The Precious Self-sacrificial Brother [Katana/Warrior]
Fanfic: Katana | R. Grayson + Warrior | S. Drake
Portrayed by: Finn Wolfhard
Background: half brother to OC (Sayuri Drake), adoptive brother to the Batboys
Alias: Robin (initially), Red Robin (currently)
Age: 13 to 16
Current Status: Alive
Eye color: Pure Blue
Hair color and type: Deep Brown, curly and reaching down to the neck
Skin color: Pale
Height: 5'5" to 5'7"
Love Interest: Stephanie Brown (minor crush, nothing serious as of yet)
Hobbies: Hacking into complex computer systems (managed to hack into the Batcomputer when he was just 12), reading books, avoiding sleep, playing video games.
Personality: This version of Tim Drake is the youngest and cutest of all the versions I've written though Tim from Oculus | J. Todd is not far behind in that category either.
The prominent personality facts about him are as follows:
• Self sacrificial to a fault
• Does not swear at all (which is a surprise since he lives with Jason who uses a new swearword everyday).
• Has the best comebacks.
• Very protective over his loved ones.
• Is extremely scared of his elder half sister since he knows that if she gets angry, all hell breaks loose. But he also knows that Sayuri cares for him as a mother does for a child and he knows all her anger is due to the fact that she gets concerned for him.
• Does not dislike Damian (contrary to canon in which he initially doesn't like the boy). Tries constantly to befriend the boy but eventually gives up. However, is actually surprised when Damian tries to resolve the differences and eventually the two come to tolerable terms with each other.
• Friendly and polite, not very social but feels comfortable in his small circle of friends and family.
• Very sensitive to other people's feelings and emotions. Will blame himself mostly for causing pain to others even though that's not the case most of the times.
• Curious and inquisitive nature. Will find out the answers to any and every question he has on his own, even if it puts him in danger.
• Struggles to be on friendly terms with Jason since he still feels that he replaced Jay and it hurt the boy when he came back to find another Robin in his place.
• Stephanie Brown is his best friend and pranking buddy. The two pull pranks on the family often and have a record of never getting caught.
• Usually the most rational and composed out of his adoptive siblings. But if his loved ones are in life threatening danger or in pain from any other physical or mental scenario, all his sense and sensibility gets overpowered by concern. In such situations, he gets too worried at times that he is unable to react and usually Richard has to be the one taking care of the situation and bringing him back to normal.
• His worst fears are rejection and failure.
• His favorite adoptive brother is Richard Grayson.
• Person he looks up to most is Alfred Pennyworth.
• Can lie without getting caught, the only people who really know that he's lying are Alfred, Bruce and Sayuri.
Origin story: (modified by me, not canon)
Timothy Drake was the only son of Jack and Janet Drake but had a half sister, Sayuri, due to his father's past fling with a warrior clan leader Nuriko Sasuke.
However, after Nuriko's untimely death, Sayuri was sent to Gotham to live with her father. Tim was a newborn back then.
His parents had a strained relationship which eventually led to a divorce. Tim grew up as a neglected child with the only person who cared for him being his elder sister.
However, Sayuri had to go back when she fifteen and Tim's only company at home ended as well. Back then Batman's sidekick Robin had been murdered by the Joker which tore the vigilante apart so Gotham was already a mess.
Tim managed to hack into the Batcomputer, found out the vigilantes' identities then requested Bruce to train him as Robin. At first, Bruce was not in favor of the idea but eventually agreed.
Jack Drake, who had Tim's custody after divorce, was not aware of his son training to be a Bat vigilante. To him, Tim had said he had taken part in the football team which was an excuse he used for him coming home late and having scuffed knees and lightly bruised knuckles.
But Jack got suspicious when he once saw the football team training yet Tim wasn't with them. Intead of confronting his son instantly, he began to keep watch on him and discovered that he had gotten a lot closer to the Waynes.
The confrontation was not so pleasant as Jack went after Bruce with a gun in hand for trying to take his son away from him and though Bruce tried to make him see sense, the man was terribly angered.
They got into an argument and Bruce was trying his best to calm him down and drop the weapon. But the trigger got pressed when he was trying to wrestle it out of Jack's hands and hit a man who was crossing the alley nearby.
As a result, Jack Drake was sentenced to jail for attempted murder. Later on, Bruce adopted Tim for until the time his father would be freed from prison.
Few years later, Sayuri came back to Gotham and tracked her brother out, learning about her father's imprisonment as well as the fact that Tim now lived with an adoptive family.
Initially she had planned to claim for Tim's custody an bring him home with her but when she saw how fond the boy was his new family, she dropped that decision and eventually befriended the Waynes as well.
