Jeongguk hated the swirling tension trapped amongst the room. It felt like someone would pull out a gun and shoot everyone there if they did not stop soon. They just had no motivation to do so.
The young leader was behind a slab of wall, his eyes on the other group who stayed even as them, shooting the same, although their objectives weren't actually to kill any of Jeongguk's members, which brings us back to the questioning of why the quarrel even existed.
That's when Jeongguk's phone buzzed, usually he would ignore it, but since he told Jin to call if something went wrong with Taehyung, he reached in his pocket and fumbled with it until the device reached the surface of the pocket.
He pressed 'accept', since it was indeed Jin who seemed to be calling, but when he placed it to his ear, the voice that boomed from the other side almost gave him a heart attack.
"Jeongguk, you need to stop fighting."
Jeongguk was not an idiot, the way those vocals were so deep and soothing. He knew exactly who this was, right from the first word he spoke, was he going to follow the order of this boy, was the real concern then. Jeongguk already had the whole 'stop the fight' plan running and jabbing at the brim of his skull.
"Don't order me, V." He growled into the receiver. His voice sounding threatening on the other side.
"Look around idiot, you are killing a possible ally, you are killing people that offered to help you, don't be angered over one slip up."
This made Jeongguk mad, his fist balling up, but he filtered himself quickly, not wanting to yell at the boy who just survived a gun shot over the phone.
"You could have died.. they put you in danger, that is clearly enough to make me start a war over them."
Jeongguk sounded, clear; sharp on his confident words. He really meant this and there was no way to back him out of his scheme, his big idea.
"Fine, if war is so important to you, don't look for me when you come back."
Jeongguk felt his heart plummet. A sharp breath inhaling and then he took a look around, blood, bodies, no victory after this. Nobody was going home in pride. He guessed Taehyung was right.
"Fine, I'll stop this." He heard Taehyung chuckle in the back ground. "This is pretty pointless now anyways."
"You're so whipped kook."
"Shut it, or else I'll feed you to some wolves."
"I'd rather be fed to you, Jeon."
Jeongguk let out a groan and hung up, placing his phone in his pocket and standing up, in clear gun shot range now.
He eyed Baekhyun, everyone in that room actually, his mind was twisting and twirling, but he did not care, he wanted this over, so they could ally and make actual improvements.
"I know, I started this, but it was out of rage. Now that I look back at this situation, I shouldn't have been so mad. I know I can't make up for the deaths of your members, but I'd like to talk to you."
Baekhyun had finally smiled once that day, but it was more of a smile of sadness.
"You're insane Jeon. You know that? You'll regret this, come on everyone."
His speech shocked the other members of his team, many expected the random actions of Jeon, but had Baekhyun been prepared? As Baekhyun ordered his gang off the site, Jeongguk following suit.
Jeongguk walked around the car, and back into the base. The two groups had a discussion over whether the two should become friendly with each other. In the end they decided to ally with each other.
Right when Jeongguk opened the door, a tight embrace is what he was welcomed in, it was warming and sweet.
"Welcome back." Taehyung muttered onto Jeongguk's chest as he gripped tighter on the fabric in his palm.
Jeongguk pulled away and immediately lifted up Taehyung's shirt to inspect the bullet wound. The bandages wrapped around him were too old for Jeongguk's liking.
"Jin, get some more bandages."
Jin hustled off into the storage room. He fetched a roll of bandages. They looked like they had never been used.
"Alright, you are going to have to rid of your shirt, Tae."
Jeongguk told him clearly, making a small motion with his hands to emphasize the situation.
"W-what- out here, in front of everyone?" Taehyung asked in fear of being judged, although he knew nobody dared to judge him, since Jeongguk would personally take care of them for that.
"If you don't mind, we can go into my room, if you'd like. I just thought this was quicker." Jeongguk explained lazily, trying to not be bothered with the time being wasted.
"F-fine, but you guys better not say anything." Taehyung growled out after a stutter. This made Jeongguk chuckle before helping Taehyung from his tan shirt that hung on his shoulders loosely.
His bare chest was on display, but just like he said, nobody said anything.
Jeongguk removed the old bandage and traced his hand over the raw skin that was wounded around the bullet hole. The wound was bleeding slightly, so Jeongguk quickly wiped it, gently swiping over the wound, not missing the hiss of pain from Taehyung above him.
"Sorry Tae, I have to." Jeongguk apologized, placing a soft hand on his shoulder, in a comforting matter, to calm him down. He felt tense, Jeongguk, not even being in Taehyung's mind, knew it hurt, and that he couldn't relax.
"Hey- look, its okay." Jeongguk mumbled, rubbing soft circles into his lower back with one hand, as he cleaned up the wound with the other. He was quite talented at everything.
Jeongguk began to rewrap the bandage, everyone had turned to work again by now, their interest and attention that was once on Taehyung, completely gone.
Jeongguk helped the boy slide his shirt back on, it balancing on his shoulders.
"See that wasn't that bad."
Taehyung glared at him.
"It was embarrassing."
Jeongguk threw away the old bandage, before grabbing Taehyung's wrist, making the other spin around.
"Well, you are embarrassing, but we still keep you.
Taehyung hit his chest playfully, and with that, Taehyung scampered off to get some snacks, and Jeongguk went to go file paperwork and funds. They were soaking in luxury.
Until Taehyung got a call from his parents.
