Fanfic: Crushed Cigarettes | J. Todd

Background: Only son of Jack and Janet Drake, heir to the Drake Corporate, adopted by Bruce Wayne after his parents died at the hands of the Obeah Man. Stayed for some time at the Hastings Child Care center too before his adoption.

Hobbies: Hacking, photography, watching action and mystery movies to point out all the loopholes/flaws in the plots, getting abducted (formerly), playing the piano and the violin.

Personality: I know that I usually write Tim as a sweet adorable boy and this portrayal of his is somewhat the same. But there are a few changes to his origin and personality that define who he is so I had to include this version separately.

The prominent personality facts about him are as follows:

• Extreme perfectionist. The habit of always being perfect had been ingrained into his head from a very young age and he can't get rid of it.

• Slightly suicidal and suffers from depression. The root cause for it had been constant neglect from his parents.

• Self-blaming to a fault. Needs to be pulled out of his self-blaming rants forcefully or else he could just go on linking every problem's root cause to his own self.

• A people pleaser and strives to earn the love and affection of his parents. This habit of his had resulted in him getting unhealthily obsessed with being a perfect little boy and it damaged him mentally.

• Found out the identities of Batman and his vigilantes and ever since then he made it a habit of following them around with his camera. He once asked Batman to let him join the vigilantes but was refused.

• However, after his parents died, Richard and Jason convinced Bruce to adopt Tim with the condition that Jay would make sure the boy doesn't get involved in their vigilante life.

• But of course, Jay always finds ways round Bruce's words to piss him off. So he started training Tim on his own and aside from having a brotherly bond between them, they also have a trainer-pupil relationship.

• As a result, Tim respects Jason a lot.

• Very persuasive, has learned how to convince people by being a clingy annoyance to them from Jason.

• Needless to say, his favorite adoptive brother is Jason Todd. He is fond of Richard too but because the man is a police officer, he sometimes gets intimidated by him.

• Used to get kidnapped often but had a habit of annoying the kidnappers by telling them the flaws in their abduction strategies.

• Has a talent for acting and according to Jason, he plays such convincing roles that he could give the whole drama club a run for their money. The role he plays most often is that of being happy and alright even when he is not. The only person who can see through his facade is Alfred and sometimes Jason can guess too.

• There are two sides to his personality. One is the normal side which is intelligent, caring, sweet and dedicated. The other is the caffeine high Tim who's overtly hilarious, laughs a lot, and comes up with ridiculously funny puns.

• Jay adores him nevertheless but his adoration increases threefold when Tim is in caffeine high mode.

• He visits the Hastings Child Care center very often and has become somewhat of a gossip buddy and close friend to Jason's girlfriend Lydia Wright who stays at the center.

Origin story: (slightly altered from canon storyline)

The only difference in the Crushed Cigarettes | J. Todd storyline is that Joker had been killed by Batman before he could murder Jason so Jay never died and never got resurrected.

Tim had hacked into the Batcomputer and found out both Batman and Robin's identities, requesting the two to let him join the team. But he wasn't let in on the team for long, even after Bruce adopted him.

Bruce was strictly against letting Tim join as a vigilante but Jay could never let go of a chance to do the exact opposite of what the man wanted. Hence, Jason began to train Tim in secret with only Alfred knowing about their secret training sessions so that the butler could keep the others from finding out.

Hence, Tim and Jason have a brotherly bond in this story from the very start and he even respects Jay a lot since he views him as his first trainer too.
