The sun shined bright in the sky as the birds happily sang of it's arrival, arousing the sleepy population of Lifäen's Kingdom as the river shimmered in the light as it flowed endlessly to lands unknown.

The hills soon filled with shepherds bringing they're sheep to graze.
All but one.
And on that lone hill, slightly apart and higher than the rest, stood King Lifäen's castle who's peeks shadows seemed to gently guard over his people.

Peace had reigned throughout the land ever since Lifäen's family had come to power.
They valued they're people above all else and did whatever they could to assist them.

But weep, for it could not last.
War was unavoidable when the Wolf Bloods, Dragons and Trolls demanded more land for they had grown in numbers and refused to stay under the rule of a race they considered inferior to theirs.

King Lifäen's heart was deeply saddened with grief as he had done his best to reason with them and maintain a semblance of equality among the various races.

He had told these rebellious races that if they no longer accepted him as they're king it was more than reasonable for he was but a mere human.
But that that gave them no right to declare war and ruin the lives of many because of it.
If they needed land he would gladly grant it to them but it would have to be shared else elves and humans would also perish for lack of land to grow they're crops on in order to feed themselves.

But neither of the three rebel races agreed for their minds were clouded by hate so thick that they could not see past it.

The Werecats however were more than content with how things were at present and loathed the thought of sharing they're land with wolves and trolls though the dragons they respected.
Whereas the dwarves were altogether indifferent to the outcome for they forever dwelled underground.
Not even the king and queen knew exactly where underground the dwarves dwelt.
It had gotten to the point that they were considered as mere myths.
War was therefore imminent.

For twelve years these six different races fought one another.
Elves, humans and werecats fought werewolves, dragons and trolls.

One night, on a fool moon when wolf bloods are at they're strongest, the Wolf Bloods laid siege to the castle.
In an attempt to frighten away the wolves, both humans and elves alike, used fire to scare them off by lighting up some torches for they new of the wolves deep fear of it.

But luck did not grace either race.

The king perished in order to protect a servant and gave him his last orders "Protect your Queen and princess".
The Queen however was severely injured.
Werecats died but most managed to flee.
The castle caught fire, dragons attacked it from above while the trolls distracted the guards and army by breaking down the gates to the city.
The werewolves did they're best to save they're fellow pack members but many died that night.
One young cub however was forgotten among the crumbling ruins in the fire.

It was Princess Alice that noticed him among the flames. Completely passed out, fur singed by the fire and barely breathing.
Alice may have been only six years of age but she was wise all the same and understood and often knew much more than she led on to.
Alice was also very caring towards all races but as a mere child nobody ever seemed to take her opinions seriously.

So when she looked at the Wolf Blood amidst the ruins; she did not see an enemy.
All she saw was a vulnerable Wolf Blood that was maybe only two or three years older than her that needed her help and an ally.

Maybe this was destiny.
Maybe this was her chance to do her share to help her kingdom.

Picking him up as best she could, she then sprinted underground to a tunnel not even the elf queen and human king (her parents) were aware of.

She would wait there till the fire ended and the wolf awoke so that they could then walk among the various races and prove that Wolf Bloods, humans, elves, were cats, dragons and trolls could live together peacefully if they but set aside they're pride and shared with one another.
Though she wasn't to convinced about the trolls.
Nobody really new what they wanted.
They weren't great in numbers so the land they had wasn't a problem.
What then, drove them to such anger?
Thoughts like this created a storm in the young princesses head.

Alice soon reached her destination.
Before her, in the middle of the dark tunnel stood a miniature version of to double doors.
These doors were made of stone and embellished with precious gems and intricate designs with gold and silver threadings intertwining with each other.

Guarding these doors were three dwarves.

Alice had once stumbled upon this tunnel by mistake while she had been following a white rabbit but had tripped and fell only to find herself in this seemingly endless tunnel where she had met the dwarves.
She had quickly befriended them and had frequently visited them ever since.

"Princess Alice" they greeted in unison as she approached them.
"He... Needs help" Alice panted before falling down limply beside the Wolf Blood she had rescued.
