Clown (Bif)

Requested by RandomFandom_S

Pairing: Elaine x Bif Taylor

Plot: Could you do like a Halloween-ish, haunted house kind of setting? That'd be amazing!

--

"Come on Elaine! It'll be so much fun. You promised me you'll go," Christy whined unattractively. All her whining and begging began to grind Elaine's nerves to a sheer pulp. The girl was close to kicking the redhead out of her dorm if she had to listen to Christy for another second. Sadly, Christy was the only best friend Elaine had and didn't want to risk having her mad with her for weeks. Christy doesn't seem like it, but that girl can keep a grudge like no other. Who would want to be in the Gossip Queen's bad books?

Elaine applied the last of her passion fruit chapstick, "Fine," she prolonged the 'i', "I'll go to the stupid carnival."

Christy beamed. "AND you have to go to the fun house with me! That's the whole reason why I'm forcing you to go in the first place."

Elaine made a face.

Ah, the infamous Fun House. Every year, Billy Crane's Traveling (despite its namesake, that damned carnival made a permanent home in Bullworth) Carnival turned its attraction into a horror theme park. By all means, the carnival wasn't scary, the carnies simply add cheap and tacky Halloween decorations and have poorly dressed up carnies run after civilians with chainsaws. However, their one and only terrifying tourist attraction was the Fun House. With the help of the nerds and some generous donations from one of the preps, that place turns into a real haunted house of horrors. Never in all her years of being a resident of Bullworth has Elaine step one foot in the haunted house. As a child, she was petrified of course, but as the years passed and she had the misfortune of crossing paths with Gary, Elaine knew better than to go in. It came to no surprise that Halloween was the scarred boy's ultimate favorite holiday, and the manic had gotten every student and adult with one of his notorious pranks; all except her. With good reason; because the haunted house was the popular place to go on Halloween night, it was the most perfect hunting ground for Gary to make anyone shit their pants. If one were to simply not go, then you wouldn't be pranked in the most horrible and gruesome way. Nothing unnerved Elaine more than Gary Smith and rumor had it that Gary had a specific target in sight he vowed to get this Halloween night...

"You know exactly where I stand on that Hellfest, why are you making me go?" Elaine argued. If there any way Elaine can get out of it, she will get out of it.

Christy sat on the vanity, checking her costume one last time. "Because, if you go then there might be a chance we run into Bif and he can protect us from all the trigger-happy jerks who are drowning themselves in pranks." She adjusted her tight black latex bodysuit, snapping it into a more comfortable location. Elaine stared at the kitty ear clips in her hair that began to slip off.

"Fix your ears."

The redhead looked into the mirror and did as she was told. Elaine still couldn't believe that Christy oped to be a sexy cat, going to the extremes to purchase a slutty bodysuit that left nothing to the imagination. Christy's words processed in Elaine's mind seconds later. "What is that supposed to mean? What does Bif have to do with anything?" She hid the blush that left a trail of from her cheeks to the very tips of her ears. Elaine had the biggest crush on the prep for the longest of time now. Although she didn't show it in public whenever she was around him, she would doodle their names in notebooks or have private freakouts in the safety of her dorm room whenever she saw him. All she could ever think about was Bif. Elaine made sure to hide all evidence of her crush away from her best friend, but evidently, the gossip queen knew something was up. Still, she would deny the hell out of Christy's accusations.

Christy gave Elaine a pointed look. "Oh, you so know what I mean. You suck at lying El."

"I'm not lying!"

"Yeah right."

"I am right," Elaine defended herself calmly. If she were to appear too defensive and hysterical she'll give her herself away. "Let's just get this night over with," she grumbled with a tone of finality. She lifted herself off the bed she comfortably rested on, grabbing her thick coat and headed out the door. "Not so fast! You have to dress up too or else I'll look stupid."

Elaine rolled her eyes, "I doubt anyone would think you like stupid looking like that and no. I am not wearing a costume. I don't even have one."

Christy smirked devilishly. "Yeah, you do."

Elaine shrieked as a ghoul-like creature shot out of the window. Christy jerked Elaine's arm as an attempt to flee, only to run into a pig-butcher humanoid drenched in fake blood and a human head on a silver platter. "I fucking hate you, Christy!" Elaine screamed, the volume of the suspenseful music increased dramatically making it hard to determine whether Elaine screamed out of complete fright or hatred. Christy merely laughed maniacally, the redhead having an unnatural love for haunted houses and anything scary related. "Relax El, this place isn't that bad. Don't cha just love the adrenaline rush you get at these places?"

"Not when there's a high chance Gary has it out for me, you know how much I hate his guts."

"He's not that bad.." Christy trailed off before she gasped when something grabbed her foot.

Elaine narrowed her eyes at her best friend, ignoring the creepy clown that silently crept on them. For some reason, that clown felt out of place to Elaine, despite it being a haunted house and all. But in the meantime, she'll ignore it. "Yes, he is. Don't tell me you like him," she got straight to the point. Her accusal made Christy frown. "No, I don't. You're not astute."

"Since when did you start using big words? Hanging out with Gary have we?" Elaine teased. She knew her best friend was sneaking out at night for the past few weeks to meet up with someone, who she never knew, but Elaine glimpsed over Christy's shoulder and seen her text someone under the name of Scarface. A little obvious wasn't it? "No!" Christy screeched out as a carnie dressed as a mannequin jumped out. Christy cleared her throat once they got to the hall of mirrors, a place with less intense noises and jump scares. "I mean no, I do not hang out with Gary. I don't like him either," she rushed the last bit out, interrupting Elaine's smug look.

"Whatever you say." Elaine rolls her eyes, not at all believing Christy. All of the sudden, the creepy music stopped, making the atmospheres worse. "Uh, El?" Christy's voice trembled. Chills ran down her back, goosebumps littered her whole body. Something wasn't right. Both girls could feel it, however, Elaine chose to ignore it.

"What?" Elaine whispered. She wasn't sure why she felt the need to lower her voice, it actually made things worse. The whispering sounded like yelling.

"I-is he part of the act?" Christy made eye contact with the clown the second it entered her peripheral vision. The only clowns that were part of the act were pathetic and obviously cheap and tacky, like the rest of the carnies. But this one was impressively terrifying. The blood that dripped down its chin looked too realistic and the hatch it carried glimmered real steel. No other clown was dressed as grotesque and downright scary as this one.

Elaine narrowed her eyes at it as the clown tilted its head. "For his sake, I hope he is." In no means was Elaine a fighter or considered tough. If there was a situation where she was able to flee, she'd run fast enough to qualify for the Olympics. But with her friend here, terrified, Elaine was more than ready to put up a good fight. Out of the two of them, Elaine was more proficient in the art of fighting.

After her little threat, the clown approached them. The music started up again, though this time it was low and ominous. The girls backed up with every step the clown took, eventually they packed into a glass mirror.

Shit.

Elaine bravely shoved Christy behind her, mustering up the nasty glare she could, "I don't know what you're up to but you better leave us alone!" chastised Elaine, "Nice costume and all but it's not funny anymore!"

Her words didn't faze the clown at all, instead, he broke out into long strides, reaching the girls in seconds. The moment it was close enough, Elaine balled her fist and swung as hard as she could. Evidently, she did more damage to her hand than she did to the clown's chin. "Freak!" Elaine cradled her bruised hand tightly to her chest. The clown grabbed Elaine by the shoulders and yanked her to his chest right as a bucket of mysterious murky water that stunk worse than Edna's cooking splashed down all over Christy. No doubt would that nasty water directly hit Elaine if it wasn't for the clown.

Christy began to screech out profanities."Gary!! You jackass! You got me instead!"

Gary?

Elaine directed her attention from her best friend to the ceiling where a scarred boy dressed as a Nazi officer uniform stood tall and proud with an empty bucket in hand. His prominent smirk never left his face, but there was a slight hint of remorse in his usual arrogant eyes as he cackled over the now soaked redhead's cursing. "Lighten up babe, it's Halloween!"

"Babe?" Elaine whipped her head to face Christy, all the pieces clicking in her head.

"You set me up! Christy that's a low even for you." It made sense, all of it. Christy begging Elaine to go out tonight, the rumors of Gary's new prey, her constantly sneaking out at night. Gary and Christy have been a thing for lord know how long and Gary being the manipulative little son of a bitch that he is, charmed her into pimping Elaine out. "I swear it was just a harmless prank, Gary promised he'll only pour the moppy water out of Mr. Luntz's bucket not this shit- Gary! What the fuck is this shit?! It smells!" Christy jerked a random ragged cloth off and tried to wipe off the mysterious liquid off her. "And it stings."

Gary made his way down and to Christy's side, his deranged smile still on his face. He rolled his eyes, "Relax babe, it's nothing that causes permanent damage. Maybe.."

"Gary!"

The scarred boy moved to wrap an arm around the redhead but thought twice when he took a whiff of her. "Damn, I put waaaay too much of.." his voice trailed off, smirking. He turned to look at Elaine, who was still in the clown's arms, "It would have made a great prank." Gary winked at Elaine, "There's always next year, dollface." He would have caressed her cheek if it weren't for the clown who moved Elaine out of Gary's reach. He raised his hands in mock surrender, chuckling. "She's all yours man."

Gary grabbed Christy by the wrist, having enough of her insufferable yapping. "Oh shut up, I'll get you cleaned up."

"You better!"

The two left.

Forget having Christy upset at her for almost ruining Halloween, Elaine will never forgive Christy for tricking her and practically selling her out to the devil. And for making her wear a halloween costume.

In her quick fit of rage, Elaine remembered that she was still hugging the freaky clown.

"Okay I get it, you saved me. Now let me go."

The clown did. Without another word, Elaine finished the haunted house feeling the clown presence behind her. She didn't say a word just wanting to get out, go back to her dorm (and possibly lock Christy out because the two were roommates), and dolphin dive face first into her pillows and sheets. That sounded heavenly. Once she made it out, she didn't stop until she was out of the carnival and underneath the underpass. That was when the clown finally spoke up.

"Wait."

Elaine stopped, even when she was freezing all her body parts off, she stopped.

The clown broke in a slight jog to catch up, stopping right in front of her. "What?" Elaine asked irritably. "Are you okay?"

"Why would I answer to a stranger?"

In a flash, the clown whipped off his mask.

"Bif?"Elaine sputtered. She couldn't believe it. Her crush was standing right in front of her, hell he saved her from Gary and protectively held her in his arms. His big, strong arms with bulging biceps that can crack walnuts...

"Uh, El? You got a little drool at the corner of your mouth."

Elaine wiped her lips as she blushed furiously. Bif chuckled, the mischief glint look in his eyes told Elaine that Bif lied, making her look like a fool. "Liar."

He smiled. Bif took the chance to look at Elaine, really look at her. And it made him blush too. Bif coughed awkwardly, "Nice costume."

Elaine glanced down at her dress and tried to cover up the best she could. Christy snagged a light blue and white lolita dress with chic ivory lacy stockings that go mid-thigh. The dress had an opening in the bust area, showing an immense amount of cleavage. "I'm supposed to be a doll," Elaine weakly explained.

"I see, explains the pigtails and rosy red cheeks."

"Christy insisted on it."

The thought of the redhead made Elaine frown.

Bif noticed it, "Speaking of which, I should thank Christy."

Elaine furrowed her brows, "Why?"

The prep had a sheepish look on his face, "A few months ago I overheard Christy telling Angie about your massive crush on me-"

Oh.

" -and to be honest, I didn't know who you were back then."

Okay, ouch.

"Wow," Elaine chuckled humorlessly. She didn't need to stand in the freezing cold half naked listening to her crush admit that she was a nobody. "I'm going back to the dorms now."

"Wait!" Bif grabbed ahold of Elaine's wrist to stop her in her tracks. "You didn't let me finish."

"After I heard about it, I was curious to see who you were. I kind of," Bif hesitated, "I kind of asked people about you, followed you around school for weeks-"

"You stalked me."

"No! Nothing like that."

Elaine rolled her eyes, "Yea you did. You stalked me for months like you stalked me in that haunted house."

"I only did the haunted house thing to make sure you were okay. I also happened to overhear Christy tell Angie about Gary's prank. I know that bastard, he would never keep a promise."

Elaine blushed again. "Well, thanks for saving me, my clown in shining blood."

Bif smiled, "It was my pleasure, doll." Bif took Elaine's hand into his and led her back to the school. "If it wasn't for Christy's big mouth, I wouldn't have known about you and find out the amazing, beautiful girl that you are. I wouldn't have fallen for you.." Elaine's heart lodged itself in her throat.

The two walked back to the girl dorms, talking up a storm. Elaine successfully managed to tame the crazy beating in her chest and rampaging butterflied in her stomach. "Again, you didn't have to walk me home Bif."

They stopped at the door. "Again, I did have to. It's Halloween night, who knows what kind of maniacs are lurking in the shadows; especially since you're wearing that."

"Well thank you, good night."

"Night, Elaine."

Bif looked into her eyes, glancing down at Elaine's lips. Elaine noticed. She stood on her tip-toes and gave Bif a peck on the lips.

"I'll see you at school?"

"Of course, sweet dreams doll."

Bif swooped in and stole another kiss. He left with a skip in his step, leaving Elaine in a storm of emotions while the goofiest of smiles planted itself on his face.

Eeeeeekkk! I hope you enjoyed it! It's not much, although it's well over 2600 words. This is supposed to be a one-shot, not a chapter lol. I have to get my shit together and come up with more one-shots/ imagines. I miscalculated, finals are upon me and I started this drabble right before then, so I'm drowning in finals, work, and my promise to keep this drabble going on time. But rest assured, I'm getting it all done.
