Stephen's POV

The look on Michael's face is priceless. He pulls me into a tight hug. I hug him back. He lets go and asks,

"How did you get here? "

I smile and say, "I drove on my bike. That's the longest I've ever drove on my bike. I'm glad I didn't need gas. "

He pushes my shoulder and says,

"That was dangerous! "

I lick my lips and say, "I did it for you. "

He blushes and leans in to kiss me. But suddenly a student walks in. I grab my hat and cover my face. I say, in a different voice,

"I'll go get a bag for the squirrel. "

I quickly get out of there. I'll come back to visit Michael later. Right now, I need to figure out where I'm going to be sleeping for the next week.

As I sneak around, I hear someone yell,

"Hey! You! "

I turn around devastated that I'd been caught, but it was another camp counselor. They don't know I'm a student. He says,

"You must be the new guy. You're gonna burn up with all those clothes on. Anyway, there's a little party tonight in the pool lounge if you want to join us. Also, Jackie is looking for you. She said it's urgent. She's in the main building. "

I gulp and ask, "The main building? Where all those students are? And the principle? "

He nods and says, "I know. I don't like them either. Snot nosed kids. Some of them are rich bastards. But, yeah, she's looking for you. "

I nod. He walks away. I head towards the main building. If I don't show up when someone calls me, I'll be suspicious then I might get caught and I won't be able to be with Michael. I'll make this quick. I'll look for Michael later.

I'm pleased to find that the main building is empty of all students. I walk in and say,

"Um, Jackie called for me. "

She comes out the back and says, "Right here! I'm right here. "

She looks exhausted. She says,

"I need you to go get a dead squirrel from cabin 7. Here, use this bag. "

She hands me a plastic bag. This is just funny. I nod and say,

"You got it. "

I turn to go, but she stops me and says,

"Tim, please wear less clothing, you're making me burn up. "

I nod and get out of there. Who's Tim? I look down at my shirt and see the name tag. Shit. I hope he took the week off. I hurry to Cabin 7, but Michael is no where to be found.

"Your childish antics won't win over Michael. "

I turn around and see Shaun. I knew he had a thing for Michael! He says,

"Michael needs a mature, intelligent, well financed man. He doesn't need a immature, stupid, poor man! "

I clench my fists. He smiles and says,

"Hit me, and I'll be forced to tell Mr. Pike about your little adventure. "

He smiles and says, "Good luck finding a place to sleep tonight. I'm Michael's bunk mate by the way. "

I clench my jaw. When I left earlier I didn't look at the student's face, but I remember his shoes. Shaun's wearing them. Fuck!

I don't want Michael anywhere near that scumbag! Michael doesn't care about money. And I'm mature. I'm not stupid! Michael doesn't think so... Right?

Michael's POV

I decided to walk around a bit before 8:10am. This place is truly beautiful. I love nature. It's so peaceful. I looks towards my cabin and see Shaun exit it. I can't believe he's my roommate. He better not pull any tricks or Stephen will hurt him.

Shaun has a evil grin on his face as he walks away from our cabin. What did he do? Before I can take a step forward, my watch beeps. I already set my watch to all the timers. Then I hear the announcement,

"ALL CAMPERS REPORT TO THE GYMNASIUM FOR SAFETY RULES."

I really should attend this meeting. I head towards the Gymnasium. When I enter it's pretty crowded. There seems to be another school here. I sit away from everyone. I don't want to be picked on.

Shaun takes a seat next to me. He smiles and says,

"This place is amazing, don't you think? "

I finally ask, "Shaun, what are you doing? "

He looks at me confused and says,

"I'm sitting here. "

I shake my head and say, "I have a boyfriend, Shaun. I'm not interested. "

He places his hand on his chest, pretending to be hurt. He says,

"Michael, all I want is to be your friend. We're going to be sharing a room all week. I think we need a fresh positive redo. "

He extends his hand and says,

"Hi, I'm Shaun. "

Is this a trick? He is a pretty nice guy. It can't hurt to be his friend... I hope. I shake his hand and smile.

"I'm Michael. "

He smiles at me.

Jackie whistles for everyone's attention. She grabs the microphone and says,

"Alright campers! My name is Jackie and in order for everyone to have a splendid time, I need to explain some safety rules. First, when swimming in the lake, always have a partner. "

I pull out my pen and pad. These rules aren't in the pamphlet.

"Second, the pool lounge is off limits due to renovations. Third, when exploring the great outdoors, always have your whistle on you in case you get lost. It's safer to have a partner also. Fourth, if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe with your bunk mate, then please let one of the camp counselors know and we'll get you a new roommate. "

I glance at Shaun. I might have to get a new roommate. I focus back on Jackie.

"Now, I'll introduce the camp counselors. "

The counselors are standing shoulder to shoulder behind Jackie. I see Stephen standing with his hat over his face! Oh my goodness! Please don't get caught.

Jackie goes to each one and says their name, then the counselor says hi.

"Mark. "

"Hey! "

"Jenny. "

"Hi there! "

"Kevin. "

"Wuzzup!!! "

Most of my classmates clapped and cheered for him.

"Tim. "

She's at Stephen! He says, in that weird voice,

"Hello. "

She moves on. Thank goodness! I sigh relief. Shaun leans over and whispers,

"He's a trouble maker. "

I ignore him. He's risking expulsion for me. I have a special place in his heart. I don't want him to get in trouble, but at the same time, I'm happy he's doing all this for me.

He's my Stephen.
