Arthur Rimbaud [Enchanted]

(Y/n) sipped champagne pretending to pay attention to the frivolous conversations around her.

Just empty words some guests used hoping to have a chance to speak with her.

(Y/n) always answered politely to everyone who believed to conquer her with a turn of phrase, but no one knew what she really thought.

Her father was a famous German spy and since little he taught her to be wary of any others.

The man tried to hide his profession, but there were still other spies that found out about the girl, so the tried to use her to gain some information.

As if she hadn't been prepared not to speak.

She kept smiling and nodding to everyone with fake interest.

She loved to accompany her father to social evenings: it was the only time she could wear her elaborate dresses, otherwise too pompous for everyday life.

Also, the food they served wasn't bad.

And her father loved to see from afar who dared do come to his daughter.

It could be useful for him.

But that night the girl was alone.

She reached a buffet with inviting appetizers.

She was choosing what to eat when she lifted her gaze hearing a song she knew.

She met a pair of golden eyes that captured her.

After she was lost in that golden aura for a few minutes she noticed those irises were staring back. It seemed they were asking "Have we met?".

She lowered her gaze as soon as she realized it, but she noticed how the figure's man was starting to make his way to her.

For a second, she forgot to be the object of the desire of many suitors, but that exchange of glances felt so real.

"I couldn't help but walk to you, milady. Our gaze captured me like a magnet."

The girl let her gaze linger on her new interlocutor.

His slender body was wrapped in an haute couture dress and his long raven hair fell over his waist.

(Y/n) was completely enchanted by him.

"Maybe I'm too handsome for your words?"

He asked playfully after a while.

"Oh... I apologize..." She whispered mortified.

"May I at least know the name of such beauty?" He asked curious.

"You don't know my name?" She was really surprised.

"I wouldn't have asked otherwise. And I believe I would have remembered you if I've already met you before. It's impossible for such a beauty to be forgotten."

"You flatter me. I'm (Y/n) (Y/s)."

"Arthur Rimbaud, enchanted."

He kissed her hand.

She was surprised.

No body had ever dared to do so.

(Y/n) like this gesture.

She needed someone that tried harder to have her.

Regardless of the reason a man might want her.

Arthur Rimbaud had already awakened her interest and they still had to speak properly. Something was telling her that the man was full of surprise.

"Were you waiting for someone?" He asked.

"I was just waiting to eat something... It all seems delicious!"

"Oh... I suggest you this canapé then, I can assure you they're delicious!"

Short after they were having fun trying every single dish on the table.

(Y/n) was pleasantly surprised because, for once, she was really having fun with someone in a place like that.

She didn't think it was possible.

After an hour of eating Rimbaud suggested to dance.

"Oh... I can't dance..." She was really sorry.

She would have gladly danced with him.

"It's not a problem, if you want, I can guide you!"

(Y/n) reluctantly accepted, but she didn't regret it.

Her knight led the dance pretty well.

After some dances they stepped aside.

(Y/n) tried to approach the table again.

"I'd love to taste something else..." He whispered on her neck.

The girl felt a shiver run through her spine.

"I know it might seem sudden, but I think you would agree with me if I told you you'll never know what the future holds... We should take advantage of what life offers us before it's too late..." He went on, sliding his fingers along her side.

(Y/n) wouldn't ever expected to end the night like this, but she was sure she wouldn't be able to refuse him.

So, she didn't resist him.

Maybe he was right.

You had to seize an opportunity when you could.

That night was magical.

(Y/n) wouldn't ever expected to spend the night with a total stranger, but that was what happened.

Arthur's charm had enchanted her and after a first kiss as soon as they were out the situation became hotter.

It seemed they both yearned for their bodies.

The next morning when (Y/n) woke up she was alone.

She asked herself if she was taken advantage of to satisfy a carnal pleasure, but then she remembered that Arthur hadn't taken her in an anonymous place, but he took her home.

It seemed like he had disappeared, but it was something positive.

She noticed a folded card where Arthur had been.

I am sorry to have given you the impression to have been abandoned after a night of passion, but I had a previous commitment I couldn't postpone, and I didn't want to wake you up, you were sleeping so well.

We spent a wonderful night together and I hope we'd have more in the future.

If it's the same for you I hope to find you still there when I come back.

I would be very delight.

Arthur

(If you want to run away, you'll find the keys in the drawer, leave them under the mat or I'll be forced to track you down to take back what's mine)

(Y/n) laughed.

She read it as a "I don't care if you refuse to stay because I'm coming to you wherever you are".

She pulled the message at her pocket.

She would have stayed hoping this was the very first page of their beautiful story.

"I was enchanted to meet you too, Arthur."

Rimbaud is the first one to have two one shots for him!!!

But I have to admit Enchanted was meant for him since the beginning, it was Dear John that wasn't planned XD

At first, I also wanted to make the one shot a bit more platonic, but I guess I've changed my mind.

See you next week with Better Than Revenge, I love it sooo much!!!
