☆Child!Chuuya - f u n

Knocking was heard against the sturdy door of the (l/n) household. (y/n) immediately jumped up and ran to the door, ignoring the protests of her mother who was not finished fixing up her daughter's hair.

As the young girl opened the door, there stood her best friend, Chuuya, clad in a tan yukata. The boy looked up, only to have his face erupt into different shades of red as he stared at the girl before him.

(y/n) was wearing a (f/c) yukata with (design) all over it. Her hair was pinned up with a sakura pin, stray pieces of hair untucked due to leaving her mother's side before she was finished. To say she looked adorable was an understatement.

"Chu-chan! Took you long enough! I've been waiting for foreverrrrr for you to get here!" The girl whined, her hands at her hips with a pout on her lips.

Chuuya's face got even redder, if that was even possible. "Huh?! What are you talking about?! I got here on time, 2:30 just like we said! Besides, you're not even finished fixing your hair, you doofus." Chuuya grumbled in response, looking away from the girl with his raging blush still on his cheeks.

"Oh yeah! Come inside for a bit! I'll let mommy fix my hair and then we'll go!" (y/n) grabbed the boys hand without warning and dragged him into the home.

Chuuya blushed at the contact, he forced every nerve in his body to not pull his hands away from the young girl's surprisingly strong grip. As much as he hated being bossed around and not being in control, he couldn't help but be soft whenever he was around (y/n).

The two children were walking on the sidewalk, nearing the venue of the festival. From far away, they could already see the various lanterns tied around the post and trees, the booths filled with prizes, the loud chattering between people, and the sweet scent of food.

They quickened their pace, excited to spend the day with one another.

"Chu-chan!! Look at that stuffed toy!" (y/n) pointed to a stuffed (animal), her eyes beaming and her other hand clutched tightly on Chuuya's shoulder.

"You want that? Geez you're such a child (y/n)." Chuuya huffed but dragged the girl towards the booth. It was a shooting game where one had to knock down a stack of bottles with the given three chances.

(y/n) payed the man behind the booth and he handed her a pellet gun. She closed one of her eyes with her tongue sticking out and was concentrating, trying her best to aim it directly at the bottom of the stack.

"What is she being so cute for?! Wait a minute — cute?!! Since when was (y/n) cute?! If anything, she's just a snotty brat! Yeah! A brat!" Chuuya blushed profusely at his own thoughts. He couldn't even begin to imagine liking his best friend in that way.

As the girl fired her last shot, the stack of bottles didn't even wobble at least once. "Aww man! I really wanted that (animal). I guess we'll just find another game. Come on Chu-chan! I saw a fishing booth over there!"

Just as (y/n) was about to pull Chuuya to the other booth, the boy pulled her back. (y/n) stumbled and almost fell, but was luckily caught by the boy before anything bad had happened.

"You're such a clutz! Here! Let me show you how this game is done! You suck so bad that I had a headache watching you!" Chuuya handed over the money to the man and he handed him a pellet gun.

With the first bullet, Chuuya was able to knock down the entire stack, winning him the stuffed (animal). He handed the toy over to the girl, looking away. His face matched the cherry blossom petals fluttering around them.

"Aww!! Chu-chan! You didn't have to do this for me! Thank you!" (y/n) had glomped Chuuya into a tight hug, making him stagger a bit.

"I didn't do this for you, you idiot!" The boy huffed, refusing to tell the truth that, he in fact, had done this for the girl.

"Oh really? I know you did this for me Chu-chan! You're such a tsundere!" (y/n) laughed at how adorable the boy was acting.

"I'm not a tsundere! I just did it because you're stupid sad face looked annoying!" (y/n) flinched at the boy's words. He looked so angry, she thought that he really did think she was stupid.

The (h/c) haired girl suddenly turned quiet and let out a quiet sorry. She was shaking ever so slightly but this didn't miss Chuuya's eyes.

The boy had realized his mistake and immediately blurted out words to hopefully cheer his best friend up.

"Uh— HEY! Don't be sad, alright?! Um- how— aH! How about you hold my hand!? Yeah! You like doing that right!?" Chuuya looked at (y/n), internally panicking.

The girl looked up at him and smiled. "Yeah!" interlocking her tiny little fingers with his.

They spent the rest of their day at the festival enjoying the different booths and having fun with one another.
