Except she didn't look at herself as a superhero; she lacked the fancy suit to be genius billionaire that is Tony Stark and the strength to be the Superman, but at least she had determination and extremely stubborn mindset that got her in and out of lots of trouble. If anything, she was more like Harry Potter.

As the years passed she got more successful making her more noticed by her superiors and move up the ranks quickly. She worked from place to place, with many powerful and successful agents alike. Until the accident that struck her own family and lead her back to her hometown. Abruptly changing her whole life by moving back home and settling in Des Plaines' police department set her back a few steps from achieving her whole potential. Yet she never regretted it — protecting her only living family was more important than her own needs and hopes.

Until her future came on knocking down her door, delivering the man she has avoided the last few months upon returning home. Aaron Hotchner was determined to make Carla Alfaro a part of him team for quite some time. It was just luck that BAU picked her case and travelled all the way to Illinois to work it.
