THE FABRIC had been pulled up and exposed once smooth and tan skin, now simply a strip of discolored blues and purples painful to the touch. this had been tested by the blondes curious fingertips wanting to trace the mark that the seatbelt had left across his friends chest.

"don't do that." hoseok smacked away the smaller boys hands.

taehyung had winced, but he still giggled at the way jimin looked up with innocent eyes, simply wanting to touch the bruise. "now i'm glad we weren't invited to dinner." jimin said.

hoseok smacked the side of his arm again. "stop that." he scolded.

he was laughing lightly, so taehyung obviously didn't mind too much that his friend was making light of the situation. "how's jungkook doing?" hoseok asked, changing the subject from one lovesick male to another.

"show me the ring." jimin gushed, bouncing on the bed with legs crossed and hopeful eyes. he held onto he brunettes hand for maybe ten minutes just staring at the pretty band and little diamonds decorating it.

"he's doing better, just a headache and feeling sore." taehyung said.

it had been a couple days since the night of the accident. right now the three friends were sitting in what was left of jungkooks apartment, which happened to only be his mattress on the ground while him and namjoon moved everything to the new house. the guys came to help, but taehyung wanted them to see the house for the first time one barbecue night and not after moving all day when everyone was tired and sweaty.

"he should be resting." jimin pointed out. after being in a car accident like that, the youngest shouldn't be lifting heavy boxes and moving couches. taehyung had already argued with him this morning, but the puppy eyes didn't work and all he got was a kiss on the cheek and small smile before jungkook left in the van. "don't worry i already told him i'm very unhappy with him not being in this bed." taehyung said.

no one else could say anything more, because the door flung open and banged against the wall with such force it scared them all, even the one that came barging in. "oh shit is there a draft in here?" jin jumped after he had swung the door open and it moved a lot easier then he had expected.

"dude i know you liked making entrances but that was a bit much." jimin said.

"whatever," the oldest had already moved on to a new topic. "we're going grocery shopping so hop in the car kids — and jungkook told me to make you stay in bed." jin said while pointing at taehyung, who was already pouting at the soreness while he stood from the bed.

"that means i'm going, we don't listen to each other." taehyung said. "it's a thing. i don't know if we're proud of it yet."

they didn't argue, because the new issue was deciding who'd be the one to push taehyung in the shopping carriage through the store. once they were all in jin's car, he glanced up through the mirror and grinned, "seatbelts everyone, we don't want any accidents."

taehyung glared at him and kicked the back of his seat, "don't be a dick."

"don't be disrespectful." jin shot back.

"don't be a dick, hyung."

"thank you for addressing me properly," the eldest nodded in approval and proceeded to pull out and onto the street.

they sang to girlgroups songs with their whole souls on the way to the store. there was the occasional dance routine attempt done by the younger boys in the backseat but taehyung would continue hitting his bruise and jimin would stop to choke from laughing at him too much. jin really had to try his hardest to pay attention to the road and not aim for that high note after the bridge.

the lock of the car doors echoed in the parking garage and their laughs sooner overpowered that noise. every moment seemed to have some odd joke that had one laughing and tripping and the others soon making fun of that instead of the actual punch line. hoseok was the first to grab a shopping cart and present the transportation device to the brunette.

taehyung climbed in easily, with a little help from jimin and his hands under his arm pits. "thank you." he smiled and the blonde just messed his hair up a bit.

"so where's the list?" jin had asked and held his palm out. jimin was standing beside him and his eyes widened a bit, looking at his hyungs waiting hand and knowing very well he couldn't provide the needed request. "uh, hobi?" it was jimins turn to hold his hand out.

"tae?" hoseok looked at the boy in the cart who just shrugged, "im the injured one, it wasn't my responsibility to bring the grocery list."

"you guys suck." jin rolled his eyes and carried on into the store, the others following close behind with the shopping cart. it was a mess with the four of them trying to decide what to eat, especially when each of them wanted a different type of meat and then too many sides to choose from. "but the three steaks would be able to feed us all." jin was trying to be reasonable.

"but i want kebabs and joonie likes porkchops." jimin pouted while holding up the two different packages.

"i want lobster." hoseok piped in.

"i want you to be quiet." jin pointed at him and grabbed the various meats, dropping them into the brunettes lap who was more focused on the game on his phone then the actual food. taehyung only reached up to blindly tap at hoseoks chest who was still kindly pushing the cart, "get the lobster, i'll pay." he whispered, and if he looked up from his phone he would have seen the wide smile on his hyungs face.

they were finally on their way back to jungkooks apartment, a long receipt and backseat full of grocery bags to show for their trip. "you think they'll be back yet?" jimin asked. he was hopeful to see his boyfriend, the glances at his phone and tapping of his leg gave this away.

"they should be, jungkook won't stop calling." hoseok said. he could feel the vibration of the pretty brunettes phone against his leg. it was smushed between their touching thighs as they sat close together in the backseat.

taehyung silenced his phone and smiled sheepishly, "he gets clingy." he said.

they pulled up to a free spot on the side of the road, already seeing two boys waiting for their friends. "joonie!" jimin called out the window to his boyfriend who seemed to visibly smile wider once seeing his boy come into view.

"jimin!" he shouted back. neither cared about the stares they received.

taehyung climbed out of the car and was instantly greeted by his boyfriends arms around his shoulders. it was a gentle hug. "aren't you going to shout my name?" he teased the younger.

"next time." jungkook was still hugging him, and his voice was muffled against the brunettes hair. "i missed you." he said.

taehyung smiled. "i missed you too." they finally pulled away, and the smaller boy could see the wound on his fiancés head, just above his temple and exposed by the side part of his dark hair. "how's your head feel?" he asked.

"don't worry."

that meant it hurt. taehyung frowned and nodded, he could get another word in before the ravenette moved to grab some of the grocery bags. "hand me one." taehyung said.

jungkook just shook his head and closed the car door with the back of his boot. "you can hold my hand." he said. there was multiple bags handing from one arm, the other outstretched for his newly named fiancé to take a hold of. he didn't need to be told twice, and taehyung smiled as the group of boys walked up into the apartment building. it was the last day here, and tonight they'd be fully moved into their new home, and no one could wait any longer.
